1/31/26 In the market for a quality mattress for our aching backs (heck, our entire body). Amazingly great selection at this Macy's in Lakewood Center mall, plus it closes at 9 pm on a Saturday while the one in Cerritos mall closes at 8 pm. A sales clerk, Jay, was helpful in giving us the rundown of what they offer, forthcoming with answers. Btw, there was no sales clerk at Cerritos when we visited. Delivery is free (I should've asked what the cut off or limit is) BUT it could take up to 7 days! Whoa! Good to know. King sized sets ranged from roughly $1000-2000 (free box spring, I sure hope so, I thought it automatically comes with it.). That's the sale price. That's your basic set, if you're looking for the bells & whistles, for instance, the motor for adjustable beds, that could run you another $1000. If it's 2 things a person MUST have, comfortable shoes & really good bed/mattress. Be good to yourself, you only have one life to live, these you must have. The sticker prices are a shock to your system but to have painful feet & body- is a M@T#€r&Uck3R lol. Our choices are pretty much narrowed down to the Sealy, firm with pillow top. But will continue to shop around. We're running out of time do we gotta hurry up. This Macy's was good stop. read more

So I was standing in line, decided to look for another checkout. There's one in the shoe department but there were several folks waiting for shoes and I only saw one salesperson on the floor. I went back to only other checkout and the line was shortened by one. This floor was crowded with shoppers just folks waiting in line. I kept glancing at my items and wondering if I really needed them. I put back one item and because I had some descent clearance items, I was not parting with them. Anyway, that's the challenges in shoppingespecially when you don't feel well and standing was becoming chore. It only gets tiring when you can't move forward quick enough. if I wasn't annoyed at the lack of registers opened, I probably would've bought more. read more

Stopped by to pick up from online ordered. 1st time here so it was easy parking finding from their big parking lot. Festive holiday decorations and plenty of sales. Nice and friendly service form staffs. Great value for majority of stuffs and items selection of choices. Clean, spacious, and bridge store with several levels of shop. read more

I hadn't gone to this Macy for a while as it seemed to be going downhill. Received a $10 off coupon in the mail so decided to stop by. They seem to be improving the displays and the overall display. They had more people working downstairs than upstairs. Good to see they are making efforts to spruce this place up & hopefully stay open despite the economic difficulties the company may be facing (heard rumors some Macy's may be closing). For the coupon I received, I purchased a pajama set which was originally $65, was on sale for 60% off, after my coupon, I only had to pay $17 & some cents. The sales clerk was a bit rude & not very professional. The sales person next to her interjected & helped out. But the first sales clerk didn't seem to get why the other sales person interjected & continued to speak in an unprofessional manner. I just paid and left but how an employee behaves leaves an impression on the customer's mind. read more

I had ZERO intentions coming through. I was even in a state of wonderment that there's a Macy's here considering a lot of them have shut down. I came through this mall with my Mom for a whole different purpose. We parted for a few minutes to do my thing while she stayed around the general Macy's area to browse. On my way to meet her back, she mentioned Macy's is having a huge sale on purses. "In case you were interested to buy as presents or to giveaway." My curiosity got the best of me, so I decided to take a look. And boy, was she on point. Even the designer ones were priced well - almost down to outlet prices. But I wasn't there for those, but rather something reasonably priced to give away. So, I looked through their sale areas and found 5 at $25 and under. 4 of them were the same purse in different colors. One of them $5 less than the rest. SUPER SCORE! Mom picked out what she wanted (6 purses on my hand at this point) and so we headed to the cashier. I was helped by Candy. I noticed that when she rang my stuff up, the 4 similar purses' prices were coming out wrong - they were going for twice the sale price. I inquired about it, and she spoke to her supervisor, Olga for verification. Olga, being as cool as she was, said, "Meh, price them all with the lowest tagged price." What?!? How generous is that!!! I walked outta there feeling like a bandit! But alas, my mistake was not checking the receipt before walking out. Candy didn't give me the same price for all purses. Don't get me wrong, it was still a good buy, just without the additional discount. (And that could have been the 4th star.) But I got a bargain, regardless. What a sad commentary on what used to be a very popular department store. There seemed to be the most sparse number of salespeople present, that I had to ask other customers where to find what I needed. I see why discount shops are very busy too, prices here are about double for clothing and the quality is not much different. In fact some of the department stores brand can be found with deep discounts elsewhere. I paid extra for express shipping from the online store, but received the packages in staggered times, and I pretty much much lost interest in them , I'll be doing in store returns this week. read more

