Amazing macaroons! If you like Black Sesame, you HAVE to stop by at the Burlingame farmers market for these. It's the perfect bite, fluffy, not too sweet and just pure deliciousness! Unique sweets for sure!

We came on a Saturday around 7pm and there was no line but the place was lively, we got lucky and didn't have to wait, probably because most people were still at dinner. Fork ordered: Tiramisu and a latte The latte was good. Nothing to get excited over, but well made. The tiramisu is a standout. It has this nice crunchy chocolate shell on the outside with a smooth, creamy center and just the right hint of coffee. As a tiramisu fiend, this is one I'd absolutely come back for. Spoon ordered: French flan I don't usually go for flan, but this one is different!!! I do absolutely love the custard layer in a fruit tart, so imagine that with a firmer texture and a richer vanilla flavor. It sits in this perfectly thin, almost hidden pie-like crust. It's honestly divine and highly recommended. Before we leave, we typically get a treat for the next morning to have with our chai. I love the banana bread and Fork goes for the croissant. Overall, such a charming spot for dessert and coffee, especially if you can grab a table outside.

Last time I came it was a bit sour and I swore it off but decided to try it again and was glad I did! It was still delicious and came with a nice little piece of bread. Scarfed the whole thing down. The wait staff is polite although sitting outside they never checked on us or brought us more refilled water. Not sure if this is an outside thing or not. When I sat inside they constantly refilled our waters. Copenhagen is a classic place to grab a bite or a bit of coffee and pastry or dessert. It's a great place to sit and people watch. Their pastries are amazing, and the princess cake is absolutely to die for. It's one of those places you end up craving long after you leave. I stopped in for lunch one day and ordered what I assumed would just be a standard BLT sandwich. Somehow, it turned out to be one of the best BLTs I've ever had in my life. I honestly don't know if it was the bread, the mayo, or just the perfect combination of everything, but it was ridiculously good. I couldn't stop thinking about it afterward. What made it even funnier was that my assistant went a couple days later, ordered the same thing, and said the exact same thing without me even prompting him. That BLT is seriously something special. Love this place. It's such a staple of Burlingame Avenue and one of those local spots that just consistently gets it right.

Wait time: Practically no wait time waiting in line or for cookies after placing your order. Service: The workers were nice and greeted upon entry and were quick to put the order together. Order via worker standing behind the counter. Cookies: The 66% chocolate chip had big chunks of chocolate which the bitterness helped balance the cookie. The cookies n cream was a little sweet for me but had again pieces of Oreos inside with a nice texture. The chocolate peanut butter again had both chocolate and creamy peanut butter which didn't leave the mouth dry. The honey comb was a unique and different taste with the honeycomb providing a less common sweetness but can be overpowering. The toffee cookie had bits of toffee which again provided texture without being overly sweet. The oatmeal chocolate walnut cookie was my second favorite after the 66% dark cocoa due to the oatmeal again balancing the sweetness of the chocolate with the saltiness of the walnuts. Overall would recommend for a solid cookie with a fair price and the day olds were also extremely cheap for a better quality than you could get at other places.

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

The ingredients were all measured out for us. I appreciate the instructor taking the time to explain food science (e.g why European butter has a higher fat percentage/melts more easily when contact is made with skin, why we refrigerate dough). However, I do feel like there was a lot of time spent explaining this when we could have been working on making the croissant. I'd prefer if we just got succinct instructions and got sent on our way while fun facts about croissants and how different ingredients interact with one another are told to us. I've taken a baking class at Sur La Table where there are TVs placed around each perspective, so everyone can watch as the instructor works on her dish instead of awkwardly huddling around the table craning to get a peek at the proper technique. When I made my croissant at home, they were perfectly buttery and flaky. Baking Arts also printed out PDF instructions for us to take home. As for the selection of baking goods, I noticed a lot of novelty tools that caught my interest! They have a decent selection of food dyes and edible glitter/pearls that are perfect for decorating cakes and baking with.
