Usually the experience is always so pleasant here, but today really ruined it for me. My mom went to the 2nd floor to exchange a sweater that she ordered online. The girl was very helpful and informed my mom that two different colors were in the store and were on the 1st floor. She then told us that a worker down there will help us find it as well. We go down and my mom shows the worker the paper will the order on it. The worker got quickly irritated as she said that it wasn't in this store and my mom just simply said that the employee upstairs told us it was down here and to ask for help. She kept getting angrier and then told my mom "hand me the paper and I'll show you what this system is showing me honey". I got rather upset because she continued to get angry and my mom isn't a type of person to cause issues anywhere in public areas. I stepped it and told her that that's what we were told there was NO reason for her to constantly get upset with my mom. This went on for more than 10 minutes. I luckily caught her name, Elizabeth. Wears glasses and looks a bit old. I hope she doesn't disrespect any other customer because it hurt me to see her act like that. Took a lot in me to not say a few choice words. read more

Sandra was amazing today. Walked in for the 48 hour sale unfortunately they did not have the size that I wanted (cal king) however Sandra took the item and looked to see if we can they have it in stock. They didn't she informed me I can have one shipped 3-5 days. Unfortunately with Macy's I haven't had he best of luck having items shipped on time. She informed me I can try to find another location and have them save one for you. She contacted the Stockton Macy's for me had it put on hold for me, got the persons name she spoke to including my name, and also made sure that my additional coupons can be used before I drive all the way there. Seriously Macy's: No one available to ring customers up?? Several of us were downstairs in the home area. Not one single employee ready to ring anyone up. There were several salespeople in furniture not doing anything; the wedding guy, who was helping someone, apparently called the manager to get some cashiers. But after waiting and waiting, still no one came. Several of us went upstairs and were able to finally get some help up there. Pretty sad when you're trying to make money and you refuse to have people available to help you make that money. Took my wife to the makeup department and the gal by the name of lexi made her look beautiful, more beautiful than she already is. She was a the cosmetologist at the Bare Minerals makeup counter. While I was waiting I went to the origins skin Department and got some movie star material super spot remover acne treatment, and no puffery roll-on applicator 4 my eyes. I feel great but no bags and no Puffs under my eyes and my wife turned out learning some great things and getting some great colors for her face. I am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt but after you blow it and you don't take responsibility,I am done with you. When a person purchases an item,that person should be contacted regarding anything related to that item,not someone related to that person.I then asked her why I wasn't being contacted and her reply was,"well that's the number I have on file".Instead of apologizing and correcting the mistake she proceeds to ask me "where you there when you purchased the item". I found it very appalling that she would not take ownership and correct the issue and instead made it seem like it was my fault that she made a mistake. I was really excited when about six ago I purchased my California King Charter Club Damask 550 thread count Supima sheets. Took them home and followed the care instructions. The sheets felt really nice and provided a great nights sleep. About three months after my purchase the corners started to show stress marks and little tears started to show, which was disappointing, but something I could live with. Now today I was taking the bedding off and the material in the material in the middle of the bed started to tear apart. One thing I'm happy about is I didn't pay the list price of $200. I could of bought my sheets anywhere but I thought buying them at Macy's I would be buying a quality product, I guess that isn't a thing these days, even with the higher end stores. read more

This has been one of my favorite stores to shop. Unfortunately I have had a few encounters with the same rude retail clerk that works in the Petite section. I stand in line and hope I don't get her and due to bad timing I get stuck with her. I write this review because of my latest encounter with Elizabeth. I hand her my return and she sighs, rolls her eyes and says there's another area to return items. But that she'll return my items this time. I feel embarrassed as she scolds me in front of other customers. I complete my transaction and continue shopping. I spend 3 hours shopping. I complete another purchase in another department and state my experience with the previous clerk with the new clerk assisting me. This clerk looks at my receipt and confirms the person I was describing. She suggests that I complain to the manager. This will be my next step once I return to the store. Although Macy's has the latest styles and brands I am fond of I will not hesitate to take my business elsewhere. There is absolutely no excuse for rude customer service especially when there are so many other convenient and pleasant options available to consumers. read more

