I called around and evidently they only made around 8 of the first gen Moto X, because no one in town had the part and it would have to be ordered in (I tried them all.) I decided to make the most of it and just go unplugged for a week, so I took my phone into the place that quoted the best price, ProFix. I was all prepared to be out of touch with the world for a week when the dude at ProFix asked if I would like a loaner phone while mine was waiting for parts. Yes please. Saved my butt. Even though I was all prepared for 20th century living, I actually received a couple important calls that week that would have been bad to miss. Btw, texting on a flip phone is absolute hell, but still better than nada. One small issue, but not enough to cost a star, is when I first showed up it was during business hours and the door was locked. Wasn't sure what was up and almost left, but the owner showed up right as I was about to leave. Looks like it might be a one man show, so maybe cut him some slack if he has to run out for lunch or something. Probably investing in a "Back in 5 Minutes" sign would be a good idea. In summary; best price, great service = 5 stars.

SCAM! Hobi, nice guy but he is a bonafide shady, lazy scammer. I spent $175 on a back-glass…read morereplacement for an iPhone 15 Pro. MORE than the Apple Store out of warranty replacement. Apple does a full replacement as well rather than just the glass back. Hobi did an awful job. When I got the phone back one corner of the glass was clicking in and out of place because he didn't use adhesive the first time to seal it (half of the job btw.) So it was loose and bound to break again. I went back in to watch him do the whole thing properly again, and it took him 5 MINUTES. He initially quoted me for "$220 but I'll do it for $180 as a discount." which I brought down to 160 but after his "extra fees" it still hit 175. I spent $175 on 5 minutes of labor that I HAD TO GO BACK AND MAKE HIM DO AGAIN PROPERLY, for a $15 glass back. He does a great job of ACTING as an honest "I don't want to overcharge my customers" reasonable guy. But, it's all a hoax. Right after he scammed me, I watched him charge a lady $40 to just put on a screen protector and buy a $5 phone case. He also does a "diagnostic" that runs you $55 to basically just open your phone up and clean the ports. Anyone could do that for the first time on their own in less than an hour with a pipe cleaner and microfiber cloth. Save your money, time and mental-wellbeing (main reason I'm writing this) by skipping out on this place. Any other 3rd party repair shop is better than this place. For anyone who decides to go based on the hundreds of fake reviews posted here, I pray for you and hope you read this one.

Well they did not & 60% of my data was gone. I was devastated for days until my wife suggested a third party repair shop. I reached out to a couple businesses and after speaking to Eric with iFixit, I thought it was worth a try. What did I have to lose? I dropped off my time capsule that apple told me I had completely erased due to holding the reset button in for 10 seconds (they also couldn't pull up any info off of it). They said it requires a network to operate and access the data which they could not do. Well Eric opened the hard drive and was able to directly access the files. I was amazed and so happy. Since the files are scattered he suggested I bring in my iMac and attempt to complete a restore of data which would put the files in the correct location. Eric was right and completely saved my digital life! I am forever grateful to them and his hard work. I was surprised at how reasonable the work cost too. Definitely give them a shot for any data recovery issues you may be facing. They know the "ins and outs".
