A buddy and I drew through town at the end of a 2000 mile motorcycle trip and I promptly blew out the front tire on my bike. We limped it over to Macs not very long before closing. Very generously they did the repair while I checked out the retail shop. I bought the new tube. I was able to pick up some high-quality fluids and a visor I needed for the last leg to get home. The selection was super good and all the employees I spoke to were helpful. They didn't charge for changing out the tube and sent us on our way feeling pretty darn good after we were in a tough spot. These guys rescued us! On our 1200RT, day 7 on the road, headed west out of Clarkston Oregon. Experienced my first flat tire ever about one hour away in the middle of nowhere. Barely had a cell signal. Got on the phone with the service manager Sean who arranged for a truck and trailer to come get us. One hour later, Steve Wessels the owner himself showed up. Happily loaded our bike and all of our gear in the trailer and back to the shop we went. Their long time expert BMW mechanic Ivan skipped lunch and mounted new rubber on the bike. Bought a Honda Rancher from these guys and was really happy with the purchase experience 4-5 stars for sales. Once we got into a serious discussion about my planned use they backed off all of the up-selling and I ended up with just what I needed in a pretty base line model. Pretty good pickup (it wasn't quick), but overall quite happy. At the last minute I decided to pre-pay the first service and that was my mistake. When it came time for first service I called ahead and made an appointment. Made it clear I'd be coming from a bit of a distance and planned to wait until it was done. I showed up early and it took forever for them to get it into the shop and then not too long before closing. Looks like they really rushed it and the one thing that really needed fixing was the winch and they didn't even attempt to fix that ('tho they said they did when returning it at closing). Bottom line - 4-5 starts on the purchase and 1 star on service. For me that works out to a pretty negative review... read more

I've been in the market for a zx10R motorcycle and had been looking online and found what I wanted in Clarkston WA. I made the drive to Mac's entered the place walked by multiple employees none even acknowledge me Not that big of a deal but ok.. Then I proceeded to locating the bike in showroom as I looked at it in detail to check for any damage and then sat on it I was excited ready to buy! It was used so I wanted to start it listen to it and then of course test ride it. So I asked the sales guy who was on the floor what was required to take it for a test ride. Typical answer endorsement. So I pulled out my license and went to hand it to him and that's when it got weird. Very blunt and rudely He was like so you have the money to buy this? Are you going to buy this? I responded with yes I would like to listen to it run and test ride it it's a used motorcycle I'm not interested in buying if I can't listen to it run and test ride it. He then said I don't know you! Very rudely! I said of course you don't know me I'm a potential customer. I was so taken back by this. Here I am in the market ready to buy! And this not so sales man Jesse is shooting me down completely! I've never had a salesman shoot down what would have been the easiest cash sale. WOW! Is all I could say then I left This was the worst experience I've ever had at a motorcycle dealer and I've been buying bikes for years! While on a road trip, my Triumph Street Triple started leaking oil and doing a weird lurching thing when I decelerated. Nearest city was Clarkson, went there and called Mac's Cycle. Wasn't sure if anyone would be able to get my bike in right away considering it was summer and the height of motorcycle season, but the guys at Mac's Cycle got me right in. They diagnosed my problem immediately, showed me what had happened, and didn't even charge me for their time. The problem was, unfortunately, not an easy fix and the bike was not rideable. One of the guys even helped to push my bike up into a U-Haul. If it weren't for their help, I would likely have ruined my engine trying to ride it home. They seriously saved my bacon and for that I'm very grateful. read more

The repair department is the slowest I've ever seen! Could've taken my bike to any Honda dealership, and I chose Mac's because of their customer service. The bike has been there for a month! I've missed a lot of riding because of their lack of work! NEVER AGAIN! I've been promised the bike a number of times. If you need repair work done find someone else! I got a good price and very prompt and friendly service on a recent trip. I called ahead because I needed a tire, and they said if I could make it by 5pm they would install it for me that night. I arrived at 5:15 and they had me out the door by 5:45. Thanks guys for taking care of me! They even had 3 tire options in stock for me to choose from. Couldn't ask for better service. Dont waste your time they are extremely rude and overpriced . Checked into them online and they are hundreds of dollars more expensive then everyone else. Reached out with a review to ask about there high prices( genuinely thought there prices might include tax or something to justify the high prices and was met with name calling and childish behavior...go anywhere else. read more

