Pursuit OCR was super fun! The first time I went was when they first opened many years ago, back in the old location (smaller venue). This newer location was bigger, more spacious, and had more obstacles and areas such as dodgeball & volleyball arena and arcade games (which you can play after finished with going through the obstacle course). I really liked the diversity of all of the courses. For some of them, you can choose the 'easy' or 'hard' version. Once you finish going through all of the obstacles in the course (which took ~30-45 minutes), you can play dodgeball, volleyball, arcade games, giant Jenga, giant 4-In-A-Row, try scaling up one of the vertical walls, or go through any of the obstacles again. Staff were all super friendly and energetic, from the ones who greeted us at the front and helped us check in, to the ones who explained the rules once inside. Useful tips: - Sign the waiver online to save time when checking in. - Bring a lock or you can purchase one at the front desk for $4. - There is ample parking space in the parking lot right outside the building, and TTC bus stop is 2-8 minutes walk (depending on which bus # you take). - There is a vending machine where you can purchase drinks. - It's better to wear long pants or leggings instead of shorts because in some obstacles, there are 'slides' component and parts where the surface can rub hard against the skin (and pants also do a better job at protecting the knee when crawling). read more

Finally took a visit to the 'new' location and I am blown away - this place is HUGE compared to the old location and a lot easier to find. The entry fee is $20 and vaccinations are required (phew, or else I wouldn't have gone). The place is really big to wander around, and it seems endless! Also, don't know if it's just me but the new location's obstacles has beginner AND super difficult levels whereas the old location was pretty easy with all of their obstacles. The ball pit is amazing - world's deepest ball pit for sure... I felt like I was drowning trying to crawl my way out. Definitely a workout just in that pit. There are tons of other obstacles which require upper body strength and they were super fun! & there are tons of stuff that are good for anyone, gym go-er or not, such as the tricycles which actually move surprisingly fast and the jumpy bouncy castle. The only thing I didn't like is how deep the pit is when you fall from the bars where you swing across - I fell into the depths of hell and literally thought my life was over and I would need to be fished out. It was so. deep. - the pit was kind of deflated too and extremely difficult to climb out. I find their covid measures pretty good, with mask requirements and everything is super clean with lots of hand sanitization around. It was fun to go to. It has a lot of different activities. The closest kind of thing I can compare it to is bouldering and it's pretty different than that. But I don't really see going here often, there aren't really challenges of increasing difficulty you keep doing to improve on like bouldering. There's just stuff like ball pits and slides that you go on once and then there's not much reason to do those more than once. But maybe different people would think about that differently. read more

