I ordered from this place (which I hesitate to call a restaurant) through Uber Eats. Apparently there were salad and/or chicken ingredients that were rotten and I was sick for 3 DAYS -- yes, I'm talking grossness coming out of me for 3 DAYS! Today was my first time trying Mad Chicken--and honestly, the name fits. I'm not sure if the chicken was mad or the cook was mad, but something was off. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich combo and also the four-piece chicken tender combo. My husband ate the grilled chicken sandwich and said the chicken itself was good. Unfortunately, the waffle fries were very stale and rubbery. The hot chicken tenders were fried in a batter that tasted like it had cornmeal in it, which made the coating very hard. When you bit into the chicken, the meat itself was rubbery. My waffle fries were rubbery as well. The overall flavor was okay, but the texture really missed the mark. On a positive note, the staff was amazing--friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a cool, hip vibe. I'd say it's still worth trying for yourself. Mad Chicken is exactly what the name says. . . It's MAD! The chicken is amazingly flavored and the options they have are wildly more creative than Chick Fil-A or Raisin Canes. The prices are about the same too if not a little more. We realized when entering how many locations there are nation-wide, but I had only ever seen this location before. I'm glad I gave it a try on a night we were hungry. The service is pretty solid, they are a little slow, but I guess it's cause it's not supposed to be "fast food" and then the ambiance was good too. It was very cleanly inside the restaurant. I have no complaints, going to give Mad Chicken a 4/5 stars. read more

RE: Dishes: - The best dish I had was definitely the Mad & Cheese - the way the cheese combines with the fried chicken and sweet, tangy BBQ sauce was a flavor adventure for the ages. Their fried chicken sandwich and fried oreoes were also very good. - I liked the idea of the Mad Fries - as I love waffle fries - but I suppose you need to get them fresh, as the fries were not crispy or packing any flavor profile that met the moment. - The wings were also mid but Mad Chicken is still a north star with the amount of sauces and taste of those sauces that can more than make-up for it! I wish I had been able to try the tenders but they forgot that in my order. RE: Service - I don't know enough to say with confidence as I placed an online order for pick-up but pretty standard over-the-counter fast food interaction. I appreciated that they verified it was me and made me show the phone; but a little more customer service would have been nice. I went to Mad Chicken for some late night munchies & I was pretty impressed. I was happy that they opened a location here in Hollywood and that they are open until 2am everyday. This location has a cool, edgy, & clean vibe. The staff was super helpful on explaining the menu to me since I had never ordered with them. Store is clean. Got quick service. I got the Mac and cheese bowl with hot buffalo sauce. Mac is a creamy kind of easy Mac-like situation. I've seen this up and coming franchise is trade magazines for a little while. I was excited to see one on Federal Highway/US1 just North of Aventura.. it's a Black and Red Building with their colorful chicken logo on the outside. The color motif continues on the inside with the chicken logo everywhere. It's a little dark inside it could use more light. The menu is bright and broken down into Sandwiches, Wings (boneless/traditional) and Tenders. They also offer sides like Rice, Mac and Cheese, Tater Tot Bowls. I've been here a couple of times. And had the tenders both times I had the tenders. They're actually tenders and they are tender. The tenders are big and cooked to perfection. They have a little cornmeal in the breading which is a nice change of pace. The cornmeal in the beading is common in my neck of the woods. There are no substitutions. You can't swap waffle fries for tots. The sauces are good but they are ice cold. I hope it's because they are not made with preservatives and not a lack of product management. read more

I ordered while traveling to Ft Laud New Years Eve! It was easy to order and was delivered within the time frame they promised online, the driver got a little lost but no big deal. I chose the sweet spicy wings with Mad dipping sauce. They were very flavorful and the sweet and spicy was well balanced. The Fries was cold so I only ate a few of them but I can tell they would be great if hot, I give them some grace because I ordered delivery and kind of hard to get hot fries delivered. So my hubby and I went to go pick up some late night munchies and we've heard about this place so we figured we would try it out when you walk in. It looks like a fast food joint, but I thought the name was cute. We decided to order it to go We got so much stuff I got the mad tator bowl my hubby got the chicken wings which were phenomenal and all the sauces to choose from where delicious We got several sides, fried pickles , fried jalapeno poppers , fried cheese curds which were my favorite ! And Mac n cheese and waffle fries The cashier was absolutely nice. She helped us with all of our questions since we had not been there before and she was very helpful with the sauces. My friend had chicken and waffles. Something to avoid. Two tenders on a normal sized waffle. No butter or syrup offered. You have to asked for it. And it was expensive. The sandwich combo was nearly $15. The breading on the chicken is cooked very dark. No flavor there either. If you have a choice of chicken places, go elsewhere for something exciting. read more

Sadly I was so anxious to try this place out, and what a disappointment horrendous. Service was ok but I will be short and simple, Food over fried, burnt, old unchanged oil nothing was golden fried at all and the smell of old oil was there up and close. Food over priced. Pass this chicken place on my way home from work every day and finally decided to give it a try. It was really good and I am happy we came here. It was an upgrade from Chick-fil-A or Shake Shack. Everything here is made to order and fresh and delicious the interior was clean and nicely decoratedservice was attentive you walk up place your order and then they call your name for your tray. The employees are really hit or miss... Sometimes you'll walk in, and be greeted, others they'll act like you're not even standing there. The tenders are amazing, but not for the price.
