    Halibut
    J Warren R.

I've been anxious to try Madeline ever since they opened. It did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal, the service exceptional and the decor comfortable and inviting. Chef Quincy Cherrett hits all the right spots with his culinary skills. The Tom Yum Toast with Shrimp, Bread, Charred Tomato and Fish Sauce was a beautiful way to start the meal. The seared fresh Halibut was delicious, crispy, tender and flavorful. The Pasta Pomodoro, al dente, fresh, flavorful and delicious. Very good wine list by the glass and bottle. Server was helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Street parking remains problematic. This restaurant is in the old Fruition space - I did not notice any significant changes in the interior decor. Still warm, inviting and useable.

From when we walked in Whitney was ah-mazing! We were celebrating 3 birthdays and the apps, entrees and desserts did not disappoint. Favs were tom yum, scallops and the sticky toffee pudding was RIDICULOUS! Kudos Chef Quincy!

Bread service with a seasonal ramp butter

Amazing, amazing restaurant! This is one of the restaurant openings that I've been looking forward to. As Chef Quincy Cherrett's first restaurant, I was super excited to see how his previous experience at Izakaya Den and Sushi Den translates to a bistro at the former Fruition space. We came here on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed. The space is beautiful and reminiscent of a cute French bistro you could find in Paris. Definitely a restaurant for a date night. We began the meal with wine and the Bread and Butter. The bread is a dreamy fluffy focaccia served with a seasonal ramp butter. No exaggeration but this is one of the best bread and butter appetizer I've had in the past year or so. The bread is super fluffy, served nicely toasted, and the ramp butter is insanely wonderful. This is definitely I will get again just to see the change in the seasonal butter, and I have no doubt that later iterations will be just as good. Then, I ordered the Halibut, and my table ordered the Spring Lamb Agnolotti and Scallops. Let's begin with the Halibut. The fish is beautiful cooked, moist and glistening on the insane. The forbidden rice is also cooked very nicely, firm without being mushy, and pairs perfectly with the fish and the rich curry broth underneath. Now the green curry, just a taste and you see Chef Cherrett's love for thai dishes. It's very authentic in taste and has a decent spice level that compliments but does not overwhelm the dish. This is definitely a must have entree here. I also had a bite of the Spring Lamb Agnolotti and Scallop dishes. The Spring Lamb Agnolotti is very flavorful with nicely filled agnolotti. The pasta is very well made, and the filling is flavorful, though slightly on the gamey side so you have to like that lamb flavor. The scallops are expertly cooked and the white miso celery root puree perfectly compliments the sweetness of the scallops. Both entrees are extremely tasty! Finally, we finish with the Sticky Toffee Pudding and no lie, this is one of the best dessert I've had here in Denver. The sticky toffee pudding is rich and moist, and it comes with a miso caramel that has the perfect level of saltiness to compliment the sticky toffee pudding. The vanilla ice cream on top, while basic, completes the dish. Overall, Madeline is a beautiful bistro serving amazing food. The service is impeccable, and there was not a single dish here that I wouldnt recommend. If I wasn't so full from a full day of eating, I would be ordered all those yummy sounding appetizers as well. I've heard amazing things about the Tom Yum Toasye, the Crab Cakes, and the Caesar Salad. I'm already making my next reservation here and this is definitely going to be on my rotation for the foreseeable future.

Absolutely nothing but good things to say about this new gem. From the second we walked in, we felt welcome, attended to and just excited. Everyone had such good energy. The space was small and cozy and the vibe was on point. The food was even better! We got multiple different dishes and one thing was better than the last. The standout was definitely the beets and the halibut. The flavor profile was so unique I don't even know how to explain it. Already made a reservation to go back soon and try other things on the menu!

Adding my review because I'm gobsmacked that this place only has two reviews on Yelp. I found this place through Resy to use our Amex credit for the quarter, and found this gem of a place to celebrate our anniversary. It's close to a residential area in Denver, and it seems to have repurposed what used to be a shop. The interior has very cozy and elegant vibes, but it is on the smaller side. My partner and I sat next to each other in the booth to make sure the other side of the table left a clear walkway. The service was incredibly nice and attentive throughout and was kind enough to package our leftovers. The food, though, was amazing! The tom yum toast was a star of the night for me, and my partner loved the halibut with green curry. Everything was decently priced for an upscale restaurant and had good portion sizes. You can't go wrong with any of the items, as all the ones we ordered were delicious. I did feel mildly deceived by photos of oysters in some places, but I was still happy with the food we got.

CAESAR SALAD Frisse, 62 Degree Egg, Parmesan, Focaccia Breadcrumbs
    Tak L.