Very fun experience. For 90 mins of pure fun it has everything you need for a unique date experience. It is active and has something for everyone ranging from the very active individual who wants to run up a wall, the inner child who wants to ride around in a tricycle. Theres free arcade games, dodgeball, jumping castles for people who are tiring out or want to be less active. It is pretty upper body focused and can get tiring so don't come unless you want something that is an active sport like activity. There are also lots of cute spots to take beautiful photos. Pursuit OCR is a "Chuckie Cheese for Adults" as my friends would call it, and I'd have to say I agree! It's definitely a playground for all ages and all levels of fitness. It was a great way to get moving, challenge yourself, and compete with your friends, without ever feeling like a workout! Loved it here! I've seen this place all over Tiktok but was pushed to come by my mom who visited for a work social. She wasn't physically able to do much on the course but still found it fun and thought we'd enjoy it more. We came as a group of 7 and went through the course to try it all. As huge American Ninja Warrior fans we've gained more respect for the athletes that can zoom through quickly! Each room/area is different and felt like a huge adult playground (exactly as advertised). It's around $22 per person for 90 minutes. The guy working there, Darryl, was so nice and helpful throughout our experience. Make sure you either bring a lock for the lockers or put loose things away in your car - they warned us about losing things in the ball pit and one of us didn't listen... Darryl told us about a Hakka place down the street and we visited after our sweaty pursuit. What else is there to do on a super cold day in Toronto!? Go to an indoor obstacle course/adult playground!! Upon entering you have to fill out a waiver. There are changing rooms and lockers in the facility but make sure you bring a lock for the lockers! The place is clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They don't hesitate to strike up conversation or give you helpful tips to get through certain obstacles. For $20CAD (or show your student ID for a discounted price) you get to go through a handful of different activities. There is no time restriction and you can leave and come back the same day if you'd like. Just keep your receipt for re-entry. The ball pit may seem harmless but it's definitely a challenge to get across to the other side because it swallows you up. It may not seem that deep but it definitely took some time for my friends and I to get to the other side. They also have a tricycle race track that's pretty fun because you can choose to race your friends. As someone who doesn't consider myself fit I liked how this place was designed to suit different fitness levels. I still had a great time challenging myself through each course. Came here twice after their move and renovation - and both experiences had been great! The new location is relatively easy to find - with a big visible sign outside the warehouse. There's limited parking right in front of the main entrance - and additional parking around the side/back of the building if it's full. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to. They help answer any questions if you're not sure what to do - and I love their positive encouragement so that you don't feel intimated or overwhelmed. Basically, you pay ~$20 and you have a full day access to the facility. The facility is much bigger than their old one - with multiple change rooms and lockers available. I like how they also have a retro arcade area available (free of charge) - to play. In terms of the activities - they have a mini parkour section once you entered. Then there's different types of obstacles such as monkey bars, trampolines, tires, ropes, swings - all which really challenges your whole body strength. At the end of the course is a giant ball field to jump in. There's also the vertical ramp, which has been upgraded to go as high as 15 feet. And a mini bike course, where you ride a tricycle and race through like go-karting. The only thing I would've like better is if there were signs or directions on how to navigate the obstacles. Fully understand that you could do it however you want, but perhaps if it was shown to us how it's properly done, then people can work towards that format / setup. Overall I had a great time there - when you can go at your own pace, everyone is friendly and sharing. There are lots of area for you to sit / rest or simply chit-chat. Seen lots of cool videos on social around this area and decided to try it out myself! I came with a group of 6 on a Saturday night and the place was packed! First going in, someone was there to check whether you had been drinking or taking anything. If you are, you wouldn't be allowed as they need you to essentially be in your normal state and alert. The lobby and entrance area is where you need to sign the waiver and pay. It was around $22.60 (including tax) for me that night. Then heading in there will be the changing stalls on the right and washroom /skee ball machines on the left. They also provide lockers for your belongings but remember to need to bring your own lock. OCR is pretty huge inside! You can start anywhere and also get out or skip certain obstacle courses as you wish. For someone like me that doesn't have upper body arm strength, a lot of them were difficult and I had to skip. Otherwise it's all fun and enjoyable. My favourite was the half pipe and tricycle karting thing. It was tough but challenging at the same time. As for the ball pit, I almost sunk in it and needed help. It was interesting, yet really hard to get up and out. One thing I found lacking is that the staff were not sharing or guiding us. They were kind of just standing there in case you need them instead of proactively telling us about the obstacle courses and instructions. The one that's more interactive is at the half pipe where you need to run up. Overall, if you do one round of the full course as a group, you can spend approximately 1.5hr to 2hr there. I thought this was going to be one of those trendy activities (eg. axe throwing, archery tag) where you'll try once and wouldn't bother again. At the end, I came out with my butt kicked, but would be down to come back! A great work out for a very affordable price, $20 for an all-day pass or $15 if you have a group of 10 or more. Honestly, you'll be tired out by 2-3hrs anyways. It's day 2 since my visit and my arms still feel like noodles. I went for my friend's birthday and we had a reservation area upstairs on a porch-like structure. The spot had a long table and chairs, which allows you to bring food to host a party. The environment is very inviting with the lights and a ball pit so it does ease off the intimidation factor. The playground overall accommodates varying athletic abilities so everyone can find something that will challenge them just enough. No pressure if you can't do anything as the staff did mention the rules in the beginning -"no pussy calling allowed". The obstacle course was okay with a mix of climbing, tunnels, bouldering, monkey bars and balancing. But what draws the crowd is running the ramp up the wall... I'll be coming back one day to defeat it! Strangers kept coming up giving me pep talks and tips to run up the wall. What a friendly environment! Tips - Recommend wearing long tights/capris to protect from wooden splinters from the playground and skid marks from sliding the ramp. This place is the best concept I've seen since Aerosports. I like it way better though, because there are no kids. It's an adult playground and definitely has some Instagram worthy optics. Place is very clean and the staff are all cheerful and extremely helpful. They also help you get your captures which is so so helpful. The orange ball jump is fun but don't think it's just a playful pit to have fun in. It is definitely difficult and will not hesitate to swallow you any chance it gets. The wire trip was cool.. I spent awhile trying to get out of that. My husband is definitely more fit than me so he had an easier time gettinthrough the obstacles. This place is a gym and I'm happy that I got my workout in. I found myself screaming to get out of certain positions.. took me back to childbirth actually... This place is the real deal. At first, I thought I was entering a place that was just an average basic obstacle course and that people probably come here for the Instagram photos.. boy, was I wrong and the soreness in my body the next day was a tell tale sign of how much I worked my body out. Strap on your grippy shoes and shake out your noodly arms. It's time to climb, jump, and play your way to a better body! This "gym" is honestly the most fun I've ever had at any gym. I didn't see any deadlift platforms or smith machines, but what it does have is one hell of an adult playground! (not that kinda adult playground ;) ) Pursuit OCR is, for a lack of better word, awesome. It's beautiful (look at those colour-changing lanterns) and every inch is filled with something interesting. In addition to the obstacle course, there are hanging ropes, chains, and gym equipment for people to use (or try to use) for just $20. They also have classes and some sort of cryogenic sauna room. Yes, freezing yourself CAN BE healthy! Onto the obstacle course itself, it actually wasn't bad at all! This is coming from someone who is terrified of heights. Seriously, I can't even go on top of monkey bars. But what I do have is an easy time succumbing to peer pressure. And with a little bit of motivation, I was able to pretty much do the entire course. It's always comforting to know that the course is designed so that you can bypass any part you don't want to do. And of course, there's the infamous wall. Do your best to run up that thing and feel like a ninja. Or, flop over on your bum and slide down. Everyone will cheer you on anyways. Patrons and staff alike were very helpful and encouraging. It's like being among friends. While I loved this place, I'm not sure how many times I can be back. Having run through the course 3x completely, it got a little predictable. My more flexible and daring friend actually wanted a more challenging course. Maybe in the future, there will be expansions. Pursuit OCR is pretty much a jungle gym/playground for adults. They had many obstacle courses such as monkey bars, rock climbing and even a tricycle path! I came on a Saturday at 6pm and it was full. The good thing is that you don't have to line up long for each game. Most people there were very courteous and you basically just go when its your turn. I think the best part was that everyone just cheered and clapped for each other (whether you finished an obstacle course or not), which made it a very enjoyable and motivating! It's also only $20 + tax for as long as you want! We stayed there for around 2 hours. Definitely more fun to come with a group of friends! They also had some arcade games in the front. My favourite had to be the tricycle course. It was fun, yet not too challenging to finish. I really loved all the illuminating lights as well. Tip: bring an ID as they would need to verify that you are over 18. If you need to change, better off bringing a lock with you to secure your belongings. I would highly recommend bringing workout gloves too as I ended up getting some blisters on my palm after doing some of the obstacle courses. read more

