I agree with almost all the reviews here, their customer service sucks and they all seem super snobby! The most recent time I went to this location I was trying to buy their holiday collection of brushes. I stood around the counter for a very long time and nobody even paid attention to me. As a matter of fact, a lady who was restocking or cleaning up was standing right next to me, and she didn't even bother to ask me what I needed. I ended up asking her, but she made it seem like I was so troublesome to deal with. She handed my bushes off to another sales rep. to ring me up. Pretty much it was, "Will that be all for you? It's $$$." and I left. Seriously, no sorry for the wait, thanks for the purchase or anything! The other time I came to this location, I asked the make up artist if they could try out their hello kitty collection on me because I wasn't sure what to get. Well, they told me they were busy, which they were not, and that they could only do one side of my face. WTF? So my best friend and I have come to a conclusion. After still feeling iffy about which foundation I wanted to purchase, he asked me if I wanted to do a face-demo (full application of the product). He showed me which products would go well with my skin including primers, water-sprays, and finishing powders. I was very pleased with his knowledge. I loved the products he applied on me, and ended up getting most of them. He was very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, he went above and beyond to make my experience at Mac a great one. I always go to either the MAC in Nordstroms or MAC PRO just because of all the bad experiences i've had at this one. Happened to be around this mall last night and decided to make a quick stop just because I was so desperate for my liquid foundation. And as always, the experience was horrid. First of all it took daaaaaays for someone to finally approach my friend and I, who were obviously waiting for help. Then finally when I asked the lady for the product I needed she looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about, so then I pointed and she said "oh, ok let me go see if we have that", and of course THEY DIDN'T! She had zero costumer service skills, along everyone else that was there last night. I'd understand if they were busy... but they weren't. Which leads me to believe this is a low-end MAC counter. This is for the Mac counter in Macy's. I had bought eyelash glue here after my makeup artist told me to purchase it from Mac for my prom makeup. When my makeup artist was trying to open it at my house, it wouldn't come out when she squeezed it. So she poked a hole in it and it squirt out everywhere. Even on my cat. She told me to take pictures of what happened and return it to the store. I go back a week after prom and received the worst customer service ever! The girl said "well maybe you shouldn't have squeezed it so hard." I told her I could show her a pic of how much it wasted and she laughed in my face. Rude. Never going here again. read more

This review is solely for Viki: I called a day prior frantically looking for someone to do my makeup for my engagement shoot as it had to be rescheduled. Viki assisted me over the phone and was very friendly and able to get me an appointment with herself! She KNOWS what she is doing! She made my eyes pop and the makeup was flawless! I felt so beautiful and never wanted to take the makeup off! She is a total sweetheart, there were a few customers that walked in and she greeted right away and assisted if needed then got right back to me. Damn I look good!! Lol! The hunt of where to get my makeup done for this wedding I'm going to be Maid of Honor in is officially over!! I went to two different makeup artists that specialize in wedding makeup and both those paid trials, I left unhappy. I decided to try MAC out. I called and made an appointment at 10:00am. I got there at 10:00am sharp and Krystal the store manager greeted me and was all ready for me! First off, Krystal's makeup on herself was flawless which made me have positive vibes already that my makeup would be too. The excitement was real! On top of getting my makeup done, I also wanted to learn how she does my makeup hoping to use the things I learned in my everyday makeup. I explained that to Krystal and she was totally down to explain everything she does to me! I told her that I'm not an expert with makeup and I stick to browns and probably only do my makeup 4 different ways which really those 4 different ways all look the same! Haha! I told her I would still like to stick to the browns but am willing to go outside the box a LITTLE. The magic begins...she started off with asking what type of skin I have in order for her to pick out the right moisturizer and foundation (this was a plus already because the last two makeup artists never asked me those type of questions which means they didn't customize the makeup they did on me to fit me and my skin type). She matched me PERFECT to a great feeling BB creme. She then taught me how to contour my face with bronzer, blush and this gold highlighting shimmer stuff (excuse that I don't know all the makeup terminologies). When I say taught, I really mean hands on taught. She would do one side of my face and I would try doing the exact same thing on the other side of my face. I told her that I wanted my lipstick color to be like the mauve matte color that Kylie Jenner wears. She explained that