"A" and I (finally) got married last month and we decided not go to with a wedding cake, but we each chose our favorite dessert instead. I chose macarons (of course) and he chose mini cupcakes. I'd been Instagram stalking Macarons A Go-Go for years, so our wedding was the perfect opportunity to finally order from them. And why just go with boring (but still great) round ones, but go with character ones instead? I'm a huge Studio Ghibli and tokidoki fan, so I requested Totoro and the tkdk honey bear, as well as a regular round one in salted caramel, lemon, and mango guava. They were super responsive and really patient when I couldn't make up my mind about flavors, characters, etc. They also delivered the macarons to our venue and set them in a display stand. They looked (and tasted) amazing! I am already looking forward to our next event so I could order more!!! read more

Hmmm what to say about Macaron a Go-Go (MAGG)? Well I'll be honest and I have an affiliation with the owner. I'm willing to admit this because well you want my honest opinion and you'll get it. But know this I'm no slouch when it comes to reviews even if I know you. As a matter of fact I'm giving MAGG their first 4-star rating (all are 5 at the time of this writing) You'll understand shortly. First off the creator behind MAGG, Van, is a connoisseur (bordering obsessed) of many things exotically sweet. If she decides to tackle things its with zest (like her Myer Lemon Macs) and reckless abandon (to my waste lines) but leaves you wanting more. Fortunately she did this with Macarons and now presenting it us so we are lucky for it. She's also a sweetheart to-boot. OK enough about that...now about these fancy cookies... At first the MAGG creations were so-so but after trial and error and hundreds of tastings later, I'm extremely satisfied to say that they are just a delight to enjoy. Every flavor I have tried has been on point. Myer Lemon, Spiced Pumpkin, Fleur Del Sel Caramel and Black Sesame were some of the standouts. The flavors stay true to their name and why wouldn't it be when it's fresh natural ingredients. She says she doesn't use food coloring and I'm just bewildered because they are not only a delight to eat but also look at with their vibrance and beauty (never thought I'd use those words to describe a cookie.) Texture wise the shell is crispy to a snap on initial bite moving inward to a chewy center and then finally the amazing flavored inner cream. I swear if I could "oreo" these cookies and lick out the cream I would but the eating them as a whole is what experience a macaron is about and MAGG does that well. Before I didn't even take notice of a macaron simply because they never really made an impression. Now that I have been re-introduced to them I have sought out and compared many others to MAGG and well they definitely hold their own if not blow out most Bay Area bakeries through the flavors. Now for the reason for the 4 stars, these damn things are on a rarity. You want to collect them as much as you want to eat them. Right now MAGG is only available through special order or in Burlingame Farmer's Market. I just wished there was more places to get them at or one place that had them available all the time since I'm not spoiled with tastings at gatherings anymore. If you are into Macarons then you will definitely need to check out Macarons A Go-Go. As a fringe benefit you'll also be supporting a local small business and great person. Highly recommended (when you can find them)! read more

Wonderful service, delicious macarons! We ordered 30 packages of macarons for a baby shower. They delivered them to us on the morning of the shower. We ordered the Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt, Salted Caramel, and Meyer Lemon. Several of our guests commented on how much they loved them. First, let me preface by saying that I am a huge fan of macarons. After having tried macarons from Lauderee in Paris and other Parisian specialty bakeries, it was difficult to hunt down good macarons in CA that even came close. Thank goodness for Macarons A Go-Go! Hands down the best macarons I've had! The macarons have a fluffy and light texture with just enough sweetness (not over powering with sugar like other places I have tried). In addition, the flavors are incredibly unique and exotic (black sesame, orange caramel, matcha...lychee raspberry, chocolate chili etc). My friend had recommended these macarons to me... and I loved them so much, that I ordered 100 macarons for my wedding last weekend. Van (the owner) was absolutely wonderful to work with. These macarons are an amazing addition to any event, or even just a treat without occasion. I ordered some for a tea party birthday for my daughter, and I was very happy with them. Each macaron is full of flavor without being too sweet, as many macarons are. The texture was a perfect balance of the crunch at the initial bite, with a nice chewy-ness in the middle. I ordered custom lady bug shaped macarons, which were raspberry nutella flavored. These lady bugs were adorable, they even had antennae. I've tried to make macarons before, and I don't know how she makes them shaped with such detail. It's truly art! The raspberry nutella was excellent. The green tea was also excellent, and had a solid green tea flavor which I very much appreciated. But my favorite was the orange honey salted caramel, which blew me away. These macarons are amazing! I've had Laduree macrons in Paris before and while I thought they were really good, I think the flavors here are better. My favorite are the orange salted caramel and the raspberry lychee. The fillings are super flavorful and the outside is got that nice soft shell. I don't normally go out of my way for macarons, but I would highly recommend trying these! read more

It's very rare in my opinion, to find a good bakery with consistent quality and at a good price. I've found all these and so much more with the macarons at Macarons A Go-Go. The cookies are always beautifully made and baked perfectly. The flavors are so innovative and creative, a delight to any taste buds I've had macarons at Bouchon, Laduree, and many other bakeries in Paris, and I will have to say that none of them have the quality and flavors I have experienced here. The Raspberry Lychee had real pieces of lychee in the filling, proving the freshness and the quality of the ingredients used. Some of the other flavors I love are the Orange Fleur de Sel Caramel, Meyer Lemon, the Costa Rican Coffee, and Chocolate (just to name a few). I highly recommend trying these macarons! These are the best macarons I've had in the bay area. Communication with the owner was super easy and she made and effort into coming out of her way to give me samples and I was surprised by that. Van makes the best macaroons this side of the Atlantic. She is fairly priced and so easy to work with. I have ordered these for corporate events and personal parties. Every time people comment on how delicious the macaroons are. The strawberry balsamic is out of this world, and you have to try the salted caramel. My very first time to order and taste macarons and I'm glad I ordered from them! Since it was for my daughter's 1st birthday I wanted it to be special. There were 3 flavors that my guests were able to try: Vanilla Olive Oil (which is my FAVE!), Salted Caramel and Meyer Lemon. My family started eating them even before the party started and I can't blame them. They all loved it! She even painted them pink & gold. So cute! I just wished I had known that they do not have a store in Burlingame, they only sell at the Farmer's market. The only challenge was the pick-up & delivery part of it. Macarons A Go-Go are incredible! Definitely the best macarons we have had in the Bay Area and even better than La Duree in Paris! Ingenious flavors, delicious fillings, lightly crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Beautifully presented without forgetting the importance of flavor first. Too many of the other bakeries/specialty shops that sell macarons seem to be emphasizing having every color of the rainbow. It may look impressive, but they simply cannot compete on taste. Definitely try out these macarons at the Burlingame Farmers Market. Hopefully Van will be getting these delicious macarons distributed more widely soon! read more
