Yikes cashier at Inc petite dept named Debbie is super annoyed I returned pants inside ouy'wow

I love coming to this location because while it's a little run-down they have a lot of stock (unlike UTC which is a joke) and helpful employees (though not enough of them as the lines can get brutal at times). The girls are the Benefit counter are great. Cannot recommend their brow waxing services enough. read more

I would avoid Macy's in general. I have been a Macy's card member for years and shopped there in an attempt to preserve local jobs (as opposed to shopping online). My issue started with Macy's when my wife used my card December 2016 to purchase several things as gifts, using the card for a discount. She forgot to tell me and due to a KNOWN billing issue that Macy's is AWARE of (I have an email explaining it that I would be happy to show), I never received any bill of any kind. Instead, I received delinquency calls several months later. Shocked, I paid the bill quickly over the phone after she informed me that she forgot to tell me about the bill. As said above, no emails or letters were received by Macy's at this time due to the known billing error that they informed me of after the fact. I then contacted Macy's about the issue and wished that they extended my credit line back to the original amount and removed the mark from my credit score. After nine (9) months of calling, and getting a constant run around with their terrible customer service, and multiple complaints via their website, I was informed that they had implemented a new system during that time that caused known issues but that they were not responsible. Since I paid my bill and did not dispute it, they would not remove the delinquency due to "internal policies." This must be the worst customer service EVER. I have been a credit card member of theirs for years and always paid my bills on-time and in full. This sort of service is exactly why they are losing customers every year to Amazon and online services. They cannot compete and it shows. I will never shop here again and will tell anyone and everyone who will listen just how poorly they treat loyal customers. read more

Will not shop in this store unless absolutely necessary. Avoid the cosmetics dept at all costs because they are terribly RUDE! I walked into the cosmetics department to return something. I walk up to the first saleswomen I see, who aren't doing anything but standing there talking to each other. I say hi and tell them I need to return something. Woman goes "for what?" I say "cosmetics..." she says, "for???" I finally catch on that she means "for what brand" so I tell her. Then the OTHER woman says "the Estée Lauder woman is over there." Something clearly crawled up their you-know-whats and died. I'm sorry you hate your jobs or lives so much that you can't even be kind. Macy's you are seriously losing me... should have stopped shopping there YEARS ago anyway. read more

Great service... I was looking through a whole selection of t-shirts and I couldn't find 1 that I liked. However, the same worker asked me if I was doing fine and if I needed help. I then walked over to find a watch, and right when I arrived, a worker was there to help me. I purchased the watch and she really pushed me to apply for a Macy's Visa Card. I said no numerous times, but she kept pushing and added that I would get 15% off. Surprisingly, I was approved and got the 15% discount. I was there on a Thursday morning, so maybe i got personalized service b/c of the lack of busyness compared to the weekends... read more

A few weeks back I had an experience that's rare in today's retail world. I went on a Sunday morning (don't worry mom.. Went to church Saturday night) The store was quiet and I was on a mission in the kitchen department. As I can never seem to keep track of their sales and or coupons I was relieved to see the sale and discount signage still posted. When the clerk rang my order he realized that the discount had ended, and as the signs were still posted I asked to speak to a floor manager. After much searching he found a departmental manager who immediately offered the sale price and a coupon for next time. While I understand it's state law to sell an item as it's priced, this wasn't done begrudgingly. She was quite helpful. In addition the store manager who seemed to be dealing with an escalator issue near the Christmas department (oh the joys of retail) took the time to stop me, ask if all had been resolved to my satisfaction, and let me know he would always be willing to help. Very nice The stores are still a mess, lots of associates still seem pretty clueless and pricing/price changes continue to be overwhelming ... In this instance however, NCF Macy's was great. read more