Close this place down!!! There is a mess everywhere. No staff to clean up and organize. Rude and unprofessional staff in fragrances. Women's floor is horrible and messy. I was buying a gift for my mom and the red haired cashier was very rude! She tried to force me to apply for the store card after multiple times of me saying no she got an attitude. Her tone changed completely after I said no to the card. I will not be coming back!!!! Macys has lost its way! The women on the second floor degrade their customers and they talk about them in a very inappropriate way!! read more

My issue is with Macy's online shopping and not service at any particular store. I saw a dress and jacket online and ordered it. I got the dress only. I called the Chat number and reported the problem, that I didnt have the jacket. They apologized and said they would send me a return label, which they did and I mailed it back. They mailed me another package which turned out to be the same dress. I spoke to someone a second time and was told to send the dress back. I said I would not and that I only need the jacket. They sent me a third package which was another blue dress. Today, 12 /3/25 I took both dresses back to Macy's in Lakewood. The customer service lady, Rachel was very helpful going thru a maze of purchases, returns, refunds, etc. Macy's advertisement was very misleading in that they show a a dress and jacket, but I guess they are separates. It was very frustrating and I took the 3 dresses back. If they were separates, why did anyone in customer service state this and tell me the were sold separately. Apparently. this has happened before as there was another Yelp review with the same situation. I'm hesitant to buy online again. read more

I'm leaving this store a sad 1 star for many reasons. First the store is not too big so selections are varied. Second they are very understaffed! I couldn't find anyone to help me. I walked around looking very for a dress and sadly I couldn't find anything I liked. The mess at this store is way out of control! Every department had clothes on the floor, clothes cluttered everywhere!!! Racks of go backs were lined up that no one has put back! Every department needs to be organized. I personally felt very overwhelmed and had anxiety looking at all of it! I also went to the shoe department and asked a young girl for a show. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I understand she's probably overwhelmed as well however that's unacceptable! I went to another Macys and it was so much cleaner and great service. Management needs to step up and get it together! This review is based on online ordering and curbside pick-up. I love the convenience and ease of curbside. You will bring me my order and put it in my trunk, while I sit in my car in my pajamas! A Macy's building? Depressing lyrics, but it's actually a really fantastic song, written by Zevon himself. So I went to pick up (4/12/19) a watch I ordered for my mom's birthday. The order pick up was a bit of a slap in the face. My email said to pick it up at the Fine Jewelry Department which is *right next* to the online order pick-up area. Okay, well a lady at the front entrance told me to go here. So which is it? As soon as I checked in there, an employee printed up a receipt (after I showed her my email and driver's license) and told me it's ready at the fine jewelry department. Good gosh. Okay. I waited yet again at a different line at the counter not knowing exactly where to stand. There was a clipboard nearby to sign in. What? Why? I just waited. Two female employees walked in front of me without acknowledging me let alone even looking me in the eyes. Finally, I get one to assist me. Handed her the receipt and had to show her my driver's license. Again. I had already told her that I wanted to look at the watch before I left and I needed a gift receipt for it. She was nice, but didn't realize that the receipt she handed me was the actual gift receipt I had requested. I just wanted to make sure was all, but she stated she had never issued one out to anyone. While I was waiting, I checked out the hot mess of fine jewelry counters. It wasn't just one section in disarray with rings upside down and necklace chains not straightened, but almost every single display behind the glass. And display holders lookin' worn out and price tags not readable... Place was dirty too... not very fun vibes when you're shopping for the only mom you got in this world. Zevon was dying of cancer (mesothelioma, I believe) when he recorded the aforementioned song along with "Keep Me in Your Heart." I did a store pick up and got judged and made fun of by the lady at the mens cologne department. We made eye contact and she didnt even acknowledge me and didnt offer me whatever cologne she was selling. When i passed her i hear her laughing with one of her colleagues and saying "maybe not". I just got out of the gym and wasnt planning on impressing anybody,but to be judged and laughed at was very disrespectful. read more

