I shattered my screen a year ago, and they repaired that screen a year ago. Due to a faulty supplier the screen started to lift off of my phone over a period of a year. As of recently I couldn't even answer my phone or make calls. I let them know and they replaced the screen with a better product from a better supplier for FREE. These guys are real gentlemen, and people you can trust. Also, great customer service. They remembered my name the moment they saw me, which was welcoming. And repaired my phone in under a half hour. Ok so this is a review pending......but I'm already impressed. I just dropped my iMac off, told them what was going on and it was taken in for a diagnostic. I was told I would get a call back by the next day with results. Well I was in my car on my way home not even 5 minutes later when they called me! The bad news, new hard drive. It is what it is. I gave the okay for the work. Was told that it could be ready potentially today but by tomorrow I would have it back. Even the possibility of today impresses me. Got home, talked to the hubby and realized maybe I need the better hard drive, called in quickly to get hold of the tech that's working on my computer. He's at lunch (everyone has to eat! I need his brain working at full capacity to fix my Mac! Lol) but the guy who helped me was very understanding of my panic and possible change of plan! A brief history: My wife has a habit of roughing up every phone she owns. Since she uses it for work as well, her phone gets put through the ringer (no pun intended...ok totally intended). Her latest and greatest piece of Apple technology, the iPhone 6s, took various tumbles since she bought it back in October 2015. The screen was cracked in several places, the screen protector was scratched and peeling, and various pieces of Scotch tape were barely holding it together. After hearing the unpleasant crunch of fragile glass breaking under her rather delicate fingers, she finally acquiesced and told me, "I have to get this thing fixed." I've driven by MacGuyz located on Redlands Boulevard numerous times and always made a note of the place just in case situations like this occurred. We went in the store and were greeted warmly with a pleasant smile from the young lady behind the counter. She took my wife's information down and gave us a quote and we left the 6s in the careful hands of MacGuyz. Now this is where the trepidation began. My wife is so attached to her phone that in the car on the way home she was frantically looking for it only realizing a second later that she had just left it at the store! She laughed at how this small piece of technology has really become a centerpiece to her life and I could only agree. Smart phones have pretty much become the centerpiece to most of our lives and I'm no different. So I'm sure you can understand that when I started reading about people taking their iPhones in to be repaired (not at MacGuyz but at other various locations) and coming back with an unusable phone, well, I got a little anxious. If my wife doesn't have her phone, she can't do her job and if something happened, there would be no way we could replace it in a meaningful amount of time. I left work and decided to swing by MacGuyz before going home and the phone was ready. I looked at the new clean screen and had to turn it on just to be sure it was my wife's. It looked brand new. Not a scratch, not a crack, just a clean display. I hadn't seen the phone look this good since the first day she bought it. I purchased a screen protector and they installed that quickly and efficiently as well. I think the quality of service and professionalism at this MacGuyz location is well worth the price (which some may think is a bit steep but really cheaper than buying a whole new phone). I consider myself very "techie" person I have been having a lot issues with my Mac I tried several times to fix it myself and I fail miserably. I brought my computer and they were not able to save all my information but they fix all the glitches and upload the new software that I was having so many problems to update. Rowyn is the man! I had an emergency situation with my phone's screen going black while on a family ski trip and was panicking because even though it was a vacation, I still needed to be able to take work phone calls. Drive down the mountain and took it in to MacGuyz. Rowyn took the time to explain everything to me and didn't try and sell me on work I didn't need. It was a three year old phone and it would have cost too much money to get all the wiring fixed when the phone was already as ancient as it was. He took my phone apart right away and got an answer to me quickly - suggesting it might be best to just replace it which I did. If only they sold phones at the shop I would have bought one from Rowyn because I appreciate his honesty and he charged me the bare minimum to take a look at the phone and assess the problem. Great place! Affordable, reliable, and knowledgeable! I-Pad froze up, Apple Store in Vic Gardens suggested trading it in + $400 for new one. I took my Mac in as I hadn't been able to download the last few OSs. They figured it was an issue with space on my hard drive but after determining the maximum capability of my older computer vs what I needed it for, they downloaded a program for me, cleaned it up, replaced a missing foot pad and returned it to me free of charge. They could have sold me something I didn't need and I wouldn't have been any the wiser, but they chose true customer service. Awesome place. read more

I had bought a new battery for my grandsons iPhone 5s planning to replace it myself (which I've done more than 6-8 times), but sadly I goofed up the new battery hold-down adhesive. I could order another from the internet, but that would take days, so I went, hat in hand, to the MacGuyz and rather shame-facedly asked to buy set of hold-down battery adhesives. Not only did the chap at the counter (I didn't get his name, regretfully) have one, but he cut off a length of a superior super-thin double-sided alternative adhesive and absolute refused to even take a buck for it. Now my grandson's iPhone is back in business, but in the future there's no doubt that I'll spare myself the grief and let MacGuyz do my iPhone surgery. read more

tldr; accused me of lying when i clearly was not. - i saw internal cracks for a split sec the moment i opened the replaced screen the first time. I cracked my macs internal screen so went to macguyz to replace it, they took $530 and gave me a broken screen in replace the first time. when i went to pick up my laptop, i checked it and immediately when i opened the laptop i could see an internal crack (it wasn't there permanently, it was just there for a sec when i opened the mac)but i ignored it then, thinking maybe they replaced mine w another less broken screen and i even asked if my mac has warranty (right after when i saw that there was an internal crack) then when i started using my mac for a month i could see those cracks peeking thru every now and then, i still ignored it. then suddenly my mac went all black. now after 40days, after my mac went all black i went to the store and said i could always see those crack peeking thru and they said they'll see and fix it. the next time when i went to pick up my mac, this person accused me of lying. i was telling him that no i saw the cracks even when i picked up my mac the first time but i ignored them. this person gave me no time to talk nor did i want to argue w him. i don't understand how he can straight up accuse me of lying ?? my mistake: should have for sure spoken up and been like hey i can already see a crack the first time i went to pick up my mac. - they definitely did not give me a new screen the first time (and i was okay w it as long as the screen was working, and honestly i thought they probably don't even give unused screens, idky i thought that even tho they charged almost the same as mac would charge for a new screen) after coming home the first time i thought to myself why would they charge $530 and give an used screen but me being me i didn't bother much. i don't even write reviews but this man accusing me of lying was just too much. i literally saw internal cracks the first time i picked up my mac, i just didn't speak up. read more

Had my iPhone 6s cracked screen fixed here and purchased a screen protector at the same time for around $200. My screen has now cracked again so I returned to have the(what I thought was the screen protector) replaced and it turns out they didn't put a screen protector on in the first place, I was just charged for one. And they wouldn't do anything about it but refund me $7 for the screen protector. read more
