There is so much space in the front with cornhole boards or just to hang out. When we walked In I could tell this was going to be amazing BBQ. Writing on the walls and chairs, menus board hanging on the wall and daily specials written on chalk boards. Or orders were quickly taken by a very efficient hostess the. We grabbed a seat. I ordered brisket and pork with collards and cobbler. My wife ordered the same with the grits and my son had the side of Mac and cheese with his brisket. The brisket slices were think and it was really well cooked. The pork was awesome but the sides were out of this world. Every single one of them was perfect. There were four BBQ sauces to choose from, Eastern NC style, hot, mild and mustard. I am not a huge fan of mustard BBQ (I'm from NC, IYKYK) but I'll say this was the best I had. The hot was my favorite and it had just the right amount of heat. For those that may be concerned about the description of the writing on the walls and divey spot don't be. The place was clean and very nice. The health rating was great and it was a really nice place.

Even my kids who are picky eaters ate! My favorite sides were the jalapeno cheddar grits and loaded potato casserole. The ribs and brisket was super soft and well seasoned 11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

It isn't just that their BBQ Ribs, Pork, and Chicken are the best around, it is that they do everything else better as well! Ribs: dry or wet, they are spectacular. I prefer the dry just because they aren't as messy and let the flavor of the meat shine, but found the wet ribs freeze and thaw better (and still were some of the best ribs ever!). Chopped Pork: so flavorful and juicy. No sauce needed. Brunswick Stew: the best I've ever had. I drank a quart of it straight from the styrofoam cup. That's why I bought 2 quarts... I bought this entire meal to go, froze the leftovers for 2 weeks, thawed them, and just had a BBQ feast that noone else could touch! Now, on to the appetizers - their potato crisps, nacho chips, and cheese sticks are ridiculous. The portions are over-the-top, and they taste better than anywhere else. Italian and Mexican restaurants have nothing on these! Then you get to the fish and shrimp. Surely a BBQ restaurant can't do seafood well, right? Sadly for the local seafood places...Creekside does it better again! You will never have a tastier piece of fried catfish or shrimp than right here. And that is coming from me after a 20 minute drive home - if I ate it at the restaurant, I'm not sure I could stand it. Everything I've gotten at Creekside has been well above my expectations, no matter how many times I go. This includes their great customer service, as well. I will admit, I've never tried any dessert or anything "green" here, as the BBQ, sides, and seafood are just so good I don't want to waste room on sweets or veggies. If I want a dessert, I'll pour a little bit of their sweet BBQ sauce on a piece of brisket, and the Brunswick Stew has tomatoes, corn, and onions - all the veggies I'll ever need! Seriously though, every other BBQ restaurant I go to makes me wish I had just gone to Creekside instead - you won't find better, I guarantee!

This was a great treat on a nice warm day in February. Several of us had brisket and thought it was excellent. One ordered ribs and got a most fantastic looking rack. This place got…read morethe 3rd try and was still in my mind some of the best BBQ I'd had in the area - so I wrote my previous review. Well, after try number 12 or so, I've got a bit more to say on the subject. If you read my previous review it's accurate about 3 out of 5 trips. There are a couple trips where the meat isn't his typical cut, like maybe a whole different source.... or he has the right meat and pulls the meat out to early. In my mind, you don't substitute, period. Once he told me the ribs would be slightly underdone and then got mad at me when they weren't edible AT ALL. Another time, he was to pull the meats off the grill after hours to give to me, then totally forgot about me. On Several occasions, it hasn't lived up to the 5 star I originally gave it and would actually have come in at a 2 star. On way more occasions than I can count, he has been out of at least a few primary items, if not most of them - early in the day. In addition to this, the owner is just not a pleasurable person. I appreciate when a place takes pride in its work and realizes that customer service is 50% of a business, whatever that business may be, if not sometimes 100%. He just doesn't seem to get that. After seeing what happened with Iama C. in his review, it really doesn't surprise me at all, and I wanted to make sure I came back and addressed the consistency/personnel issues in another review. Since making this final discovery about 3 months ago I haven't been back. It will be a while more before I go back. Realize that if you go here, you might get the 5 star experience, or you might get the 2 star experience. I hope it's the prior!

You order at the counter and they prepare your food as you are on the other side of the glass. There is one person that does the meat and then the tray gets passed to the next person who gets your sides for you. Then you move to the register where you give your drink order and pay your tab. You are given the option to pay with a card or get a discount for cash. You get your drinks and find a table. As busy as they were, we wondered if we would be able to find a table. There were plenty of they also have some tables outside but it was super hot. I had the pulled pork plate and my son and husband both had the chopped brisket. The pork was good but the brisket was amazing. Brisket is amazing when done right and this was done very right. Full of flavor and moist and juicy. AMAZING. You have three different sauces you can try. They are at the tables. Hot, regular and mustard based. All had great flavor and the hot wasn't real hot. As sides we had the Brunswick stew, Mac and Cheese and cheesy hash browns. The Brunswick stew is less chunky and more fine. The flavor was good. The Mac and cheese was very creamy in a white cheese sauce. It was really good. The hash browns were full of flavor. I would definitely order the Mac and cheese and hashbrowns again but probably would skip the Brunswick stew. Not that it wasn't good. I would just try other menu items first. Just FYI. No alcohol. But you're coming here for the food. You won't even miss having an adult beverage. The tea is freshly brewed and all you need. All three of us left stuffed. I took half of my meal home with me. They definitely give you plenty to eat. We shared a banana pudding at the end because my son wanted to try it. It was very rich and creamy. Not sure if it is available every day because the menu just offers a dessert of the day. Two of us shared it and there was plenty to share. Of course, this was after we each had already eaten our dinners. And we're already stuffed. But the person at the table behind us was raving about how good it was so we couldn't resist. The employees were friendly and they kept the line moving. There were two kind ladies out in the dining area refilling drinks and making sure tables were cleaned as soon as people left. This is the kind of food you dream about after you've been there. So very good. We will definitely be back soon.
