They have a wide variety of menu selections when it comes to seafood broils. Ordered their shrimp and taters, and it was alright. They're very generous with the seasoning, but could use less of it, as my dish was more on the salty side. If I could redo my order, I would order some snow crab instead. We stopped into this quaint little place yesterday for the absolute Best meal we have had in a very long time. The seasonings on the snow crab and shrimp were the "Best" the side of corn sausage and potatoes were very generous and delicious. Everything was top notch and highly recommended for all who love to eat! We had Michelle as a waitress who recommended everything and was very informative. We also got to meet Mama Macker who took me on a tour of the Market next door...a very sweet young lady. This place was a little off the beaten path but well worth it. Only one other table was seated when we arrived but quickly the place started to get busy. We ordered a couple of beers and hush puppies for an appetizer. For the entrees we had the #9 and #17 seafood boils. Each had shrimp, cluster of snow crab plus sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. My husbands had oysters. Everything was amazingly delicious! We both didn't leave anything on our plate. Wonderful place, great staff and friendly atmosphere. Owner Jonathon met us at the door, talked us through the menu and options, and then seated us. Ordered simple steamed shrimp and scallops basket with red potato and coleslaw sides, add some mussels for variety. Wifey ordered the same. Food came with niece presentation in drawn butter bath and seasoned perfectly. Very delicious. Exceeded our expectations. Jonathon's mother was there too. Well Seafood lovers...this probably won't be your first choice when looking for the best seafood in town (Daytona). Service was great however several menu items are not in the four or five star rating area. Scallops were very disappointing. Small and lacked any kind of taste. Amazing steamed seafood. Nothing here is fried, which personally for me is sad, but the quality of the seafood and seasoning options help make up for that. Husband ordered #18 Enough for Two steam pot, and I ordered the #8 butterfly shrimp with coleslaw. The seafood itself is fresh, good size, and nice quality. The food came out in pans that look like baking pans. You can order a few different seasonings. I got the house seasoning, and husband got the Cajun seasoning which he said wasn't too hot for him (he eats a lot of hot things). He did say it was the best crab boil he's ever had. Even though the steampot was enough for two, he ate most of it. The coleslaw was really creamy and some of the best I've had in a restaurant. Even the husband pointed out I usually think the coleslaw is "okay" but here I finished it all. Being from the south, I like my carbs, so I did miss out not having hush puppies or fries that you would find in a typical seafood place, but really this is much healthier and the taste was good enough we would definitely come back. Was excited to try this seafood market and got the #17 Dockside delight: snow crab and shrimp combo. Their crab was cooked well and the sausage had a herb taste that made it unique. The corn was cooked perfectly and was nice and sweet, but there weren't many potatoes. Overall their boil flavor was good but more garlic herb than Cajun flavor. Still preferred the potatoes, seasoning and prices from Fresh Box Seafood but Macker's did have more seafood variety when it came to cooked seafood. They downside was the staff weren't really wearing masks so was not too happy about that. read more

Ordered food for pick-up to eat back at our beachside hotel, and I was a bit worried about seafood to go. This place was amazing. We ordered the steam pot sampler and another entree that they ran out of, but the server helped suggest another dish that was close and some add-one to get us what we wanted. We ordered two entrees, two sides and some bread for three people and was definitely enough to feed four. Bottom line, seafood was amazing and fresh- packaging for to-go was great and gave us enough cocktail sauce, lemons and napkins. Tip- it was a little tricky to break the blue shell crab without a cracker, but we still figured out a way. Next time I would recommend the snow crab to go instead. read more

Took a short roadtrip from Deltona to Daytona Beach to visit The Bass Shop (love this store!). We got hungry so I checked out seafood places in that general area and saw Macker Seafood had good reviews so thought we would give them a try. What a find! This unassuming establishment is in the process of upgrading to have music and a full bar. For now, it is a seafood market that prepares a variety of steamed seafood to include corn, quartered potatoes, sausage, and hard boiled egg served in the aluminum trays. Prepared to get messy! Paper towels on each table, and the restrooms are close by for washing up after the feast. But the BEST part about this place is the staff. Lance, Tim, and Jill are so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I sure hope the owner(s) appreciate these folks!!! We hope to return next week. I almost hate to give a good review because it is such a great little hidden gem. Lots of grumpy locals were there to get take out. People... be nice to those in the service industry!!! read more

We were so excited to try a seafood boil for our "mukbang" video but I have to go into details as to why I halted that project. The first and most important thing; we got food poisoning the next day that lasted way too long for my taste. The venue itself is clean and our server was very accommodating and made sure our water was filled and would check in on us every so often. Which I appreciated and have to give them stars for it. The seafood boil could be better. Some of our crab legs may be fresh but the seasoning isn't enough. They served a cocktail sauce to go along with our seafood tray. Which may be odd for some people like me. I did ask about their seasoning out of sheer curiosity and I was told that they get their version of bay seasoning from a local business who curates his ingredients from Florida; which is good and resourceful. I do wish that they added more of it though on our tray. For some reason the whole thing even down to the sausages, needed a little kick or some Cajun. Other than that, the whole experience could be better if we didn't get food poisoning, some more seasoning, and disposable wet wipes. I may go back just in case it was a bad day for them that time I got sick, and hopefully it will be much better. read more

Food was amazing. Wait for food, not so much. 3 of us were there for almost 2 hours when all was said and done. We were repeatedly told our food would be out soon. Apparently the restaurant was written up in the paper recently and that might be why they were so busy and ran out of so much food and beverage. Surprised to find that after seating us, they were only able to steam our seafood order. So, we ordered oysters, sausages & shrimp for hubs and scallops and shrimp for myself. Both came in an huge aluminum tray with large potato quarters all of which had an abundance of Old Bay seasoning. Personally, I found the spice use overpowering and excessive. This was the best meal we had in Daytona Beach. You pick the fresh seafood you'd like and any sides you'd like to add (potatoes, corn) and Mackers steams it for you! You can opt to have the seasoning or not. We did a custom order of 2 pounds of Snow crab legs and 5 cobbed corns which only totaled to less than $38. Cooked to perfection, and was very clean! Macker Seafood totally saved our Daytona dining experience. We experienced several restaurant fails over our 2.5 day trip, and I was beginning to lose hope. But then I found Macker Seafood. And things were better! This place has just recently added seating so that you can now dine in. We came here during the soft opening, so the decor was still a work in progress. The food, however, clearly has been perfected over quite some time. We ended up with a large aluminum foil pan filled to the brim with fresh seafood. I was happy with the blue crabs in particular, and my partner liked the snow crab legs and the shrimp. We also had rock shrimp, which neither one of us had ever had before, and loved it. I wish we had found this place earlier in the trip so that we could have come here more than once! A winner all around. We wish them luck with their expansion. read more

It's can also be seasoned to your liking. They have garlic butter, old bay, Louisiana style creole, and red hot pepper seasoning. I can't say enough good things about this place. What an awesome concept for a restaurant! Basically a fresh seafood counter with a bunch of different fish/shell fish to steam in a pot low country boil style. I got the lobster pot and it came with 6 shrimp 1 lobster tail, two sausage, two corn and one whole potato for $24.00! It was delicious. We're from Delaware! We were so happy to find a place that steamed their seafood with Old Bay! Old bay & steaming is big in the Delaware/Maryland area and it tastes just like home.