My friend and I decided on a whim to try out Pursuit OCR. Let me just say that when I first walked in I was intimidated because there were sooo many people here on a Saturday night - you'd expect people to be partying or something, but nope. So we signed our waivers. One bad thing about this place is that we had to put our legal names ... not a very inclusive place for trans folks. So that takes off a star. Otherwise this place is pretty cool and fun for athletic/sport newbies like us. It's also a fairly small place in terms of different stations. Would have loved to see more cushion for the bouldering section cause I can see some issues with those small mats! The place is also very aesthetically pleasing for all the instagram heads out there. Pursuit OCR is an absolute blast. I should clarify something for people who might be a little intimidated by this indoor obstacle course. Pursuit OCR is more of a freestyle experience than a "race." Some people seem to think you need move through each obstacle in sequential order, at a consistent pace while trying to keep ahead of other people on the course. And that might be a deterrent for someone who thinks they're not in shape. A few of my friends were worried about this, so if you're in the same boat you'll be happy to know you are under no obligation to complete anything. You can challenge yourself to the obstacles you like, and skip the ones you don't. Nobody is going to rush you, and you can take as much time as you need. Best adult playground ever! Felt like a kid again and for a relatively cheap rate of $16 for student (must present student ID) it is an incredible experience. Best part is that it isnt an hourly thing. It is a whole day pass! You can leave and come back and show the receipt to get back in. So dont lose it. The place is quite big but the course isnt that much. Although you do get a lot of activities throughout. They have a tricycle that drifts on their own race court. Challenge yourself, race through the course with a friend or just take your time a cruise by it. The most challegning thing surprisingly was the ball pit. It is only "4 foot deep" apparently but when i jumped in...i almost died. Suffocated. Drowned. It can get quite a hassle going through the ball pit and you gotta stay vertical. If you try to swim across...know you will go down. But they have people looking out for you and also they warn you ahead of time. Thought they should put up a sign that says how deep the ball pit is and how you should survive it lol. All in all, it was a great experience. read more

