Wait, there's a Starbucks inside now!? Feel free to stop here without reading further... *ahem* *focus* I still come to Macy's because, even though I'm technically a Millennial *cringe* (and prefer shopping online), I have Wayfair Syndrome. You know... WFS: PTSD from that one time buying that, "I-look-like-a-cloud-but-feel-like-a-burlap-bag-and-conveniently-can't-be-returned-because-I'm-considered-a-personal-item-blanket." Personally, I like going old school B&M to get to feel/ touch items (esp. homewares) before buying. For instance I found a *sick* enameled oyster half-shell serving dish that I didn't even know I couldn't live without. (I mean, I'm still alive because I can't afford it, but just barely). Macy's Kenwood somehow managed to stay relevant even amidst the putrid decay of retail at all of the other big box retailers in the other Cincinnati area malls. I'm feeling E-Macy-ated, so I come into a Macy's hoping for food and drink, and all they sell is clothes and perfumes. Just my luck. Located at the mall in the north part of Cincinnati, this is a pretty popular Macy's which was fairly busy - and a lot of these department stores are going out of business, but Macy's is trying to stay relevant and trying to stay ahead of the curve, much like JC Penney, but with less success. Truth - I don't like them and I don't like their politics. I'm not going to give them a good rating anyway, and they're pretty expensive. But the server was really nice and Barbie found a couple of nice things that she was interested in buying - so overall I'll give it a middle-of-the-road rating I guess, like somewhere in the middle.

Originally opening as a Lazarus department store in 1988, this became Macy's in 2005. Since then, it's one of the retail giant's most top-performing stores in the United States. THE GOOD -Glass Montgomery hydraulic elevator -Two sets of escalators -Starbucks -Glass atrium -Friendly employees -Easy access from mall's parking garage -Distinctive Lazarus-like exterior THE BAD -Confusing layout -Obnoxiously loud Excel Dryer XLERATOR hand dryers -Lower level mall entrance plastered with "no photography" stickers -Only 2 floors VERDICT: Unique with a few flaws

We found a lot of great clothes yesterday for my husband but the customer service stinks. I finally got my husband to get rid of most of his 20-30 year old clothes and he needed to replace his wardrobe. So, we headed to Macy's in Kenwood Towne Centre. We were in there for quite a bit, in several different sections, on different floors and back & forth between areas multiple times. We saw many workers but were greeted by only one. The guy in the Ralph Lauren section asked if he could help us but he's the only one who spoke to us. When we went to the shoe section and asked for a size for my husband to try on the man seemed bothered we were there. He even walked off while my husband was still talking to him. We had so many clothes and accessories that we were literally dropping clothing on the floor and had to keep retrieving it. Still, not one employee greeting or offering of assistance. Finally, we go to check out and C. not only didn't greet us - he didn't say one word the entire time he was ringing us up. The first time he spoke was when he said the total. Then there wasn't a 'Thank you' or anything. Just a silent, glum young man.

My daughter and I got to experience Macy's in a whole new way today as VIP's to their fall fashion show. We had such a great time! The styles that they highlighted for this fall ranged from everyday to office options, they offered great ideas on how to mix up one outfit with different options. During the event they also offered gifts from other companies such as Urbana coffee, candle customization with Honybee + home co., dried flower bouquets from Sadie flower, and a sugar scrub from Queen City alchemy. We really enjoyed the swag bag we received being a part of the yelp elite crew. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Macy's offers a pleasant shopping experience with a wide variety of options in any department.

Macy's Bar III midnight blue suit. Super modern and has 98% on recommendations.

The first pair, the guy at this location told me just to grab a replacement, which made me spend a few hundred on shirts because of good business practices. This time, the guy refused to honor the guarantee on the pair included in the picture. Claiming normal ware and tear on the back of the jeans clearly on the middle inseam! I told him after a year goes by, I'll stop bringing them back in. Already ordered replacement ridge pants that hopefully hold up better (not as light as Meridian unfortunately). I'm not looking for handouts, but want to get my money out of them so it's not a complete waste (I have all the colors). Now I've lost a lot of confidence in the company as a whole. I have a lot of their clothing, backpacks, and accessories. Before, I was assured that the quality is so good that they'll stand behind it. Now that they're not, the quality must be causing them too many problems to keep up with that assurance. Third picture is the size of pants compared to fresh order made a month ago. I haven't added on in size which would be a meaningful denial as well. He just kept repeating the same thing like one of my toddlers. Just doing what he's told is my guess.

The staff at Ticknor's always have fantastic recommendations that fit great and look unique. I've bought several sport coats, shirts and even a full tuxedo from them over the past 5-6 years, and every single piece is still fashionable and gets noticed when i wear it. The best part about this place is their service though. Minor alterations like hemming pants or jacket sleeves are free and usually done same day. Often in less than an hour. They'll fit and mark everything as you try it on. Pricing is generally better than or comparable to Nordstrom's men's store, and the selection here is better, with more unique options. I usually look in both stores since they're next to each other, and always come back to Ticknor's. As others have mentioned, the salespeople here are good at selling. They will suggest lots of add ons and alternate looks to go with your sport coat. Take their advice! They know what looks good! But they won't kick you out for saying no. Buy what you want and ask for the prices up front. If you have a set budget, let them know where you want to be and they'll work with you.