I don't like the Stockton Macy's just because of the location so I normally go to the one in Modesto. Nevertheless, always disappointed. Macy's managers in Women's are NEVER NEVER NEVER to be found. They remodeled so everything is switched around and whenever I ask for directions somewhere I always come into contact with rude associates, and there's always only one register available for purchasing and can't go anywhere else because everything in there is leased. ANNOYING. Avoid on weekends especially now with COVID the lines are always wrapped around with nobody working. Okay? I didn't know this was the new Walmart. Need help? Won't get it. This Macy's has been down bad for a while now and I don't know why I keep expecting more. My advice, go to Pleasanton. Way nicer location, and at least you'll have people to help you. IM BEYOND PI$$ED OFF!! CALLING CORPORATE NEEDLESS TO SAY AND WILL NAME NAMES!!! Let me tell you my experience at Macy's Men's Cologne section and how i was tricked and lied to into getting a credit card with these shady shady people! It was a few days before Xmas 2012, and i was picking out a cologne set for my boyfriend. The elderly ladies were very helpful and nice but then came this one younger looking women (hispanic i believe) who looked like she dyed her eye brows on her face and was wearing a black lacy beanie on her head. In my anger during the whole ordeal i forgot to get her name. When i go back and find her name im calling corporate to complain. ANYWAYS she rings me up, i hand her my credit card- she asks for i.d- i give her my i.d- THEN ---she pauses looks at me and asks "do you want to sign up for a macy's credit card you'll save 20% off your entire purchase today." I look at my step dad and he informs me thats a 14 dollar savings. I tell her i want to immediately pay it off when we are done with this purchase though and the only form of payment i have on hand (that day) was my credit card i just handed her. I ask her is it ok to pay that credit card payment off with a credit card because i know most companies want either cash or debit, she looks at my credit card looks at me and says yes. Tells me i can pay off my Macy's card with that credit card i handed her. I was feeling a little "too good to be true moment," and repeated pointing to my card she still had in her hand "i can make a payment with THAT credit card?" She repeats "yes". OKAY LETS DO IT! call me naive, i dont own but 1 credit card. Fashion Bug did this once too and i was able to immediately pay it off with a credit card, so i was aware some companies let you pay one credit card off with another, but not alot. So i was happy to be told by a Macy's employee that Macy's allows this. After she signs me up and charges me on my new macy's card (which is STILL somewhere in the mail on the way). She asks if theres anything else she can do to help me. I thought she was joking with me trying to get rid of me knowing im about to try to pay that card off right away so i say jokingly back to her "oh no id like to pay off my macys card please." handing her back my card she tried to give back to me. She looks at my credit card ONCE MORE, and says "OH im sorry...you can only make credit card payments through debit or cash. Do you have another card?" "NOOOOOO..... i told you just a second ago i only have my credit card with me, and you told me TWICE that i could make a payment with my credit card....twice! you told me. Twice!" "OH well you can only make a payment with debit or cash." "Why did you tell me then i could make a payment with my credit card!?" "You can wait for your card to come in the mail and make a payment with debit or cash, its on the way." ".....can i speak to your manager?" She huffs annoyingly i kid you not, and retrieves a lady who was even less helpful and disappears as quickly as she could. i had been HAD! What a scam! The whole point was to come home without another card to make payments on. Needless to say im not happy being lied to by some teenage looking liar trying to scam me into signing up for a card for kick backs! Im bothered that the manager didnt care what so ever that she had lied to me and scammed me. They just wanted me to leave so they could deal with the christmas rush. I felt like my business was worthless to these people, im not some poor trashy modesto person trying to get out of paying a credit card! What the hell!? How is this ok!? Im pissed off! In all the years i have shopped at macy's and spent all that money there i will NO LONGER shop at this location ever again and really am thinking of never shopping with Macy's all together.