I LOVE THIS MACY'S!!!! I've only shopped in the cosmetics & gotten my eyebrows done at the benefit brow bar (BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR BROWS DONE), but the employees there are so incredibly nice! Today I had my first makeover by Afrooz (she only works weekends, I highly recommend her! She is AWESOME!!!). She used Clinique products (which is my new favorite makeup!). :) Afrooz was so sweet, I'm so happy I had the privilege of talking to her. The makeover she gave me was exceptional, concealing my redness very nicely. I loved the amazing improvement so much I purchased the majority of what she used. I'm amazed with this makeup it doesn't cake AT ALL, it simply blends into your skin and makes it look so smooth. And the lipstick!!! The lipstick color is on my lips! Basically, this Macy's is the place to go for your beauty and brow needs. :) read more

So I place order online Won't accept the reward cards Call get Erika. Doesn't know what I am talking about. She puts me on hold for 7.45 min then hung up I called back and got Keisha. She was more useful. She found out that you can't use the reward card for more than one item. We tried one item it worked. Then I realized I would not get my discount of 25%. She said yup. She IM'd someone and got it approved to do little discounts to total it. BUT I WOULD PAY SHIPPING. WHICH WAS MORE THAN DISCOUNT. Lol I said nope. Cancel the order we placed Transfers me and I get "hi how can we help" I go thru whole thing and finally get it cancelled. I ask for supervisor...I hear the original voice of Erika. I went crazy. I said I can't believe u are a supervisor. I Hung up on me at 11:50. She swears I am not the same person I talked to you. Ok you have a twin. She swears she can place order. So 1 hour into call she finally says I can't get the card to go thru. No shit. Never never never will I work with Macy's again. read more

I am writing this review to inform other customer's of the policy concerning theft during a delivery by contract trucking businesses. i called to report the theft of a diamond ring. i was told the company doesn't do anything about damages after 3 days. i didn't discover the ring's being missing until I went to wear it. Beware of contract delivery service, especially the white glove promo. No fingerprints can be found on the premises. An extremely bad idea. I recommend shadowing any contract delivery person who enters your home. read more

I purchased a dress and Spanx two days ago when staying in Temecula over the weekend. I went home and took the tag off the Spanx because I was needing a larger size than my current size. I went to put it on and couldn't get it on past my thighs. I assumed it would fit since I can pull on my size medium, but it is a little tight. I was surprised that the large size was even smaller fitting than my medium. This morning I went to the North County Fair location to return the Spanx. I brought in the tag and receipt, and Luna (cashier), refused to return it saying it looked "worn" and the tag wasn't attached. I assured her I hadn't worn it being I couldn't even get it on all the way. She kept refusing to return it. I asked her why as I had the tag and receipt, and she said because it looked "worn". I told her I worked in customer service for years, and have never received such poor customer service. I asked if I could at least receive store credit (even though I should have been given a refund since I had my receipt) and she said no. I told her I will no longer shop at Macy's as they have poor customer service. I would like to think that Macy's has better customer service and that Luna isn't trained properly. Like I told Luna, I will no longer shop at Macy's, and I will make sure I can leave feedback anywhere I can and I will tell everyone I know about my experience and to think twice before shopping at Macy's. read more

I got great service from the lady in the shoe department . I think her name is Frances? She kept a pair of boots that I wanted on hold for me for the day, then when I drove to Temecula to purchase them, she told me she would go in the back room and get them after she checked on another customer. She was quick and she gave me the same price that I paid for my pair that I purchased on line with the wrong color, since I had used my 20% coupon on line. She was pleasant and very helpful. Thank you!! read more

This review is for the jewelry section of Macy's at North County Westfield Mall. I've bought two jewelry items for my fiance at this location over the last two years. The first was a necklace with a diamond pendant. I and she were and still are happy with the necklace. But I was pressured into a Macy's credit card by the manager, which I agreed to only in order to receive a small discount and never intended to use again. When I did come back about a year later to buy an engagement ring, I tried to put it on the credit card, only to discover it had a credit limit of $200.00. Haha...wow. I looked at the fine print at that point and also discovered it had a 25% APR. Ridiculous! After I moved some funds around, I paid for the ring without credit, about $7,000.00 No complaints with the ring, she loved it. It's a great ring and the sales lady was very nice and helpful. Here's where they lost me as a customer for life: I take the ring back in a couple weeks to get re-sized. They say it's going to cost me $60. They're going to charge me $60 for a re-sizing after having just dropped $7,000 on the ring?! Are you serious? I walked right out, down the way to Ben Bridges. Without ever having seen me before, without ever buying or even being interested in buying anything...they said they would charge me only $45 for the re-sizing. I then went on to make my next major jewelry purchase at Ben Bridges and have been a loyal customer there ever since. I've since bought another ring at Ben Bridges, which came with unlimited complimentary re-sizings. It's too bad that their quality retail items and satisfactory face-to-face customer service have been ruined by Macy's extremely poor policies. I will buy another item from Macy's. read more