it would look different on me because I have a darker skin tone and she will find the closest thing to that look that will go good with my skin color. And of course Krystal succeeded on that as well! She's bomb!!! The last thing I told her was that I wanted fake eyelashes and I wanted eyelashes that would make my lashes full and natural looking. Keep in mind I have only worn fake eyelashes three times in my life and wasn't a fan. Krystal said she knows exactly which ones to put on me. She put them on me and before I looked in the mirror she said I would be obsessed. OBSESSED I was!! They looked so good on me and made me interested in wearing fake eyelashes more often! Thank you Krystal for today! It was so much fun and I learned so much and I am so relieved that I found where to go to get my makeup done for all my future special occasions! P.S. The workers can make more of an effort to communicate with the customers. I went there about a week ago on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy only about 4 ppl browsing (including myself), maybe it felt busy b/c there were only 2 workers at the time and one was stuck doing somebody else's make up. Idk if it's scheduled but if you have an appointment for a complete makeup session you would think they would add another worker, since he/she will be attending to that one customer. Anywaysssss ! I didn't get greeted at the door (no biggie). I really needed someone to help me pick my color for a concealer. I stood there in front of the concealers waiting for someone to help me. But like I said one of the workers was stuck with the other customer doing a complete makeup session. the other worker was talking to another customer, so I wait my turn. And after like 15 minutes I finally got her attention. She told me what color would go perfect as a concealer but they couldn't find a tester so she said she would find it and be back. After about 5 minutes she finally came back and told me to sit on the chair and she would apply it. So I did end up liking the color she applied at the moment (with all those bright ass lights) I looked flawless, so I thought I would take it. I wait what feels like 10 minutes in front of the register to buy the concealer. Nobody is even looking at me ! I asked the worker if I can just purchase it and she said I'll be right there. Anywho ! I purchase it. Expecting it to be the the color she initially said would fit my color. The next day i applied it and it looked so yellowish ! Not even close to what it looked like at the MAC store when she applied it. I looked at the numbers of the concealer and she gave me the wrong one ! Idk how or why but she DID ! I returned to the store to get a refund and no surprise the workers are just there ! Not saying hi not interacting. I just asked for a refund and she said "okay" and that was the only word that came out her mouth ! No "thank you" or "wanna try a different color on?" NOTHING ! I normally swing by the Mac store that opened by Target in Oakridge but today something lured me towards the Mac stand in Macy's. Probably the fact that I was running a shoe errand for Mamabear. I came in looking for a darker maybe muted lippie and had questions about the MAC Select rewards program [left with 0 points]. I have an issue looking for lippies since I gravitate moreso towards pinks and reds but I was looking for a deeper color. Similar to the more recent liquid lippies from Anastasia, Jeffree Star, & Kat von D. I can't think of words to describe what I wanted - let's say early 90's liner shade, darker than the normal Kylie Jenner looks but more cool toned than warm. Does that help? It sure helped the artists at this location. The shades swatched on my arm went from Twig to Del Rio, mattes to amplifieds. They assisted me in leaving with a lipliner in shade Stripdown since I already have Nightmoth & Morning Coffee. I might actually come back for Whirl & Spice just because I really wanted it but couldn't justify a random buy. I also left with a matte lipstick in shade Stone. Imagine that, Stripdown + Stone, or today's look, Morning Coffee + Stone. I was helped by 3 of the artists here even though they were busy helping others, they were attentive enough to make sure I received the assistance or opinions I needed which wasn't very much since I knew what I wanted to leave with already. The new MAC rewards system is vague and doesn't make sense to me so I asked the cashier ringing me up. She and a couple others didn't seem to really know how to explain it to me/have information on it either. They told me to download an app but they had no idea which. They said to show them a receipt or order and they could add the points for you but ... they just rung me up and had me leave with 0 points. I'm still a little lost so I'll have to call customer service but other than that the staff here I've always found helpful. read more

Yay!! An actual MAC store is in Oakridge which means more makeup and experts to help you. I walked in for the first time to buy my usual items and trade in my recyclables for free lipstick (back to MAC deal). The store is next to Yankee Candle across from HM. I gotta give props to Gwen (the manager?) for being so kind and helpful during my visit. She had great knowledge on lip color and I ended up buying 3 awesome lip liners from her suggestions. Store is very clean and I will be coming here now instead of the Macys counter where they have great service and more products in stock. read more