I dealt with Jesse in purchasing a new (dealer demo) BMW R NineT and had a very easy experience. I live in Bend Oregon, so I made arrangements to rent a car to get up there, stay the night, and have them pick me up in the morning at the rental shop. Everything went according to our plan and the bike was better than advertised despite being about a thousand bucks cheaper than any comparables at the time. The transaction was painless, unrushed, and Jesse made sure I understood everything I needed to about the bike before fueling it up for me and giving it one more inspection before I hit the road back home. I didn't deal with the service dept. at all so can't comment, but the sales experience was especially easy. I still feel like I got an especially good deal on the bike as well. For this guys even one star is too much. I was very interested and determine to buy a BMW R1150GS from these guys and i live 3000 mile on the eastern coast. After waiting nearly 2 days for them to open up i got their sale rep. On the phone. This guys was noting short of rude, unaccomadating seller that is btw often expected from many larger city dealership's sales rep.and not the small rural dealers. He told me that the bike was on consignment, while the owner was there he refused to have me talk to the owner. He told that the bike was last serviced 2013, so i told him to if the bike is certified or servcied before sold, since they call themselves the oldest BMW DEALERSHIP IN W.COAST. He refused to straight answer my questions and ending up twisting and turing my questions. Finally i was told that the bike has never even had oil changed since 2013 and i have to pay close to 100 green for the oil change. Also if i want to find out if there is anything wrong with bike since he wouldnt provide me with a stright answer i must spend an additional 200 green! WHAT A SCUMBAGS, However i want to thank you for being one because that kind of sales manship talks a bunch about the quality of their product sold. So i was lucky not buying the bike. Here is a copy of the letter I sent to the owner of Mac's cycle after exhausting all opertunities with his staff. i highly recomend that NO ONE does buisness with this company. Buyer DANGER DANGER!!!! Mr. Larry Ashton Owner Mac's Cycles My name is Chet R Biggerstaff. I called your store last week about an ad for a 2002 BMW K1200LTe. I asked about the miles, its service record, and if anything was wrong with the bike. I was told it had 73K+ miles on it and that it had just had its service and that nothing was wrong with it. The sales person went further to say the tires were at 80%, not new but close, and there was nothing wrong, that it was an excellent example of the K1200. I then put down a $200 deposit on it via the phone taking his word for it. The next day I had to arrange a ride to get there as I live in the Tri-Cities WA. Once there we did the paperwork and the sales person was starting to tell me what everything did. I stopped him and said I wanted to learn it on my own as that's part of the fun of a new (used in this case) bike for me. I did ask if there was anything that was not obvious that I needed to know about the bike and the sales person told me you had to hit the alarm button before it would start. I then asked if there was anything else and there was not so I left (I had to be back in town by 3pm to get my daughter from school so I was in a hurry). The following day I went to wash and give the bike a thorough inspection as I didn't have time the previous day. Here is what I found.... Tires at 10% not the "almost new 80%" I was told on the phone The brakes are shot The exhaust system has a big crack in it The bike had been dumped. There is crash damage under the left side drop bumper....the fairing has been rather badly scratched up including the underside of the left bumper I was not told about any of this and should have been. The crash damage is very hard if not impossible to see from a standing position which is why I didn't see it. The problem I have being told your store didn't know is the bike had been washed which is how I found the damage. It is beyond belief that your store would take in a bike for consignment and not know everything you could about it just like any other bike on your lot. I complained via email about the tires and brakes but said that it wasn't that big of deal until I found the crash damage and the broken exhaust. Now I am beyond mad. It is very little cost to your company to supply a new set of tires on the house to keep a customer happy when this was plainly your companies fault. read more

Just bought a brand new Can-am ATV. Service dept. never did a pre-delivery checkout. Wheels out of alignment, loose nuts were found by another dealer, whom I had to pay to do the pre-delivery checkout! Macs won't make it right. Stay away from this dealer. read more
