Want a decent meal for an awesome price? Macho Nacho won't disappoint! The entrees here are ginormous and the prices are fantastic. Their menu is large! I usually get the Fried Oyster burrito. I've tried other items but I always end up going back to the Fried Oyster burrito. If you like oysters, this is the burrito for you! I'm not really a fan of their burritos that have steak (I thought the slices were cut too big and didn't think the meat was too fresh). If you're there for breakfast, I highly recommend the Columbian Chorizo Breakfast burrito. Burritos are buy 1 and get the 2nd one half off on Wednesdays, so bring a friend! I like the green sauce that they provide. However I'm not a huge fan of the red sauce, it's pretty hot but not very flavorful. If you like nachos, they are 25% off on Mondays (I still gotta try the Macho Nachos!). On Tuesdays, if you buy 3 tacos, you get 1 free. Mondays to Wednesdays is where it's at if you want to get an even bigger bang for your buck. The ambiance is not great here, it's more of a hole in the wall. After my first review, I have been here quite a few times. It is still such a great value! I have explored the various breakfast burritos, and think that they are all great. I keep coming back to the Habanero-glazed Chicken Burrito, though! It is fantastic. When ordering, you can request up to three different salsas. I had not notice before, the serrano chile salsa, which they call their hottest. It was great, but not as spicy as I had hoped for. If anything to ask for improvement, I would ask for a salsa with a bit more heat. Other than that....nothing bad to say after about 10 visits. I have not found any weaknesses on the menu! read more

My second coulinary love, after dumplings, is the venerable street taco. Macho Nacho is an ok spot, but not quite as good as the now defunct Taco Truck in the same parking lot. The inside is dated and kind of dingy, without the charm of other equally dated and dingy restaurants. As far as the foot, I'e gone for both Chicken and Carne Asada. The chicken tacos are extremely plain and boring. I'm talking barely seasoned chicken, cheese, and pico. The Carne Asada is a much better choice, as each taco comes with guac and Pico. Better flavor, but also kinda salty. This spot is decent, but there are definitely better in Morristown. This certainly isn't as authentic as some of the other Taco spots in Morristown. I was in the area for an appointment and I was in the mood for Mexican. It seems like there are a few Mexican establishments in the nearby vicinity, according to Yelp, but Macho Nacho's reviews stood out. I got lucky when I checked this place out. I came on a Wednesday, and it was buy one get one half price burrito day. I tried the carne asada burrito and the shredded beef burrito. Both were really good. There's a good balance of meat and veggies. The hot sauce was also really good as well. My dishes came with a small side of lettuce and chips. I couldn't finish both burritos, so I split the two and I took what I couldn't finish home. As a note they also sell Jarritos soda here. For those of you who don't know what this is, its a brand of Mexican soda, that comes in a variety of different fruity flavors. All of the flavors are good. The taste of this soda is excellent and it goes with Mexican food really well. I recommend you give it a try if you haven't. You won't regret it. read more

Macho Nacho provided a solid meal the day after my brother's wedding. My trio needed sustenance before the journey back to South Jersey/Philadelphia, and this little spot fit the bill. We shared the Macho Nachos which were topped with the usual nacho fixins, plus chorizo, chicken and steak. This place is getting a 1 star review now. Used to enjoy coming here but there's no organization and they often lose my order moments after taking it on the phone. Sometimes I sit for 20-30 minutes without knowing if my order had been forgotten or lost after just paying for it. I can't tell you how many times I walk in here thinking I can put an order in for a quick burrito to go and end up confused waiting 30 minutes only to find out my burrito has been ready and cold but they decided to not yell out my order number. Simply the best Mexican for I have had in my nineteen years in NJ. As a native southern Californian, I am always on the lookout for good Mexican food and, more often than not, I have disappointed with what I have found in the area - but not this time. I had the taco platter, (3 tacos) and my wife had the burrito, both carnitas. Bot were excellent with authentic carnitas flavor. Both had plenty of meat and are served with a mild green salsa and a fairly hot red salsa. We were in the area to see the local arboretum, but I wouldn't hesitate to drive the 30 miles again just to eat here. Oh yeah, it's