Rowena from housewares department is a great employee and very professional.

Saturday was return day...... stopped in around 3pm.......store was crowed as expected. The associates I encountered were pleasant considering the crowds and the discounts. There are plenty of winter clothes available and one would expect additional discounts later due to the warm temperatures. Patience for parking and egress into the mall lot is warranted but shouldn't be considered a deal buster. I you don't mind a walk, park in the garages to the east at the Kenwood Collection. Can't wait for the new stores at the Kenwood Collection open next fall. read more

Great selction, especially of dresses. Prices are decent, even more so if you use the numerous coupons or catch the sales which are always happening. The staff are friendly and seem happy to be there but they are always difficult to find. No one is ever at the check out stands and if you do find someone, there is usually a line of 5 customers because they too, found the only employee available to ring you up. My advice? Go to the perfume counter and have them ring you up there. For whatever reason, they have way too many employees working at perfume and none in the clothing/housewares section. read more

Tried to call Kenwood Macy's, waited for 10 minutes on hold, message kept saying that no one was available in that department, no wonder they are closing stores! Terrible service! read more

Had a terrible experience in the men's suit department. My boyfriend was trying on a suit and we couldn't find anyone to give us advice on the fit. Peter came in the fitting room several times and ignored us and wouldn't even make eye contact. So then I went up to him as he was at the register alone and he completely ignored me AGAIN as I was talking to him. He looked over the top of me and initiated a conversation with someone behind me. I typically hate and detest big department stores. However, I was in desperate need of a winter coat. I was looking for a specific color and style, while searching the coat section a sales representative asked if I needed any help. I informed her of what I was looking for, she then combed through the section presenting me with several options. When our search did not turn up anything that I liked she helped me search other locations that had the coat I sought in stock, and printed information for me to assist me. She was patient and very helpful, I was very impressed. The only complaint I have is that within the coat section it was a little frustrating because the sizes on the hangers were not accurate when compared to the actual sizes of the coats. I continually would get my hopes up, only to be disappointed when I looked at the inside of the coat. Other than that, a great experience. read more

I came across some wine glasses that my husband had given me for a gift- they were too big and I thought he had returned them. I went to Macy's Kenwood today to return the wine glasses and they told me I could not return them because it was over so many days. The clerk was able to locate the purchase on my Macy's card. They had the exact same glasses in stock on the floor but yet they would not return them. I have been a Macy's charge holder for years. I was not even asking for a credit on my account-I would have been happy with an in store credit and would have spent it and probably even bought more than the wine glasses were even worth. Now I won't be shopping with you at all. And maybe your associate at the return counter could have called a manager to help me instead of insulting me with her insincere "Sorry- that is our policy." It is SO HARD to find pants if you are taller than 5'9''. Like, c'mon America!!! Macy's is not exempt. I literally have to get a larger waist to get the length I need in the inseam. The buyer for Macy's sucks! I usually get the leftovers and scour the clearance rack because they just don't order my size. For all the deals and coupons they have you'd think they'd have a selection to match. NOPE! I have had custom tailored suits done here as well as other items but on this last occasion I had a meeting in which I was not dressed for so I shot over to pick something up and wear it off of the rack. I found two $75 shirts for $9.99 each and two pairs of pants on clearance. With my card and the coupons I paid $55. A steal for Macy's. Even the cashier was shocked! I had to go up in the waist and my wife still thought they were a little snug but they worked in a pinch. I just wished they carried larger sizes and by "larger" I don't mean Big & Tall. Truly all about customer service and the shopper experience. This Kenwood, OH location has all the bells and whistles. We came here to register for our wedding registry. The staff was very kind and was able to help us find all of the right houseware, kitchenware, and additional amenities. They even gave us bottled water and cappuccinos to help keep us concentrated during the registry. The overall appearance of this store is organized and laid out beautifully. I finally got a chance to return two Christmas gifts today to Macy's Kenwood. One was a travel-sized umbrella and the other was a pair of pajama pants. I had a receipt for the latter but not for the former, but since the ticket was still attached to the umbrella with a Macy's code, I figured I was good to go to return for store credit. I wanted to buy a purse this evening, so since the umbrella is also an accessory, I decided to return the items in the accessory department. My husband and I have both worked for Macy's in the past, and I know that items can be returned at any counter. I approached two female employees that were chatting behind the counter and accessories and attempted to remove the two gifts from my Kroger bag. Neither wanted to help me whatsoever. First they attempted to tell me that I couldn't return the umbrella without a receipt, but when I showed them the Macy's sticker, one was a little bit more helpful. I asked if I could please return the pajamas, and remember I had a receipt for those, at the same counter so that I could quickly pick out a purse. They both tried to tell my husband and me that I would have to go to the lower level to return the pants in the sleepwear department. This is simply just not true. You can return any item at any counter. You can purchase any item in any counter in Macy's. They make it as simple as possible for the customer. I actually called them on it, and told them that I had worked at Macy's before and that this was not the policy. "Which one?" they asked, and then proceeded to tell us that it was a new policy. Yes, this policy is called I am a lazy, horribly rude person who would rather speak to my friend while getting a paycheck than help my customers return items they have a right to return at any counter. My husband walked one aisle over and returned the pants easily with the help of the a friendly employee. Hence the two stars. Otherwise this would be one star for sure. I do hope management takes time to read these reviews every now and then. I hear that Macy's is closing some of it stores across the country. I hope Kenwood considers some customer service training before they are next. I will certainly spend my money elsewhere. read more