I have always considered Macy's to be one of the nicer, classier department stores in the area. When I needed something nice to wear I would go into the mens clothing department and always find something to purchase. I went in on Thursday 6/22/23 and saw how mishandled and sad this store has become. It looked like a swap meet/garage sale in the store. Merchandise on roller racks everywhere, no organization , stuff mixed with other stuff. It gave me a headache. I realize that stores such as these are losing out financially to on line businesses but at least try to look like you care. read more

I'll give 5 stars to the associate Nancy who works on the second floor cash register near the pajamas/shape wear area. She is a sweet older lady so be patient when going to her to check out! The low rating is for me currently being put on hold for almost 40 minutes now and going. Trying to get ahold of someone for them to put in a claim so that they can help pay a portion of my stepmom's medical bill like they told her they would. She was injured at this location on 8/26. It's now December, almost January in fact and we are just finding out that they have not put in a claim yet! Update: I stayed on hold for an hour, hung up and called again. I forget the guy's name because their phone sounds like they've put you on speaker so you could hardly hear them! Aside from the wait, what's really ridiculous is that my stepmom has to go in this week to Macy's to speak with a manager because apparently NO ONE wrote down the incident of her falling down the escalator on August 26, 2020 when it was THEIR employee who called 911! An ambulance came there to take her to Lakewood Regional! She injured her right hip and had a laceration on her right big toe. You guys are straight trash!! read more

There was only one dressing room area open with a line to get a room. The entrance and the rooms had racks and piles of clothes that had been tried on and left. Most Macy's seem to be hit or miss on customer service which is why I prefer to shop online. However I am a card holder and wanted to look for some hosiery. The escalator up didn't work but walking through the first floor no one acknowledged me. As I took the elevator up, I looked and couldn't find what I needed and two salespeople saw me and didn't speak. That tells me my money isn't needed so I left. It's. Okay, so I went back for the first tine since and was on the first floor makeup area and second floor in the shoe department and athletic. Not one staff member spoke to me again. Started to leave but then saw a sign for backstage which is in the basement. Different vibe. Friendly salesperson who was a guy with glasses. If I were to come back, I'd only go to the basement area. Sharron from the second floor was real rude, got aggressive and started yelling at me & my family because it was 9:05 and store closed at 9, yeah I understand it's close but no employee should talk to a customer in a horrible disrespectful way. I went to lakewood Macy to grab some fathers day gift...I tried to buy two pairs of sleepers ...I waited 20 min..then I finally had to go look for help...then when I did get some help from a man named Michael he told me to get in line...then I told him just to get a size for shoes...and he said if you are customer then you need to get in line very rudely so I tossed the shoe on a clothes rack ..I really recommend no one to shop at this location..I used to buy most of my colognes there but will definitely take my business elsewhere. read more

Being from the East Coast and my 1st credit card back in 1979 was Macy's. I am thoroughly disgusted with this store.I was there Sunday morning 10 minutes after they opened to shop for a suit.The men's department looked like Walmart at 10 PM on black Friday. . The fragrance section is a nightmare, no customer service help...everyone was rounded up in different corners chatting and laughing. My mom literally had to go ask help because everyone was so much more concerned about their conversations and leaving. This is like 2 reviews in one. On a previous day we went to buy shoes and clothes for my youngest daughter. We went to get help from the associates there and although their section was not busy the acted like they didn't want to bother with me. As we asked for sizes she was very rude and impatient. I would tell you her name but she wasn't wearing a name tag. We asked her name and it was Katherine. When we went to ask for another style we tried to ask the other associate Who had a name tag Grace she just looked at me because she was busy doing something else ( not helping another person). When we finally found shoes my daughter liked we just wanted to check out elsewhere. We went to another check out which had a long line and only 1 checker. She called for assistance and it came way later. The checker was tied up trying to find an item with a sku she couldn't find. Finally some else came and helped us out. She was really good and polite however we were so frustrated that we forgot her name. Fast forward to yesterday. Dreading we need more school shopping for my son now. We headed this time to athletic shoes for kids. We were assisted by Flor. Now this was an amazing associate she helped my wife and I with a smile every time. My wife even sparked up casual conversation about where our oldest daughter and her go to the same college.
