The man in charge of the game did not care at all and ruined the entire thing for all of us. Never got any discount or banishing the players or anything. I will never go back.

Let me start by saying, I have been wanting to come here for a long time to play Airsoft…read more 65 acres, several field layouts, elevation changes, I was pumped to go! I finally played here this weekend and was very disappointed and frustrated with the face protection rules at Flag Raiders for Airsoft players. I drove 70km to attend the Saturday game and was there at the gates by 8:30am, got ready to play with the other players by 9am. Staff took my money, got my wrist band and was on the field getting my gun chronoed around 9:30am when the ref told me my Revision Desert Locust goggles were not allowed. I asked him why not? He said they have to be Paintball goggles. I explained to him these were not specifically made for Airsoft but rather for the military. He mentioned I could talk to someone out in front and see if they would allow them. Went out and found who I believe is the owner, and began to explain the situation. Here are the specs to the Revision Desert Locust before we proceed. -EXCEEDS U.S. MILITARY BALLISTIC IMPACT REQUIREMENTS FOR GOGGLES (MIL-PRF-32432, CLAUSE 4.4.3.3.5 -EXCEEDS ANSI Z87.1-2010 BALLISTIC IMPACT AND OPTICAL REQUIREMENTS -CE CERTIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EN 166, EN 170 AND EN 172 https://www.revisionmilitary.com/en/eyewear/goggles/desert-locust-u-s-military-goggle-system I mentioned to the owner that I signed a waiver and should be allowed to play with them. I mentioned these were not Airsoft goggles but rather goggles made for military applications, shrapnel impact, debris and that they could withstand a shotgun blast at 15ft with no penetration (yes, video link below to prove it). He began to say that ballistic ratings are different from Paintball safety ratings and that my goggles would fall apart after one shot. Told him I disagreed and that he was wrong, then walked away. Revision shotgun test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGXoTAJB_IU As I stood in line waiting to rent their goggles for $5 I saw a couple in the same situation, the man was wearing identical goggles I have (Revision Desert Locust). I approached them and asked if they had the same issue and what they were going to do about it. He mentioned they were leaving and would be getting a refund. I figured I drove all that way, got there early just to dress up to then be told I cant play... well, no! I was going to try and play at least with their equipment and see. The goggles I rented sat significantly further away from the eyes rendering using my scope almost impossible, so aiming was going to be just spray and pray. Because the goggles sit so far from your face I could not get proper cheek weld to be able to see down my magnified scope. After missing most of the first game due to not being able to use my goggles, the rental goggles I received were heavily scratched and dirty. Put them on, checked for fit and went in. Could not see very well, and could not aim due to the bulky frame. Ran around for a bit, trying to aim at other players, trying to have fun while getting shot etc. It was a terrible experience! I played a couple games, and went home extremely disappointed by 11am. If you want the business from Airsoft players, educate yourself on what gear is going to be used. Fields like Wasaga Beach Paintball, and Combat Pursuit in Pickering both allow the Revision goggles to be used. I had no issues there at all, in fact Wasaga Beach Paintball lists them specifically on their website as approved gear for Airsoft, see link below. http://www.wasagapaintball.on.ca/airsoft.html Quote from their site: "Due to insurance regulations: All players must have paintball approved goggles or *Revision brand goggles* with enclosed sides and a strap. Other brands of tactical, mesh and/or safety goggles are not permitted. Sorry for any inconvenience." Moral of the story, if you want business from the Airsoft comunity get informed, insulting your customers saying they are playing with inferior (toy like) equipment wont get you any return business. I know you have been in business since 1983 and probably care less, as you already have a large Paintball customer base. Why you should need to own Paintball goggles just to play airsoft is beyond me. Don't forget that a positive customer experience is what brings you $$. Word of mouth and the internet are powerful things. Myself nor my friends will retun unless this is corrected.

The staff at the counter were really nice, but the ref did nothing during to game to actually control it. Lots of cheating, some bad sportsmanship. I haven't played paintball in 6 years and after visiting today I remember why I stopped. I would recommend travelling a little outside to the GTA to play at Flag Raiders paintball in Kitchener.

The staff are just the rudest and most miserable people on earth. The old guy there only knew how to yell at little people and especially little kids. One little boy asked him about his jammed gun and just got yelled at badly he almost teared. He loves putting people down to make himself feel good and more special. The place is super small, dark and smells worst than a sewer. All the equipment they rent you are shot up and in the worst condition. My gun would not fire properly and no one there knew how to fix it. They also refused to switch guns for me so I had to play with a broken gun. The masks they provided were so scratched up, it is hard to see where you are going especially in the dark. I asked to switch my mask and the old guy yelled that it didn't really matter which one I had, they were all like that. The suit they provide you are unwashed and most of them were super soggy from previous players. DISGUSTING! The gameplay there were all the same no matter what type of match you play (capture the flag, president, dodgeball). Because of how the size of the court and how it is set up, everyone just ends up hiding and no one ever wins or loses. It always ends up with players on two sides shooting at each other until time runs out disregarding which game type it is (a lot of blind firing). There are no refs on the court and people are dishonest. Only one guy standing by the exit yelling at people to put their safety on. Though it is cheap with the groupon... it is not worth a penny. There are much better places than Defcon (Victoria Park). You do not deserve to pay to get yelled at and degraded. Highly NOT recommended.
