Found these guys on Yelp in the midst of a panic attack after my iPhone screen decided it didn't want to turn on this morning. I'd initially chatted with Apple support, but was no help and had no GeniusBar appointments for the foreseeable future. GeekSquad at Best Buy also had no appointments for weeks. In retrospect, I should have brought in my phone here first. Brian was great, really friendly, told me it'd take about two hours to replace the screen, if that's what it needed. Turned out the issue was actually some moisture that had gotten in, and the screen turned on after they put it on the heating pad. Didn't even charge me. We have been using MacGuyz for a few years now whenever we have a problem with my laptop or our phones. The Mac guys fixed my computer, So far so good. The turn around time to fix my computer was about 4 days.

Took care of me right away (while I waited) and was very reasonable to repair my two iPhones.

Sorry to say I am disappointed in the quality of products sold by MacGuyz, the lack of backing of them. On 9/25 I had them replace my iPhone 6 Plus cracked screen. 3 months and 2 weeks later it started to flicker. I thought it was the battery problem Apple has been having so I made an appointment to get it replaced at the Apple store a week later. The day be for my appointment my screen completely went dark. When Apple looked at it they connected the phone to a computer monitor and the phone was on and I could see the iPhone screen on the monitor. They told me it was the screen I had gotten replaced. I have had the phone for years and the screen worked fine until I cracked it. Why would this one literally last 14 weeks?? So, I called MacGuyz and told them of my problem. Though sympathetic, they informed me my warrantee was 90 days. My screen broke literally 2 weeks after the warrantee. The response I got was, a new screen would be $99, but they would give it to me for $89 since I had been there! So, I am expected to spend a $100 every 3 to 4 months for new screens?? If it were 6 smonth or a year later, I'd understand more, but 2 weeks past the warrantee period and you're holding the hard line. Not good customer service! My son recommended me to you, I will relay my experience with him, others and here to hopefully warn others of what they are getting when the go to MacGuyz. So my iPhone 6+ just started losing signal out of the blue then just said no service, I thought it might be a cell carrier issue. So I had them diagnose it. It wasn't my carrier. I called apple they did a diagnosis over the phone, nothing showed up. I took it to MAC GUYZ in Redlands. They said it might be an antenna issue. So I asked them if they could open it up and see if they can explore a bit. ( price may vary ) I paid $20.00 as a returning customer. Jake Odekirk pinpointed my issue. He said it was my internal battery cover, blocking my signal. One day later I had my phone back. And it works better than ever. Thank you Mac Guys. I will. E back. I've never had a major issue with any of my Apple products. But an iMac drive decided to go bad, and I was in an emergency situation. They jumped right on the issue, replaced the drive, and I got my iMac back within a day (excluding a weekend). They called me at least 4 times to inform me of issues, the first call came about 30 minutes after I dropped off the computer. Only an expert could have fixed that issue, otherwise, I'd have a $2000 brick. They got to it and made it work. If you have a Mac, and you have an unsolvable problem, these guys are the best. So I've had my new iPhone 6S for under 1-year and have cracked and shattered my screen three times. Every time I take it to the MacGuyz they are kind, courteous and always accommodating. In 1-hour I have a new screen, pay under what it would cost for me to send it to Verizon for a warrantied (read: refurbished) phone and am now a "frequent offender" (which just means I get a discount for having to bring it back). Today I took my phone in for the third time, he gave me a recommendation for a better (more sturdy) phone case and even threw in a screen protector. We've also had our iPad screen fixed by them twice and I've never had an issue with their product (other than my kids are just too rough on our devices). If you ever need an Apple product fixed or repaired and enjoy the "small business" feel, go to them first! If they can't fix it, they don't charge you (happened to me with an old iPhone they couldn't bring back to life) - now THAT is customer service and I'll give them my business any day! read more

GREAT staff and service! Had an older slow running Mac, they suggested an update to a solid state drive. I did my best to convince them it was in need of more ram...however. So they upgraded my hard drive to solid state.Upon pick up they said if I got home and still felt it needed a ram upgrade, to bring it back and for parts only, NO labor charge they would upgrade my ram. NO body does that any more, outstanding service, and expertise. So I get it home, set it up and it is blazing fast, and is exceeding all my computer needs. As a staff, and I talked to several of them, they were knowledgable, friendly, and unwilling to oversell me!! Price was fair, they are quick, 2 days for a busy shop. I highly recommend. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I came in with a phone that had got some water damage that caused my screen to go dark, but everything else worked, including my home button. When I went to pick it up, the price was not what they told me and my home button no longer worked. They tried telling me it was the water that caused it, but I have screenshots in my phone from trying to power down my phone so I KNOW it worked. You can only screenshot (atleast from my current knowledge) using the home button and side button. I have to learn to screenshot without my home button now. THANKS FOR NOTHING. Had them fix an iPhone 11 screen that was cracked. Prior to going in my face unlock feature worked great but after their repair there was a bubble under the front facing camera and my Face ID unlock has become super unreliable and I've had to turn off the need attention feature so it has any chance of unlocking. Well, I trashed my iPhone 6 Plus screen. Called up, brought it in, and an hour later it was as good as new. The price was consistent with the market, but I 'felt' good doing business here. Nice people, but 2 stars because it took me 3 visits to get my cracked iPhone 5 screen fixed. After they replaced it the first time, I found that the screen was actually lifting up and not glued down all the way so I took it in to get that fixed. They told me that it was because the battery was swollen and they needed to replace the battery. I was ok with everything up until that point. When I got it back, I found that there were specs of dust everywhere underneath my screen, so I had to take it back and get that fixed as well. Once I got my phone back from the 3rd visit, the display on my phone fades out every once in a while. It only lasts for a few minutes, and I don't want to take my phone in again for the 4th time, so I learned to just live with it. read more