Madeline has to be one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Denver, and it lives up to every bit of the hype. Nestled into the former Fruition space on Sixth Avenue, this cozy restaurant showcases Chef Quincy Cherrett doing something genuinely special: blending the rhythm of seasonal cuisine with Asian influence across both the food and cocktail program. Madeline embodies rustic elegance and genuine hospitality, trading the stiffness of fine dining for warmth and intention. From the moment you walk in, every detail feels thoughtfully considered, not for show, but for the guest experience. Bread & Butter -- DO NOT SKIP. The house focaccia is airy, flavorful, and utterly dangerous. The red miso butter with charred green onions will completely redefine what bread service can be. The flavors are unreal. The half dozen oysters arrived in beautifully fluted shells with a clean, creamy ocean flavor. The strawberry ginger mignonette adds a bright, unexpected lift and is the perfect way to begin the evening. The Caesar salad may honestly be the best Caesar in Denver. The 62-degree egg makes the dish: silky, rich, and transformative. The focaccia breadcrumbs deliver the kind of crunch that turns a side salad into something memorable. The spring lamb agnolotti with lamb mousse, spring mint pea purée, morels, asparagus, pear demi, and sherry vinaigrette was cooked perfectly, but the morels are what elevate this dish into something unforgettable. This is the plate you'll think about on the drive home. The scallops were perfectly seared with a golden crust and tender interior. The white miso purée grounds the dish, while the jasmine-pickled pears brighten every bite. It paired beautifully with the Grande Shrubbery cocktail. We also tried the Tanuki ("raccoon" in Japanese) with gin, Lillet Blanc, Licor 43, yuzu, and basil -- balanced, fresh, and beautifully executed. The team at Madeline was exceptional throughout the evening. Brian was a gracious host, and Lindsay brought warmth and genuine engagement to every guest around her. The rest of the staff moved with quiet attentiveness, always present without hovering. At one point, a napkin fell to the floor and someone appeared with a fresh one before I even noticed. That level of hospitality doesn't happen by accident

If this restaurant doesn't get a Michelin star I will be floored. The food, service and ambiance are all absolutely perfect. The halibut is the best halibut I've ever had. Crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside (which I have not seen many restaurants do). I love the curry sauce was poured table side. The lamb agnolotti were stuffed with juicy lamb. Their steak tartare was severed with perfectly grilled focaccia but yet it still was soft and fresh. Vegetarian or no, the beet carpaccio was divine with a fantastic peanut curry sauce. Don't skip dessert. I may have had a slight preference for the miso sticky toffee bread budding but the passion fruit took the creme brulee to a whole new level. Highly recommend this spot for any and all special occasions. It is very small so reservations are definitely needed

That being said, the food seems very basic on the menu but it is SO INCREDIBLE! Cannot recommend the sweet potato enough and ceviche (ask for chips). If this place wasn't always booked I would be going every week. We were there for a birthday celebration and they brought our mezcal shoes for us. We felt taken care of and loved every minute of it. They also have a happy hour to look out for!

This place fills up 60 days in advance, without fail! When we arrived, we were able to get parking about a block away on the street. We were soon greeted and guided to our seats upon walking in. This is a very small restaurant - only a few tables, not many options for big groups, and some bar seating both inside and outside. I can see why the reservations are in such high demand! We were recommended to get 4-5 small plates, so we decided on the Guacamole Alma, Burrito de Frijoles Puerco, Apache en su Jugo, and Enmolada de Pato. We also shared the hibiscus margarita and Mex 75. The drinks came out first - the hibiscus margarita was so refreshing, light and delicious! We weren't as big fans of the Mex 75 - but if you like smoky drinks this is the one for you. The guacamole came out first - it was tangy and tasty. I will say that the other dishes were a lot more unique. The burrito was a standout - we absolutely loved the homemade sourdough tortilla, one of the best we've ever tasted. The chorizo filling was savory and tasty. The Apache en su Jugo was unique and had a lovely flavor - if you are a beef tartare fan this is a wonderful dish to try! The enmolado de pato came out last and we thoroughly enjoyed the mole and flavor. This is definitely worth checking out. I will say as a Houston native we have several restaurants with similar flavors and slightly lower price tags and wait times, so I am a bit spoiled in that regard. But all in all the service is wonderful, it's a pleasure to try so many different and unique dishes, and the joy of snagging a reservation is worth it!

However, when you enter through the front door and walk in, you get the sense that not only does this restaurant belonghere, you soon will be treated and understand what taiwanese-style hot hots are, and it is truly delicious! We started with orders of popcorn chicken and chicken wings. Both items are a must try appetizers. As I popped a couple of popcorn chicken in my mouth, even without the accommodating sauce, the tastebuds in my mouth were partners dancing and jumping for joy. The sauce used to marinade and cooked in the chicken wing was so good! No side sauce necessary, but it was an added bonus to the dish. My main entrée was the seafood lobster hot soup, and boy, it was flavorful, tasty, and totally delicious! So many items in this soup including shrimp, octopus, clams, mussels, and a lot of different vegetables, but my favorite was the taro. These taro slices went very well with the soup. If you happen to be in the area, go and check out this restaurant. Because of the many soup options, don't be shy to ask for recommendations from the staff. They are very helpful and will assist you and your hunger needs.