This location has terrible service! I came in on a Friday afternoon with my sister. We weren't greeted or asked if we needed any type of help. We stood around staring at the workers trying to get some assistance with lipstick. When I went up the counter, they finally greeted me but still didn't help me because they ran to assist some new customers that had just walked in. That should have been my cue to walk over to the Macy's counter. Macy's is usually my go-to location because they've never given me a problem and one of the workers knows I'm always there for new collection releases. I had to chase down a employee and interrupt their conversation with one of the new customers to finally get my lipstick and leave the damn store. I'm so glad they finally added a MAC store in Oakridge mall. This is a nice location, with easy access from the target entrance, the theater/food court entrance, or you can cut thru Cheesecake Factory or Forever 21. I've only been in here a few times, to pick up my usual needs. They're usually busy, which is good for business... But even when they're busy I've never felt "ignored". Someone has always gotten to me when they could. They are really good about getting me what I need, always asking if I need anything additional, and the girls have made some good suggestions to my shade choices that I really like. Pros: Gorgeous stores, really friendly staff, Mac make up is great. Cons: Understaffed- appointment was at 11. Got seen at 11.30. The girl doing my make up rushed through it. I told her it's my bridal shower so I was hoping she would be patient and understand it's a big day for me. She did a few weird things like only priming around my mouth...layering 4 types of bronzer...not knowing which color lips to match with which blush and eyes..we didn't even converse. it was just a really really awkward experience To top it off...this last bit is important They now charge $50 for the actual service. I absolutely LOVE this MAC! Gwen and Sergio are amazing not only with their costumer service but also with their knowledge of make-up and hygienic upkeep. Gwen did my make-up for Halloween this year and I looked damn near flawless. People actually mistook me as an actual women. Of course I was Lana Del Rey so Gwen made me look fierce but classy! I had also acquired a rather nasty sunglasses sunburn over the summer and she helped erase that right off my face! These people are GORGEOUS and FABULOUS! This review is for Brittney at the MAC Oakridge location. Recently there was an event at Oakridge where they showcased new colors and Brittney was the artist for my daughter. I was so impressed by her!! She did such an amazing job and my daughter is a picky lady. Brittney was so thorough and explained every color and technique as she went along. As a makeup junkie I'm always rubbed the wrong way when an employee tries to sell me on products I don't need or or when they lack basic product knowledge when I ask simple questions about them (like what finish or Coverage a foundation has). However at this location all of the employees are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! I initially went to Oakridge on my lunch break to get my usual Nars blush in Torrid; but unfortunately they were out and no one at Sephora paid me any attention (which is unusual at that location) so i decided to take a stroll over to MAC to look for a mascara i'd been wanting to try. A sweet girl by the name of Zoe greeted me as soon as i walked in, i explained to her that i had come in for mascara but really NEEDED blush; something as close to Torrid as possible. So i showed her the peach/coral blush and she walked me over to their selection and chose a few for me to see. I ended up choosing PeachTwist. She then asked me if i always used a shimmery blush; which i do because i don't really wear eye makeup with the exception of mascara and eyeliner. She then recommended their Mineralize Blush which is a bit more matte. Also picked up some mascara! About $80 later I walked out; extremely happy. Had to ask her name today because she's so friendly and has great customer service skills. I work in retail, and I like to treat my customers well, so that they keep coming back. You keep friendly people on staff, like her, and the customers will keep coming back! I love my ruby woo lipstick, and viva glam, unfortunately, plenty of pout lipstick would easily come off. I usually acquire my MAC makeup from a friend, who matched me, bought it for me, and sent me away feeling like a million bucks. I had always heard that MAC stores had pretentious and uptight sales people -- just to be clear, I have never actually stepped foot in MAC before so I shouldn't have judged off of others opinions. I really wanted some change in my routine and decided to take a step into a fairly empty MAC store which is unusual for me to see, they're usually packed! I didnt have the slightest idea of what my color foundation was, but I did know what type of foundation I wanted. Paul was so much fun to chat with! I let him know my basic routine, what I enjoyed about my makeup and what I didn't, I let him know what I was there for and he worked with me to streamline my routine to best fit my needs. I was in and out within a decent amount of time, he matched me perfectly to my shade.. and he suggested some fun holiday products that were out that I needed anyway!
