I was a member. Week after week they catered hard to non members more than paying members. I've…read moreseen non members butt their way in front of paying members at the traps almost every time and ROs say nothing. Confront them on butting in and you get reprimanded by the RO. Ammo taken and used from other people. Don't even get me started on the RO,s. In short, if you are a non member its awesome.

I've been wanting to go to a shooting range for a long time, but never had the time. I also wanted…read moreto try a shooting range that lets you use real guns with real bullets, which there aren't too many in the GTA. I came across Silverdale Gun Club through a Wagjag deal and decided to try them out. It was my first time trying something like this, so I had no idea what to expect. Our instructor was Adam, and he was great. He was very nice, gave us clear instructions, was patient and he answered questions we had. You could tell he really enjoys what he does. I also liked that this range was outdoors. I was grouped with a few other people who also had a Wagjag package, which I liked. It made it more fun and interactive. I enjoyed being able to watch others shoot and encourage everyone as a group. We got earplugs (which you definitely need), and we got to shoot four types of guns - handgun, 9mm, rifle and AKS. I was pretty nervous of the recoil, but I had no issues with any of these guns. My favourite was the AKS because the stance we were in with elbows on the table felt more comfortable. It was also cool to aim through the scope! Apparently this is one of the few places that let you shoot with a wide range of guns. It's also open almost every day of the year, except Christmas and New Year's. Super fun experience and definitely recommend if you want try shooting for the first time or even if you just need somewhere to shoot with your own gun.

This was my first time and I've never had so much fun doing anything in a long time. They take you through a safety procedure. PROVE and teach you how to make sure a gun isn't loaded. It's to keep a gun "safe" and then they teach you how to hold it and then you go into the range. Again they have officers to make sure you don't blow your hand off. The whole process takes approx 1hr. We went on a tuesday because we dont have gun licenses. It's $15 and just so much fun!!!! I wish it was closer to Toronto...takes a long time to get there (1-2hrs) but def. worth the trip once in a while. Would go back! Staff is GREAT and really fun to hang around ^_^!

Every now and then I get the urge to shoot up some paper targets and a quick Google search told me…read moreto go to Pinecrest on Tuesday for their New Shooter Night where they are open to the public. When a buddy of mine and I came here for the first time, we had second thoughts due to the location and overall aesthetic of the place. However, quick and friendly service got us processed and seated in under 10 minutes and we soon forgot all about those doubts. For $20 cash, picture ID, and an hour (assuming you are in the first group of shooters) you get to shoot 50 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition. Add an hour if you have not completed the club level safety course within the past six months. The club level safety course teaches you how to make the guns safe, the commands you will be given when you're in the range, and smaller things like how to use the sights properly, loading the magazine, and proper shooting stance. As for when you're actually on the range, you load magazines of 5, you shoot off 25 rounds, go down range to replace your target and shoot off the remaining 25. Super simple and some very helpful instructors guide you every step of the way. Tip: New Shooter Night is on Tuesday's 6:30-9PM OR the first 40 people. It is highly recommended you get there ~5-10 minutes early and wait outside for the doors to open as it gets filled up pretty quickly most nights. Remember to bring $20 cash and a piece of ID like your drivers license. There is no ATM inside.

I loved the vibe inside they a have a counter to book your shooting times, tables and chairs in the center and bar at the other end. They offer trap shooting, skeet shooting and I believe they have a range of sorts as well. The staff reminded me of the men in Grumpy Old Men and I loved it. They have food for order and alcohol, though no alcohol is allowed out in the shooting area. It's $5 for members for trap/skeet and $7 for non members. We had a good time and a good experience and will be returning!

I've been coming here pretty regularly as part of a summer trap shooting league. Prior to joining…read morethe league, i had been here a few times before. It's a great club offering trap and skeet shooting, in both leagues and and non-leagues. They have open shoot hours on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's $7 a round for non members, which is a great price. They have a little bar inside that serves drinks (both non alcoholic and alcoholic), though no alcoholic beverages are permitted outside on the trap fields. They also have some snacks and some food to order as well. They have multiple fields for booth trap and skeet and it can get really busy, but they handle it well. It's a great place to come and do some shooting.