Meh. Didn't have the belt I wanted. Of course that's just my own bad luck, but by happenstance found a butter dish we needed and it took forever to find a customer service rep to help us check. When she finally showed up though, she was very helpful. In the end, it all turned out good. read more

I love Macy's one day sales! I usually go straight to the shoe department and this location always has something for me! If they don't have what you are looking for they will check other locations. Had a horrible experience years ago when I couldn't get the store manager Orlena to return my call. I stopped going to Macy's. I decided to go again today to visit the Lush store inside of Macy's. I also had an exchange from another Macy's I had purchased. The Manager cosmetic manager Angie and the Clinique manager Kristina were extremely curt and rude, to the point and nothing further. When I was shopping at the Lush counter there. As I would turn to look at more product I could see Kristina and over white coat Macy's associates eyeing me down and whispering like teens in high school. When I went to the offices to complain they were all rude and was trying to please as short and curt with me. This is the worst Macy's I have ever been too. Thank god Lush is getting their own store in the mall so I will never have to step foot in this store again. read more

False credit reporting from 2010-2011, while I was deployed to Afghanistan. I have made several phone calls, mailed letters, and sent faxes since returning. My credit report now has inflated amount owed and shows c/o. I tried to call all week and get placed on hold for over 30minutes. Horrendous customer service and dishonest credit practices. read more

This Macy's is top notch. It's fantastic. One thing Macy's always gets right is they know their customer and they know who shops at the stores and they cater the experience to fit that clientele. With that said most of the Macy's mens sections have went to Sean Jean as a primary designer and while I love fashion just can't quite get into shirts that can reach my ankles at my local Macy's... And thankfully this one is very high end from crystals for your kitchen and silver flatware, to fur coats, and a huge suit section. I'm in love with this Macy's, very high end which is unique for this area of surrounding Macy's. Top notch! read more

I do love Macy's. My favorite department store! This location is really clean and has a great selection of merchandise. Lots of designers. Great selection of cosmetics and handbags. Someone fraudulently opened a Macy's account in my name. I ended up speaking with Susie with a Southern accent (customer service). Susie was incredibly rude, like she forgot she was in the business of customer care. She hung up the phone on me. They'll open an account in a child's name and ask you for blood and tears to get your name cleared. Horrible company. read more

So maybe my loyalties lie elsewhere, but I find it very difficult to find anything I want at Macy's. I won't lie -- they don't have my favorite brands, but I try to keep an open mind. My best friend found a bunch of dresses she thought I should try and I did find a beautifully elaborate cocktail dress that made me feel a bit like Taylor Swift. I just wasn't in a place in my life to spend $200 on a dress. Where am I going to wear the thing? It doesn't help that I'm not exactly a dress person. I would totally recommend Macy's to a high schooler looking for a knockout prom dress, but I don't see it as being functional for me, so I choose to respectfully abstain. read more

I was expecting the same merchandise as most Macy's have but I was pleasantly surprised to see the Michael Kors (clothes) line and Anne Klein. I bought an INC (Macy's brand) moto-jacket in the last year. Noticed this week that both sides under the sleeves have peeled away (rayon but looks/feels like leather). Have worn it about a half- dozen times. Took it to Macy's Kenwood and spoke with a supervisor. She was shocked and said they stand behind Macy's brands and would take it back. She couldn't find it on store computer and I couldn't find tags/receipt; however, I did find it on the Macy's website. I forwarded it to her. Her response: their policy is a one-year return and it must be sellable. Hello!! It's not even wearable and this is not what she said originally. **BUYER BEWARE**This is an update from a post that I originally posted on December 18, 2015 on Macy's Facebook page. It appears that Macy's deleted the original post, good thing I kept it on my notepad. ORIGINAL POST FROM 12/18/15 BUYER BEWARE!! We purchased a master bedroom furniture set back in September from the Macy's Furniture in Kenwood, Ohio. Delivery was made September 19, 2015 by (unbeknownst to us) a company contracted by Macy's, Spirit Delivery & Distribution. The two men damaged our open staircase wall and our open hallway wall after hitting the walls with the furniture as they were bringing it up to the bedroom; the also subsequently damaged the dresser. My husband called Macy's on September 22, 2015 and scheduled for another dresser to be delivered and told the representative about the damaged walls. He also advised the representative that he didn't want to do anything yet about the damage until the new dresser was delivered to ensure no other damage needed to be reported. The (second) new dresser was delivered September 26. My husband attempted to reach some one from Macy's customer care for approximately two weeks with no call back. He finally spoke to a Jason who advised him that since the damage was over $200, he would need to schedule a contractor to come out to complete an estimate and that this contractor would be in touch. We then received a letter from Spirit in mid October telling us to complete an enclosed claim form, obtain two estimates, and take photos of the damage to send to them. All of the above was sent to a claims manager at Spirit the first week of November. It is now December 18 and Spirit has ignored us and not responded to any requests to properly adjust the claim and indemnify us for the damage their negligence caused. I finally contacted Macy's back last week and was told they would "contact the warehouse" to "expedite the process." I was told to call back today if I had not heard from anyone. Perhaps not shockingly, I never heard from Macy's or Spirit. After being on hold on and off (more so on) for around 35 minutes tonight, the customer service manager at Macy's pretty much said I was out of luck and that all she could do was send another requests and pushed all the blame on Spirit and that Macy's was not responsible. It's been three months and I still have to look at damaged walls in the main entry way of the home I JUST bought two weeks prior to purchasing this furniture. Macy's hired Spirit to deliver their furniture, Spirit was acting as an agent of Macy's. Both Spirit and Macy's are culpable for the negligence these delivery men caused. Macy's failure to respond and right the wrong an agent of theirs caused is egregious and appalling. I will not be shopping from there again as it seems they do not care about their customers at all. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau among other agencies. Status as of today After posting the above, I did receive a call from some one in the Cincinnati, Ohio corporate office Monday the 21st. I finally received an offer to resolve the property damage in which we accepted, signed and mailed a release of claims on December 23, 2015 (the same day we received it). It is now January 15, 2016- almost four months post sustaining damage to our home by Macy's and just shy of a month since we mailed in their release and guess what? Still no check. I sent an email Monday requesting a status update- to just advise when the check was issued- to the address that sent us the release as well as carbon copied the individual from the corporate office. It is now Friday- an entire business week has passed and crickets. I have not received a response outside from an automated reply. Macy's lack of ownership, accountability, and their apparent obsolete desire to abide by business best practices standards is atrocious. My whole experience has been a complete and utter nightmare. I will never step foot in one of their stores again. read more

