Got the poke bowl. Typically the sauce is tossed with the raw fish, and then put onto the bowl. But…read moreit looked like the rice was just sitting in the sauce so it was honestly quite salty. Wasn't expecting the best quality fish from this place, so not bad on that end. Portions could've been bigger. Service was quick, staff were nice. Seems like a nice family run business. Cheap prices, nice student discount. Probably wouldn't come back, but seemed to be pretty busy with takeout. I'd recommend trying the other dishes.

You enter and order at the counter. The food is brought by the cashier. The miso soup ($1) was plentiful, and full of seaweed and soft tofu cubes. It was delicious. The sushi lunch special? While the fish was absolutely fresh and the proportions of stuffing to rice was proper, the rice was unflavored. This is like building a fruit pie with instant crust: These things show. There was no vinegar, salt, sugar, or toasted sesame seeds to flavor the rice, leaving the sushi unadorned. Oh, and everything is served on melamine. Hibachi is on the menu, but there are no performance tables. I guess, "stir fry" is a better description. Half the menu is beverage: Milkshakes, milk tea boba, fruit juice boba. These were very popular with the teenagers who visited on a hot day. I'll come again to try their Hawaiian poke bowl. Even though I have to bus my own table, like a fast food place.