I was sad I never had the opportunity to go to their previous location downtown, but the re-opening is definitely worth the wait! Things you should note before arriving: - Bring a lock with you. The staff do have locks for you to use free of charge but it's easier and more convenient if you do have one. There's no signage, but lockers are located by the entrance of the obstacle course area - I would recommend wearing long pants as opposed to shorts. Think I banged my knee up the halfpipe and there is some sliding so just in case you wanna avoid that rope-burn feel... - Wear workout gloves if you have, unless you've got super good grip strength or callousy-enough hands that you're immune to burn lol -- I found it difficult to hang on to the bars/rings (but maybe that's just my lack of upper body strength) If you decide to come, you MUST try the tricycle racing at least once. It was so much fun. Fair warning, the bikes spin out if you don't control your speed on turns. One of my favourite things I experienced is how encouraging the atmosphere is. You might feel intimidated if you think your fitness level is too low or that you're someone who isn't physically active. It doesn't matter! Everyone is hyping and pumping everyone up at every step, even if you mess up. It's such a great vibe and you forget all that and know that you're having fun. If you're looking to have your self-esteem really hyped up, try the half-pipe. I guarantee everyone is gonna root for you. Another thing I love is the friendly staff. They're here giving you tips and making sure you're having a good time. Just a lovely bunch. No complaints. The course itself isn't too big but you can run through it multiple times which is great. In the end, if you feel like you really don't want to go to the obstacle course (though I don't so see why not since you made it this far), there's few arcade games you can tryout like skeeball, racing simulations, and so on. read more

It is an indoor obstacle course which includes hurdles, monkey bars, rope climbing, ball pits etc. My favourite would be the ramp where you need to pull yourself up with a rope, the monkey bars over the ball pit and the multi-level hurdles. All obstacles were really fun and challenging. After one full run of the obstacle course, we were already sweating buckets haha This place is a good idea for a birthday event because you'll have an excuse to make the birthday girl/boy go in the dunk tank hahaha (We did this for the August birthday babies :P) Parking spots are available right outside the front entrance. I almost had a very serious injury here. I fell on my back from approximately 6 feet high, on the floor. The cushion wasn't where it was supposed to be and it could have been so much worse if it weren't for my reflex to sacrifice my elbow to save the back of my head from hitting the floor. We notified the staff, and they just said they would push the cushion back. The question is, why did it move in the first place? There's nothing to keep it there? They didn't care at all that I was injured. I don't recommend this place if you value your physical integrity. read more

Place is pretty far west, it was easy to find and although it had no dedicated parking lot, parking on the street was plentiful and free. Came with some friends to try out this gym/obstacle course. Opted for the package with 10 people for $150 ($15/each), over the $20 regular daily pass. Front desk Shane? Brought us in and showed us around, gave some explanation to what each area was meant for what. There were 2 changerooms, a private washroom with shower, and 2 other washrooms as well. Lockers are provided, but you must supply your own lock. If you don't have one, one can be rented from the front desk. Obstacle course was TOUGH. First run I was sweating. Requires lots of strength, mostly upper body. Lots of various obstacles to test yourself on. Walls, ropes, monkey bars etc. There was also the famous wall that people run up. I think the heights were 18ft and 20ft. We spent a large portion of the time attempting to run up the wall. The location also offers classes, and had one running while we were there. It looked like some sort of circuit / strength training class. Other amenities: Cryochamber Slack line Pinball machine Foosball table Overall this seemed like a niche gym, for those looking specifically for this sort of place. Pursuit 2.0 Day pass = $20+tax This is a fun obstacle course, but there are a number of hanging / climbing parts, which means you will miss out on some things if you can't hang. Still, there are several fun things even if you lose grip strength pretty fast. In order of my preference: 1. Warped wall. The wall where you have to spring up and climb over the top. This was fairly challenging. I'm tall, so I was able to get to the highest level, but it took me ~10 attempts to finally get it. A good challenge. 2. Tricycle racing. It's hard to go too wrong with this. They are pretty fast and drifting / spinning out is amusing. 3. Rings which you swing across to a platform on the other side. This was challenging. Takes a lot of grip strength. I was only able to do it once. 4. Slackline (with rope net if you fall). it's difficult to balance across this, but definitely possible for most people. The pipes after this are relatively easy but still takes some work. 5. Arcade games in the front. Played street fighter which brought back some memories. There were a few other parts which were fun too. I am not a fan of the ball pit. To each their own. Bring a lock. Lockers aren't big, so you might want to leave your heavy coat in the car. If there is a way to sign the waiver online, try that. When you get there, the tablets are really annoying to use. It's not a big deal, but they are placed at a strange height and angle. You might want to wear longer pants / sleeves to reduce sliding burns, and exposure to dirtier parts of the course. I tore a callus on my second time through. Seems like a fad and will not be returning again. Although the course was tough, it was odd to find the start of orientation was the nitrogen chamber. The staff didn't try to pressure us to try it but seemed like a sales tactic. People enjoyed the course but the instructions were brief and difficult to hear the staff during orientation when the music was blasting loud. Pictures and signs would definitely have helped make the experience better to avoid anyone passing through the obstacles course in a dangerous fashion. Many had bruises but there were parts of the course that could be considered as unsafe. I likely won't go back as summer is coming up soon. There were lots of people trying the running ramp with limited success. Ended up the night at a bar and eating enough to recoup the calories. read more

