She wanted to know what was it that I needed? Told her I only need an eyebrow wax and also an under arm wax. You can also make an appointment on their website or on the app. Right away I was seen by Maddy and Izzy. They wanted to know who I would be comfortable with. I said,"it doesn't matter, whoever does a great job" and we all laughed. Maddy took me into the room where they do the waxing, and started doing my underarm first, then my eyebrows. I told her not too thick, & not to thin. That's exactly what she did. Just a touch up. It was a very pain-free experience. I got the feeling that they use high quality wax and I was right. Heard other patrons talking about it. She even applied Aloe Vera to cool down the sensation, which wasn't bad at all. Some places don't do that. They sell many different types of products for your skin and hair. What I liked was that they didn't convince, nor force you to buy anything. To be honest with you, the price for both were a tad expensive. I paid $31 for my under arms, and $30.00 for my eyebrows. Yes, both of them. LOL.:-)) I have 2 eyebrows. Minus her tip. They do all types of wax, for women and men. Eyebrows, chest, bikini, underarms, legs, arms, lips, entire face, and more. Place was spotless clean, with street and private lot parking. They have gender neutral restrooms. I guess you get what you pay for! I will stop by again, if and when I am in the area. They have multiple locations and I would like to extend my thanks to both ladies, management and European Wax Center.

It was not easy to find a great lash artist. The place I used to go to dropped me as a client because of my super fine lashes. They also ruined my lash line and now my lashes are even harder to extend, which I have been told. Thank GOODNESS I found Deana at Madison 101! Not only did she take me as a client, but she was honest about my current lash situation and worked hard to give me beautiful extensions but also help repair the damage that had already been done. It's been two months later and not only do my lashes look amazing but they also look healthier, and I just can't say enough about how great I feel about myself and my lashes. I can always count on Deana to do a consistently beautiful job and to always work with the lash line I have. If her expertise aren't enough, Deana is also smart, funny and an incredible oil painter. In all seriousness, she is So talented! While getting your lashes done, checkout her paintings on the wall. She also sells at a nearby gallery and online, who knew.... I will never go anywhere else. At this point, even if I moved across the state, I will fly in just to see Deana. I promise you won't find anywhere better than Master Lash. It was not easy to find a great lash artist. After not being able to get a hold of my usual eyelash expert, I took the enormous risk of finding someone new. I looked all over the internet and yelped those located in Pasadena. I was quite hesitant about going anywhere since you never know what your going to get... To make a long story short, I was both happy and relieved to find my saving grace, Deana at Madison 101 Salon in Pasadena. Deana surpassed my expectations and she did a fabulous job on my eye lash extensions. I really could not be happier with the results. The salon is close to my job so making appointments is much more convenient for me. I have had the extensions for three weeks now and just made my refill appointment for this weekend! I got so many compliments on them. They did not make my real lashes fall out as much, she uses great products, the lash extensions last and they don't twist like other lashes I have had put in, in the past. Love this place! Such a cute little cottage! From the moment I walked in I knew the next couple of hours would be calming and "me time". As I was waiting for my sylist Deana to greet me, I noticed all the beautiful artwork on the walls and found out later that Deana was not only an eyelash artist but was the creator of all the artwork in the salon as well. I've had eyelash extensions for the last several years and have found my "Artist". Never before have my eyelashes looked so natural and lasted so long. I travel from Long Beach to Pasadena and everytime I make an appointment Deana is waiting and ready to attend to me right on time. It is so nice to have my time respected. I have referred two of my friends to Deana and they both are now regular clients too. Parking is easy and the ambience is charming. The salon is clean and homey! Stefanie is like MAGIC! I have to say, the BEST facial I have ever experienced! You'll have that lasting glow for days! Stefanie is also the master of eyebrow shaping design and tinting! If I could give her 10 stars I would. Deena did such a beautiful job on my lashes. She's an magician/artist. So I just moved from NY and needed to find a new lash lady. After getting my lashes destroyed by a previous salon (horrible isolation in Pasadena, so I won't mention the name) I did a yelp search. I knew at this point I was very skeptical and was not going to trust anyone to do my lashes again, so I wanted to make sure that I found the perfect person. After calling many places, I finally connected with Deena from Madison 101 salon. In our phone conversation, she was very thorough on how she would apply my lashes. I've been wanting to get eyelash extension done for so long already and I finally did it ! And thank god I did! I used to wear strip lashes everyday and now I don't have to bother with putting and taking off my strip lashes. This was a great investment and I will definitely be coming back in the future! Love the convenience of it! Aside from liking my eyelash extension what was great about this place is that they're very professional but make you feel comfortable. I feel so lucky to have met Melissa Samuels over twenty years ago. Her facials not only make your skin so alive and refreshed but the experience is always so soothing and relaxing. I get my lashes done with another place but wanted to try this place after seeing a Groupon for a massage deal. Had a lash touch up with Dena today. I went to Raissa at Work Face & Body for 2 chemical peels and have been very happy with the…read moreresults. 1st peel: Since I'm Asian (so more prone to hyperpigmentation from procedures) she started me on a lighter peel. The visual results were small but I didn't experience major break outs in the 4 months until my next peel (aka a miracle). She described light peels as "chipping away" at the problems (for me, milder acne scars and hyperpigmentation and larger pores). 2nd peel: We went for a medium peel and I certainly peeled! Which was great. The results were more obvious (but still subtle), with less texture and smaller pore in a patch of skin with acne scars. I can see that some of my dark spots faded a few shades. Raissa is a lovely, warm person and very competent at her work. Her clean, lovely room is located in Bravo Hair Salon with plenty of parking in a garage off Lake Ave. (Be sure to directly put in the address! There is a different Brave salon in Pasadena closer to my home and I always accidentally drive there first!)