My fiancee and I went to Macy's to return a Christmas gift this past Sunday. We were thoroughly displeased. Jerry was the one who helped us return our items and was very rude. We initially got in the line with no one at the return counter and Jerry didn't appear until there were at least 5 parties in line. He was very rude to the people in front of us and rolled his eyes several times when customers were confused about the return policy on a pair of pants they had. After saying we'd get store credit, I had to ask to get the card with the credit on it; he seemed put off to have to had me the card with the credit that I was supposed to be given. Even once we left the store later, he was still in a bad mood and being rude to guests. After returning our items, we went to the shoe section, where we found a complete mess. I have never seen a Macy's so trashed. There were boxes of shoes everywhere, empty displays, shoes knocked over, and shoes not with their matches; there were no sales associates to be found anywhere, except two on registers with lines at least 3 parties long. I did, however, keep seeing sales associates look out from the shoe stock room and then turn around and leave as soon as any customer walked in their direction. We had to wait in the check out line in order to ask to try on shoes. We had three pairs, two for me and one for my fiancee. I asked for mine in an 8 1/2 and one was brought out as a 9, while the other was the wrong shoe. My finacee's were fine. At that point, we gave up and were not interested in buying shoes anymore. Then, we went over to the watches to find a wedding gift from me to my fiancee. There was only one lady and the counter, named Kathy. After finishing with the guest before us, she quickly moved on to us and was extremely pleasant and helpful. She wasn't pushy about getting us to purchase and was knowledgeable about the products she was selling. Without having to ask, she gave us warranty information and personal experience knowledge of the products. Kathy was amazing! My only issue with the watches, was that some of the cases looked disheveled and disorganized. After this, we went upstairs where it was slightly less messy and ended up purchasing an ornament that was on after-Christmas clearance. Kathy was the highlight of our experience and the only reason we did not give you a 1/5 star review. read more

Macy's Women's Shoe Dept! The sales lady who helped me was The Best Ever!!! I'm a workaholic, and choose not to waste my hard earned $, nor my time shopping/nor hanging out in Malls. I know my style, I'm not trending.... so I buy accordingly. This was my first time shopping for over 1 year! I took my shopaholic friend with me. Shopping is her sport of choice, so I knew it would be spot on to have her at my side to negotiate the fray. Which worked to my advantage. It was her idea to try Macy's since I couldn't find anything decent in Nordstrom. What happened to Nordstrom..... no style to the clothes, nor shoes. I was prepared to drop $100 on a pair of classic low heeled sling backs, or pumps. Not even close! No decent selection! The customer before me really wore out the patience of the sales associate. She was clearly frustrated. I can tell she had her armor up, and was ready to do battle with me also. Nope! No battle coming from me. I knew exactly what I wanted/needed to purchase + I had several questions re: alternate shoe colors. I could tell she was pleasantly surprised that I knew exactly what I wanted. Don't waste my time..... And surely, I will not waste yours :) I saved $124 off regular pricing. Bought 4 pairs of shoes. Everything was on a juicy sale, + she gave me coupon discounts! Such a Score! 1 pair for a wedding/high end dress-up, 2nd pair upscale/casual for work, 3rd pair sexy-casual-upscale for work & play, & 4th pair is for casual/flirty, anytime wear. I am all set until winter/boot season rolls in. It's Good To be Me :) Kudos to the sales associate who helped me. On the receipt they go by an employee #, vs their name. (Good idea for security reasons). read more