Fun experience. Came here during the holidays and wasn't too busy. Did everything in just under 2 hours at a leisurely pace. My friend and I are not the most fit but we're able to do most of them. I like how it's designed to suit all fitness levels. The lighting in here is cool and the ball out was especially amusing since it was very deep, once you jump in it will take a while to go across. We can't help giggling the whole time. It is a good option for a group of people. read more

Some of the reviews are low because people got hurt, to get hurt on this course is due to simply not being careful. Me and my friends LOVED it. Had an awesome time running around this huge warehouse! The big wheel bikes are awesome and there are so many great obstacles to mess around on. Other activities include a huge ball pit, ski ball, tons of cool old school video games and bouldering! Very nice staff and a really inclusive and inviting atmosphere. Recently made it out for a fun healthy activity day. Had a great time but there's room for impediments; We enjoyed all the activities and had a good time, as soon as we entered we were greeted and were asked to fill in the waiver. Once we paid we were asked to wait for a moment... the person behind the counter had checked everyone else inn and took us all inn as a group, gave us a nice quick tour around and explained the different activities. And then we were off.... We found the place to be fun, literally like a gym/playground all in 1. The area doesn't look very big at all and the main structure could be compared to an outdoor playground. They had 2 large private change rooms and the lighting/ ambiance Was fun. Everyone there is there to have fun, no weird attitudes or competition. The reason I felt this place couldn't receive a higher rating is due to the fact that we all found this place to be filthy... :( We came during the day and although the lighting was dimmed which brought out the funky lite fixtures above, we saw how dirty the floors were, the mats were dusty and covered in shoe prints, (not a pleasant space to stretch) the crawl spaces under the play structure was very dirty the padding was really run down and we got a few splinters crawling under/neath the structure... the washroom had a shower inside which seemed like a good idea except it was covered in pink soap scum which was disgusting and the place needs some kind of air ventilation system, an AC WOULD BE AWESOME OR MORE FANs? Not only do you get very sweaty very quickly, but if your wearing shorts like we were your legs, knees and elbows will turn totally black; like a child playing outside... for the $20 cover per person, we expected the place to be a little cleaner perhaps like our gym, we felt it was a hygiene possibly a Heath hazard- issue... We hope that when we return again with our friends the place will look and feel more better kept. Although we really enjoyed our time, we feel good clean air and floors would be awesome! This place is a really fun way to burn off some calories on the weekend. It's a combination of a obstacle course and workout/crossfit fitness facility. It's $20 for all day play which is awesome because you can leave and come back. The obstacle course is smaller than it should be that included a ball pit, monkey bars, and tires. You can finish the obstacle course really quickly and you probably won't resort to the course for the majority of the time. Definitely bring a water bottle and a change of clothes because you will sweat and be thirsty. My personal favourite of Pursuit OCR is the ramp that you can run up. It has two different heights and I spent the majority of the time there. The rest of the facility included cryotherapy, rope climbs, free weights, and a plethora of monkey bars. read more

A big group from a gym that I go to went here to help train for Tough Mudder which is in September. Obviously everyone in this group was physically fit, including my sister and mother. They were able to go through the whole course like bosses, running up the walls, monkey bars, you name it. At the end of the course, there is a giant ball pit that you have to jump into. All of them jumped in and my mother landed where the ball pit wasn't filled properly and instantly broke one ankle and sprained the other. All of the gym members had to help her out of the pit as she could not move and the staff was not properly trained at all to deal with this situation. After reviewing photos from my sisters previous visit, we saw that the ball pit wasn't as full than it was in January and this was in March. For a place that claims to be an adult playground and that makes you sign a waiver you'd think that they would make sure everything is filled properly, or atleast foam under the balls, because whatever was under made everyone's feet and ankles hurt that day, they were all complaining after they landed. We will never be coming back as this place has taken 2 months of work and living life from my mother. Fellow yelpers, you've been warned about the ball pit. read more