My wife and I have 800 plus FICO scores. We have been Macy's customers for 30 years with perfect payment records with their credit product. We missed a $14 payment on a $350 balance (normally we pay it off so we missed paying it off) because we were out of the country. They called but claim they can't leave messages. They reported us 30 days past due and won't retract it. That's how 30 year customers get treated. I would recommend NOT patronizing any Macy's or their subsidiaries. I am an executive with a service orientated company and would be very upset if any of customers were treated this way never mind customers with that kind of tenure. read more

I wanted to write to let someone know about the horrible experience we had shopping in the men's department of this store. I went in there looking for a dress shirt and tie for my boyfriend. No one approached me asking if I needed help. The manikins which were wonderfully matched with the shirt and tie, weren't available. I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE I looked at and approached a sales person to help me fine was "not in stock" or they "didn't carry." I was so frustrated with this experience. Why would you display a shirt that you don't even carry anymore? I spoke to several associates trying to ask for help, whom in turn walked away and said "that's corporates problem." I spent TWO hours trying to find a shirt! I finally found one that I liked but couldn't find a tie. I was so frustrated and angry at the whole experience, I took the shirt over to the men's shoe department to try and find someone who could help me. I ended up finding a nice gentleman who immediately helped. He was very nice, apologizing as I told him my frustrations. He picked out a tie that matched perfectly and within five minutes I was helped and checked out. I got his name, Matt Gomberg, so I could write to make sure someone knew how helpful he was. I am not sure I will ever go to Macy's again to buy a shirt and tie because of the whole experience but wanted to at least state that if I do go back, it was because of the employee in the shoe department. read more

I love the Macys store itself because of all the different options in clothing but can't stand the customer service. Both times I have been at the location I've been looking for a formal dress and both times I never received any type of help from any employee except when I went to checkout, that is the only time I've been acknowledge. Not even a hello or can I help you find something by any of the associates in the women's dress department. My last experience here on Thursday as I was walking out of the dressing room an older lady employee walked into the dressing room and just started grunting really loud like she was letting off some frustration. She walked right past me while she did it, way to be professional and she didn't even say one word to me. It took me all my might to not to tell her how inappropriate she was being and the fact that she was she should know better. I only hope other customers didn't hear her too how embarrassing. I wish on the receipt her name was shown because I would have called to report her to the manager just for how she acted. Hopefully next time I find myself at this Macy's I will have a better experience. read more

Visited Kenwood Macy's on Black Friday. Was interested in buying my daughter a piece of jewelry for Christmas. Had to wait a few minutes as they had two people call off sick and were short of help. Julie came over from another jewelry counter as she could see the one person assigned to the counter I was visiting was busy with another customer. She was absolutely fantastic! Patient with me while I looked at a few different pieces. Told me about a sale they were having the following week which would save me more money and offered to give me that sale price and put the pieces I chose in the safe for pickup the following week during the sale. I had reward certificates that I wanted to use, but alas, some of them were expired. She got on the phone to their credit dept. and worked me through getting them reissued so that I would be able to use them. (Apparently, they can no longer honor expired certificates at the store as they were once able to do.) She took her time with me and made the whole process a positive experience. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I will definitely do my Macy's shopping at Kenwood from this point forward even though there is another Macy's closer to where I live. Thank you, Julie! read more