I come to Macy's very often, and today's experience was amazing! I went to look for some running shoes and the employees helping me were super friendly and helpful. I ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes and I am so happy about my purchases. :) Will definitely be coming back for my next pair... Thanks guys! read more

Never have I EVER been in a store where LITERALLY every employee is utterly useless. The store looks like wild dogs have attacked the displays and there are loooonnnngggg ass lines at every register so good luck finding someone to help you. Nobody spoke English either, making my attempt to explain I just wanted to know the price of something (the price checker was down) a lost cause. I ended up flinging my entire pile of clothes on top of a fitness apparel display before walking out. GTFO Macy's!!!! read more

This review is for the online pickup/return desk by the mens dept. the older lady with blonde hair that helped us well I use that term loosely was completely clueless had us waiting 20 minutes while she tried to figure things out, then the "manager" a hispanic man came to "help" and couldn't figure it out either and could care less, not an ounce of service pathetic. It's one thing to be clueless about how to do your job its another to try and pass the blame onto the customer, take responsibility, learn what you are doing and get things done its not that hard, I worked at macys when i was 16 lol. Anyways the jewelry dept. also is terrible with rude unhelpful associates, I mean I try not to shop here sometimes only end up here out of sheer desperation but trying to work on that lol. read more

Always changing their hours! I drove across town and Macy's now changes their hours when they feel like it, and no it does not coordinate with the mall hours!!! I can never find a staff to pay. Always short. They don't smile in your face infact they make you feel uncomfortable.

What's the big deal about Macy's. It just looks like a overpriced JcPennys to me. No one in the entire store asked me if I needed help and it's not like it was crowded, because it wasn't and I understand why. I went in w/my grlfriend who was looking for a dress to where to a wedding, most of the dresses and clothes looked like my grandmother wears it. What's with all the costume jewelery embedded on shirts in there. Most of the jeans had elastic around the waist instead of buttons or zippers, I'm thinking this is for sure a granny store. We left out very quickly refusing to pay $200 for something that I swear I just saw at Sears for half the price. Maybe I should try another Macy's before I judge but this one sucked. read more

Honestly I don't really do negative reviews but I just can't help it. It's really disappointing and upsetting. We asked this lady (her name is Donna), she seemed very nice, accommodating and all but what happened is that we asked her for a specific size of pants because we couldn't find a size on display and she goes to her counter check if they have the size in stock and said they have it, she just need to go to the stock room and get it after she helps another customer that was in line after us. So while we were waiting she helped like a 4 more customers and didn't bother to let us know if she's still gonna get it or not. Then we said we'll just come back for it and went out to other shops. When we came back she still haven't gotten the pair of pants in the stockroom. I guess, when it happens to you you'd be upset too. But still we waited again for her to go get the pants. read more

The service in the store was great. It was the billing that was deceptive. I turned in 2 coats and ordered one of a different size. They were on sale. When I received the bill, there was a hidden $10 charge added. The only way I found it was that the charges weren't adding up right. I called and first talked with Vanessa. I was not satisfied with her answer so I talked with the supervisor, Percy. He said that's what they do...charge $10 for return because it was on sale. I fought with him for several minutes. Finally he removed the $10 Charge. BEWARE: Please watch your bill if you did the same transaction/return that I did. No one at the store said there would be a $10 charge for changes! It didn't make sense in the first place. I wonder how much $ Macy's makes just on all the lame $10 charges. Mary Jane in Bonsall read more

Love the expanse of this store! The swim suit section is a bit of a mess, and by a bit, I mean a tornado has ripped through it... and they don't even have tornadoes here in Southern California. However, the rest of the departments seem pretty well organized and look taken care of. My only issue is in some parts of the store, it doesn't seem like there is enough staff to help with customers. Consistently it has been shoes and cosmetics for me. Don't know why, but I kind of wish they would get it together because on more than one occasion I have left the store without making my purchase because there is no one to help or the line is too long. read more
