I cheated the system! Not really, but I thought I did! Their Chicken Hibachi Meal costs $13. My conflict was that I really wanted more vegetables. So! I got the Vegetable Hibachi meal instead $10, and I paid an extra $4 to add Chicken to it! So for only $1 more, I got everything that I wanted! Then I found out the chicken hibachi already comes with vegetables... Hey, you can't go wrong with more veggies! Each meal includes a sauce (either yum yum or sriracha), but since I got the chicken added on, I could pick out another, so I got both! Yum yum was okay by itself, but once sriracha got involved that's when my hibachi meal turned into a fiesta! As a Ryan B. mentioned below, a pretty solid hibachi meal. Loved the sriracha that came with it, and the vegetables were great!

This truck was close to my office today so I thought I'd give it a try. They were out of both chicken and steak, so I chose shrimp as my protein du jour. Overall, it was a solid hibachi style meal and the people at the truck were super friendly. I dinged them a star for the over cooked veggies. But I liked both sauces - a sriracha and a "yum yum" (well worth the 50 up charge to get both).

Started with their version of an Old Fashioned "Our Old Pal" which features squash infused bourbon. Now, who in their right mind would find that a good thing? The waiter said it was very subtle, so I had to try it. It was nicely prepared and tasted like an Old Fashioned. We had the Brussels Sprouts and charred Octopus for appetizers. The Sprouts were outstanding. Never had them prepared with blue cheese, apricots or toasted corn nuts. The Octopus and smoked sausage was also good, but I wouldn't order it again. For dinner we both wanted the chicken, which I have a rule against, so my daughter got that and I got the beef tips. The chicken was outstanding! The beef tips were good, but not great. Glad we came and gave this place a try.

The atmosphere was modern with a southern twist. I'm not going to lie, I chuckled a bit when I noticed my water glass said "Bless Your Heart". In Appalachian culture, this is actually an insult. We had a large group, but the service was excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and everything was brought out timely and correctly. My food was really good! It was brunch time so I had coffee, the "Mimosa of the Moment" which was an apple cinnamon, a biscuit with blueberry preserves, and the Southern Shakshouka. All were fantastic and I would definitely get again. I also thought the price was affordable for the quantity.

My server was great. The place is really lovely and I like there is now a parking garage just steps away. I started with a specialty sip cocktail - an Orange Cinnamon Bun Old Fashioned, and ordered 3 apps since they were half-priced for happy hour. The Biscuits for a Cause (2 with butter, jam and honey), Fried Pickles (chips with ranch), and Famous Fried Green Tomatoes (I don't normally like goat cheese, but these are served with stone-ground goat cheese grits) were all fabulous and I had plenty to take home after trying all. I had a glass of red blend wine with my entree, which was the Pan-Seared Salmon. My two chosen sides were the mashed potatoes and fried okra. The salmon was perfectly cooked; it was a great dish. I also got the Rosemary & Parmesan Breakfast Potatoes to go to have with my breakfast this morning. The service, food and atmosphere were all very enjoyable. The manager also helped out bringing food, and checking on me. I would return for another meal.

Every single plate was hitting. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked, seasoned well, and actually had flavor all the way through. The lobster ravioli was rich but not heavy, and the salmon was flaky and done right, not dry at all. What really made it though was the service. They were attentive without hovering, kept the drinks coming, and made it feel like a special night without being extra about it. For a birthday dinner, that matters. If you're going, don't go playing small. Order what you actually want. It's one of those places where you lean into the experience and enjoy it. Solid food, great service, and a good spot for something worth celebrating.
