I brought my son here (hungry college boy) - he was itching to try it, so why not? I was disappointed that you couldn't really substitute any sides. That limits you (or racks up your bill). The chicken was hot - just some slight seasoning, I think, in the breading. Frankly, it was too hot to taste! The BBQ was decent, and I enjoyed the garlic parm sauce as well. It felt a bit pricey for what we got, but it was filling. $14 for 6 tenders - add another $5 to make it a combo. You're talking $20 for a solid meal... It's my first time here and I ordered a garden salad with croutons and cheese, a #2 chicken deluxe no combo, and a side of Mac and cheese. I got all the way home just to realize that I did not receive my chicken sandwich, nor did I receive croutons on my salad or salad dressing for the salad. This being my first time at this establishment and it was not a good first impression. I am really disappointed in the lack of accuracy that was placed on my simple order. After a long work day, I just wanted to get home and enjoy a good meal. Now I'm being inconvenienced by having to go all the way back just for the employees to fix my order. I did try to call them regarding my order but the number is just a disconnected number. I don't think I'll be returning to this place for quite sometime, if at all. This place pleasantly surprised me. On a whim I decided to get take out and I wanted a chicken sandwich. I ended up ordering a chicken sandwich, wings and jalapeño poppers. I ordered food from uber eats and it took over an hour and a half to receive. It wasn't the carriers fault though, because they told me they were yelled at for asking for the order and yelled at again that my order wasn't ready, even though it was. My food came cold and soggy. The onion rings I got were practically inedible. However the mad bowl was actually good, i got it with the honey garlic sauce and the boneless wings were fine. Wow! I loved Mad Chicken. The chicken tenders were amazing ... they were perfectly "tender" -- get it ? I also tried their Chicken burger/sandwich and that was quite appetizing as well. I usually order the chicken tenders and love them a lot but ordering the chicken sandwich was a good call. Their menu is chicken specific and is great if you are a chicken lover. Having said that, it is not just chicken that they serve.. they have mac n cheese and various sauces that go with the chicken. I have always ordered DoorDash or did pick up from here and food is always fresh here. We have had instances where they didn't give us some sauces we ordered and since it was late night we didn't ask them to redeliver or anything. I have had good luck with the food when I eat at the restaurant. I typically get the spicy garlic Parmesan nuggets and waffle fries. My only real gripe is that they have these really really cheap utensils in packets. They are so cheap that they never work stabbing a nugget. Really. Delicious. Large serving size. Good price. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it took just over 15 min for food and the drink options seemed limited. (Roughly 8 options). The Mad sandwich was phenomenal and well worth the money. I had ordered a buffalo wrap as-well however I needed a to go box for that. Reheated the wrap was also amazing. The tenders have a great crispiness to them and the inclusion of slaw, sauce and pickles on the sandwich brought it all together. Great experience, small location with about 6 table spaces. Mad Chicken looks appetizing and has quite A big menu and if it's made fresh it isn't that bad. I've been to mad chicken if I'm tired and don't want to cook at home and the couple times I tried it wasn't good, the one time it tasted fresh I did think it was good but that was 1 out of the 4 times. If you did want to try mad chicken I would skip the sandwiches and go for the tender combos the most buck for your money. The 6 piece will be more than enough whenever I get the 8 I always have A couple pieces left, the combo boxes also come with pretty decent waffle fries! The wings here are really dry not else much to say about them, drenching them in sauce doesn't help speaking about the sauces they are nothing special, The Mad sauce they talk up so much I am pretty sure is just ketchup and mayo maybe adding celery salt and A pinch of paprika if they get that creative, all the other sauces are just the mad sauce and adding a ingredient like hot sauce. Lastly the employees here aren't the nicest it seems like they are trying to take your order as fast as they can do they can do anything else. Mad chicken has one good thing going for it and it's their fried foods the onion rings, fried Oreos, waffle fries all taste good! But other than that 75 cents for a two ounce cup of subpar sauce and not being able to order ahead really takes away from me wanting to eat here. *delivery review* I have only tried this place through delivery during the coronavirus shutdown. We ordered Mac, tenders, fries, wings, and a mad fire sandwich. I wanted to love this place SO BAD, and while it was decent...I don't know that it's worth the price. Our order was over $50 and that's with free delivery. The sandwich is $12 with no sides or anything. So price wise, definitely overpriced in my opinion. Now onto the food: Tenders: the tenders were over cooked. We did like the seasoning but the chicken itself was hard and rubbery instead of juicy. We did like the garlic sauce though. Wings: we ordered the boneless wings in mad sauce. The order showed up with the wings laying in a pool of sauce, not even spun. While the chicken was good and the sauce was good, the packaging was abysmal. The combo didn't work for me, as the sauce seemed like more of a sandwich sauce as opposed to a stand-alone, my boyfriend really enjoyed it. Mac & Cheese: your generic cafeteria Mac and cheese. Not super flavorful but got the job done. I'd get it again, but I also like generic cafeteria Mac sooooo Waffle fries: the absolute worst part of the meal. Again a packaging disaster. The fries showed up so soggy, they were essentially cold, wet, mush. No seasoning on the fries either so they were super bland. We got sweet and spicy bbq sauce which was the savior. Finally, the sandwich: this was definitely the best part. The only entree that we felt really came together. We'd order the sandwich as an entree again before trying the chicken on its own. The tenders worked when they were accompanied with the sauces and juicer bread. Overall, it was average. We will likely try it again, probably after the virus shutdown is over since it felt like packaging was also one of their major problems. I overheard a little boy say that the macaroni was really good,he was also like 5 soooo I don't know if his opinion can be trusted (lol). The restaurant was clean and well managed. Staff wasn't super friendly but they weren't rude either. I dined in, the tables were extremely wobbly and I don't think there's a public restroom. I took my food to go for a 30 minute drive and the flavorful chicken and big waffle fries were still hot and crispy when I got home. The sauces are delicious. I'm a ranch person but the Mad Chicken sauce is my new favorite. Also-- the fried Oreos are outstanding, like hot fresh made donuts with Oreos in the middle. Mad chicken has been one of my favorite chicken spots in Milwaukee. I usually go to the other location, but was closer to this location today. I ordered my usual and discovered that the complete order was wrong once I got home. I called and asked for the manager. When he got on the phone and heard the issue, he told me he would look into it and call back. He never called back and never offered to fix the issue. I won't be coming back to this location, but will be eating at the other location in the future. My recommendation: Drive the extra couple of minutes to the other location! read more

Placed an online order at the wrong Mad Chicken in Milwaukee. My friend and I walk in, tell them the name etc, and they say "it's not ready yet", so we assume they're obviously making it. More people walk in and get their orders before us, so something seems off. 20 minutes go by and they tell us they don't have us in the system (because it's at the other place).
