Bodhi and his crew carried out a very finicky circuit-board level repair on a very complex aviation GPS no longer supported by its manufacturer. The work was carried out cheerfully and quickly, and after a first attempt failed (due partly to misunderstanding of my somewhat obscure instructions) it was repeated successfully and at no additional charge (and the initial charge was extremely reasonable). I'd have no hesitation in going back to MacDaddy for any computer-related work (hardware or software, and not just Macs--equal expertise for Windows and LINUX ). And I'm happy to support a local business. read more

I thought my iPhone was dying and I took it into Mac Daddy to see if it might be fixable. After a few questions, it turns out I just hadn't downloaded a very big update and my phone was trying to download it when it was unplugged, so the battery was being drained. I was told to go home, plug in the phone and see if after the update - if it's still losing battery charge to bring it back. Et voila! Problem was solved. If it needs anything in the future, I'll be sure to bring it back to Mac Daddy. read more

I came in with a 2019 MacBook Pro and received a quote for $300 to replace the battery. I wanted to repair rather than replace but also asked the owner for the trade in or resale value as I was also considering replacing with a cheaper but more capable Mac mini. The owner said "I have no clue" so i got the battery replaced. After getting my computer back I took a minute to google the resale value which told me in seconds $300 and calculated trade value directly from Apple was an offer of $260. I really wish the owner was more informed on the products he services or could do a quick google. If I would have known, I wouldn't have replaced the battery, but had hope and trust for a small business like this... read more

In life you have two choices when it comes to repairing an Apple product: Go to the mall, pay for parking, and trudge past Yankee Candle Company, Wet Seal, and Forever 21 with all of their associated smells and noises to talk to a "genius" at the Apple Store, or: Take the scenic drive out to bucolic Sebastopol (Peace Town) and take your beloved Mac to Mac Daddy, the west county's signature Mac and Apple repair, resuscitation, and rejuvenation shop. I have had two Macbook Pros serviced at Mac Daddy over the past year. The service, prices, turn around time and, most importantly, the staff are exceptional in every conceivable way.