Elizabeth was the sweetest, angelic person who instantly made me feel so comfortable. She was so attentive to my millions of questions and gave such good suggestions. You can tell that she really knows her stuff. I never at any time got a sense she was trying to upsell her services or products to me. During the facial experience, she explained each step and checked in to make sure I was ok with temperature, pressure, extractions, etc. it was the most attentive and thoughtful service. At no point did I feel any discomfort that needed voicing. She was so detailed doing the extractions and surprisingly, I had very minimal irritation coming out of the appointment. I left my appointment super glowy and rejuvenated. The session price was reasonable and I will be making this a part of my monthly routine. I can't say enough good things!

I did some research…read moreonline and noticed that her website for booking was only for existing customers so I ended up reaching out to Elizabeth over IG to check if she was taking new customers, and she responded so quickly even though it was late and over the weekend. Elizabeth clarified that she is taking new customers, but would help to schedule the first appointment for me due to recent no-shows/cancellations, and then after my first appointment I would have access to her website for booking. I've been on a bit of a self-care binge as of late and getting facials was at the top of my list just due to my own concerns about hyperpigmentation. I discussed with Elizabeth over IG my concerns and decided to get the microdermabrasion facial. Upon arrival to my first appointment, I was greeted by Elizabeth's warm smile and friendly demeanor. Filled out some forms and then Elizabeth was able to see that a hydrodermabrasion facial would be better suited for my skin type (and though it's more expensive, since she quoted me a microdermabrasion, I was able to pay for micro price the first time). I've been to Elizabeth a couple times now and plan to make this a regular thing (hopefully every 4-6 weeks). Elizabeth has gentle hands and is super informative with any questions I had about skin and skincare. She even uses a steamer prior to extractions, which I love! She does different masks and LED light, and she will tell you what products she is using. Also includes a scalp, neck and shoulder massage. It always feels like a pampering session, and I have even been taking some pictures to compare for myself since it's harder to see the changes to my skin day-to-day. I always leave feeling refreshed. Highly recommend Elizabeth! Parking is street parking (directly in front can be challenging to back out of sometimes, otherwise, you can park on Chelsea and walk a little further over.) As a side note: it is a bit of a splurge to get facials, but Elizabeth caters her facials to your skin type and never pressures to purchase additional skincare products. I did purchase a lightening serum of her own brand (I think?) Sorella and have noticed a difference in evening my skin tone. Gratuity is always optional, but Elizabeth's system lets you add to your card payment if you want.

I've been under a lot of stress and experiencing lots of jaw pain and facial tension. I walked in a couple minutes early and was immediately greeted at the front desk. The space is clean and minimalist. The bed is very comfortable, heated, and can adjust to better support your back. My technician Lourella was very warm and friendly and went over the whole agenda in the first couple of minutes so I knew what to expect. I loved that they do a simple cleanse first. The massage was so nice and thorough and since I added the buccal massage we finished with that and wow was that amazing. I feel very relaxed and snatched too. After they do another cleanse and your skincare. The heated neck towel was the perfect finishing touch. I didn't to get up! Would definitely do this again and would recommend to others. Parking is a little tight so allow yourself a few extra minutes.

Her knowledge and background in LDM is top tier and she doesn't BS when it comes to proper techniques. I always have the best experience with Becca and I'm always snatched when I leave Detoxia. The facility is super clean and very aesthetic, her massage room is such a vibe! I'm transported into peace and tranquility once I lay down on the heated cloud soft massage bed. Becca is so fun to talk to as well, I'm always comfortable and trust that the LDM I receive will make me less puffy, bloated, and leaving feeling light. It's a plus that Becca also has experience as an esthetician, part of the LDM treatment includes the face so the products she uses are high quality. What I love most about Detoxia is the technique they use. People get LDM confused with sculpting massages-- proper LDM pressure should never be too hard or cause bruising. I've had that happen at previous LDM's I've tried. The amount of pressure Becca uses is just the right amount, she'll even ask if the pressure she's applying is comfortable for you. Definitely try Detoxia if you're in search of an LDM that leaves you looking and feeling amazing!