also an outstanding value. The outside of this building is sort of deceiving but don't let that prevent you from coming here. I got the large macho nacho because everyone seems to really like it. It had chicken and i think beef? They also added cheese, guac, and sour cream. I believe the large is around 7/8 dollars but i could be wrong. One word to describe the flavor: cajunny. Ah, the Veggie Burrito...that's what I ordered. The menu is enormous as it seems to try to account for every possible combination of Mexican ingredients but that is okay. Take your time, find a favorite, and it will certainly make it easier for the next time around. The food is great, the prices are amazing, but be warned on the jalapeños as I believe I simply ate too many of them with the nachos that were at the table...then again, it could have been the hot sauce. Macho Nacho is a bare bones type of establishment that serves up some satisfying burritos. I have not branched out much because I like the carnitas burrito and just keep getting it. I got chicken once and wished I had gotten the pork. I do want to try the other menu items. I find that there is variability in my burrito. Sometimes it is very oily (bad!), other times it is fine. A couple of times there hasn't been very much meat in my burrito. Most of the time everything is good, but those few times have been dissatisfying. I told the cashier and she told the kitchen, but I don't know if it had much effect on anything. If anything they might have been mad that I was asking them for something. Also they didn't apologize. Their green sauce is really good. I also like the buy one get one half off (bogoho?) deal on Wednesday- I think I'm getting better at actually saving that second burrito til the next meal. Decent Mexican food and low prices. The inside could definitely use some work. I was a little confused when I first walked in... What's with all of the bagel baskets? Am I in the right place?? You wouldn't have any idea you're in a Mexican restaurant until you look at the menu board. I thought the food was all fine, but nothing to go crazy over. Chips and guacamole were average, guac was a little bland. The burritos are served on paper plates with shredded lettuce and sour cream on the side. Presentation was actually pretty nice and I liked that the burritos were sliced in half. I ordered the "Firebird Burrito" off the specials board. WARNING this burrito is HOT! I enjoy spicy food and this burrito gave me a run for my money. So spicy it should come with a warning label and pitcher of ice water. As hot as it is though it was good. I kept going back for more and finished the whole thing. This place is highly rated in my book. I am a regular customer there, because it is relatively affordable, and the food is extremely consistent in quality. First of all, this place is not fancy; it's a pretty basic place. A few tables, and bench-booths, with a couple decorations on the wall. If you go at a busy time, you'll likely find yourself waiting in line to order at the single cash register. I've had their burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and tamales, and all around, their food is excellently seasoned, especially their meat. Their carnitas pork. Their asada beef. They all have great flavor--how they spice it so well! I've gotten to the point where I don't really ever order off their menu directly. I basically order one of the burritos and then add / change the ingredients, and it always comes are delicious. For instance, I get the veggie burrito, but I ask them to add shredded beef, and use black beans instead of their refried, and add guacamole. Amazing. Also amazing, as you've probably read in the other reviews is the dulce carnitas burrito -- pork with plantain. Personally, I also like to order the fish fajita burrito--I ask for a chicken fajita burrito, but instead of chicken, I ask them to use fish. Their machaca burrito (beef and egg) is also great. How about their quesadillas? Same base ingredients, right? That means a consistent flavor. That means they taste great too. Their tamales I'll rate separately. I think their are excellent. They pretty enormous. You'll probably get a mouthful of moist cornmeal flour, but there's going to be veggies packed with in the meat. Now, when you eat these, the meat will actually have bone in it. So be careful. But if you think about it, that's how their tamales drip with flavorful juices. To be clear, don't come here for a salad. You'll probably get iceberg lettuce with diced tomato and sliced radish -- it's the standard side they give if you eat in. If you take out, you'll get tortilla chips instead. The quantity of the side foods is pretty inconsistent, so keep that in mind. This place has excellent food for the type of establishment that it is. read more