Every restaurant review eventually collapses into one word…read more Yum. We can debate technique, texture, acidity, balance, and presentation, but every review ultimately comes down to one question: Did it make you say, "Yum"? Mescaleria Alma made me say it over and over again. I've been here several times. A recent visit wasn't just my best meal here, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had anywhere. The first thing that captures your attention is the room. A stunning wall of spirits rises behind the bar and seamlessly blends into the open kitchen, creating one continuous stage. Watching the team work is mesmerizing. Tiny containers of herbs, sauces, oils, citrus, garnishes, and countless other components come together with quiet precision. It reminds me of watching a great sushi counter. Alone, they're just ingredients. Together, they become something far greater than the sum of their parts. The hospitality begins the moment you walk in. Dominique, the general manager, welcomed me back, remembered me from previous visits, and made me feel genuinely happy that I had returned. That's increasingly rare. I always sit at the bar because that's where a restaurant makes me feel comfortable. When I first sat down, the bartender was busy and focused. Over the course of the evening, cocktails became conversations. We talked about flavors, restaurants, and what makes a memorable dining experience. By the end of the night he slid over a bartender's choice, a Corn Sour, not because I ordered it, but because he thought I'd enjoy it. He was right. That's the difference between service and hospitality. Then there was the food and the taste of the cocktails. The kitchen and bar were firing. The Clover Club cocktail was beautifully balanced and wonderfully complex. The Mollete de Mejillones with smoked mussels, scallop aioli, morita hot sauce, and fresh lemon was extraordinary. Then came the Burrata con Huitlacoche. Let's not overthink this. The tomatillo salsa verde was orgasmic. Bright. Fresh. Acidic. Alive. It elevated every bite. The Pescadilla de Marlín finished with smoky tuna, molten cheese, crisp tortilla, and a beautiful salsa that tied everything together. I've stopped trying to decide whether I like Mescaleria Alma, Alma Fonda Fina, or Alteño more. It's becoming the wrong question. Chef Curiel and his team have created restaurants with different personalities but the same DNA: creativity, precision, warmth, and genuine hospitality. As someone who has spent a career helping organizations perform better, I couldn't help but admire what they've built. One exceptional restaurant is difficult. Building several at this level is organizational excellence. Walking back to my car, I thought one thing: I'm lucky. Lucky that people devote this much imagination, discipline, and care to feeding complete strangers. Some people see a bill. I saw craftsmanship. Every penny was worth it. Thank you, Chef Curiel, Dominique, the bar team, the kitchen, and everyone at Mescaleria Alma. You reminded me that excellence still exists. And tonight... it tasted like "yum."

Made a reservation for 9 pm but got into town around 3:30 and they made sure to get me a table right away which was so kind of them and something they did NOT have to do. Kelsey was my server and she was so beautiful both inside and out. Very warm, welcoming and gave me great recommendations that were both personal for her but also worked with me when I wasn't sure about what to get after she recommended a few things. The food....was...SENSATIONAL. The Tostada De Toro I think every person needs to try once in their life. I feel like for whatever reason Mexican seafood is still underrated to the average person as I mentioned to Kelsey. They told me I could eat it open face or use a fork and knife so I tried it both ways starting with the first couple of bites open face. To be honest you could eat this upside down in a blizzard and it would be great, it was that damn good! The people sitting next to me giggled because I looked like I was having a foodgasm from my reaction to every bite. Then the Aguachile De Erizo had me licking my lips and then eventually drinking the "broth" (hope that's the right term) to the last drop with Kelsey's full approval hahahaha. I had never tried Uni before and what a great introduction it was. I kept finding pieces of scallops and uni in my mouth after and it was such a pleasant surprise. The Non-Alcoholic Colada I actually had first and it made be feel like I was on a beach somewhere. Delicious! The only downside to the meal was that I had to walk through the city after I left so I couldn't keep eating more which I really wanted to. But that's a blessing in disguise because I'm so excited to come back and try even more dishes that I didn't get to and I immediately recommended it to friends who live in Denver but were out of town and couldn't join me when I was there. Again cannot say enough about the service and the atmosphere which was so sexy. It felt both relaxed and accessible while still feeling upscale. (I mean I walked in with a backpack and a sleeveless shirt and didn't feel out of place or too dressed down at all. And if I was the staff didn't make me feel this whatsoever). Finally one more shoutout to the entire team for making it a great experience and make sure to ask for Kelsey as your server she's one in a million! PS my forgetful self forgot my wallet at the table and Kelsey came running out to bring it to me with a laugh and a smile. So somehow even after my meal they were still finding a way to be the best!

The carnita taco was so oily it was inedible. The birria taco was extremely bland, no flavor at all. The pork belly stack was ok but the sauce overwhelmed the entire dish. Finally, the pancit bowl was underwhelming to say the least. It was edible but wouldn't order again. Note that this place is definitely overpriced for what you get. Our bill was almost $120! Keep in mind the tacos were tiny and the lumpia had 3 in an order. Definitely disappointing and won't go back.
