I Scheduled a formal updo for my civil wedding for Long Beach exchange location. I got a text and…read morecall the night before saying it had to be rescheduled due to hair stylist attendance issues and got rescheduled to different location LB TOWN CENTER which is already an inconvenience because i had to drive farther out due to the fact that there was no available hair stylists that knew how to do a formal updo in lb exchange location for the time I had my appointment for. If a service is going to be advertised and offered then There should be someone on duty at all times to give those services being offered. Ended up in town center location and the hairstylist (Janet O) was really nice and all but she wasn't well qualified to achieve a SIMPLE half up half down style with curls. She blamed my hair for being too thick (which it really isn't) and said my hair wouldn't stay because i told her i had just washed and blow dried it before I came. She was really nice and tried and tried to do the style but couldn't do it . She attempted many times for the half up half Down and I sat there for nearly 2 hours and finally just went with Hollywood waves because I seen she simply couldn't do the style I was hoping to get. I ended up disappointed on not getting what I was hoping for but I didn't want to be rude or mean to be honest but I did not like how the Hollywood waves hairstyle came out at all . I didn't want to be rude and make her feel bad and At that point I was running late wanted to leave because I was waisting time and had to get to my ceremony. I had to end up fixing my own hair at home which is crazy after I paid for a service to get my hair done on my special day! I was freaking out because it was already all crispy from all the hairspray she applied on and it pretty much made my day very stressful and I ran late to my wedding ceremony because of this situation! I guess you get what your pay for, ladies please save your self the stress and book else where. The point of this review is to bring awareness if a stylist isn't well qualified or doesn't how to do hair styles then she shouldn't be doing formal updo hairstyles!

I was open to assistance, but I already knew what I wanted, so I didn't really need any help. But, she very politely and genuinely offered to show me a bath bomb without being pushy in the slightest. Eden was one of the most present, polite, and warm employees I've had the pleasure of interacting with. I'm getting ready to go on a trip this weekend, and her thoughtfulness actually inspired me to purchase a few more Lush products to take as gifts. Ummm, YES, I do want to recommend this business, Yelp…read more PARKING: Huge lot that's a shared space with home goods, staples, and other businesses. You will always find parking. PRODUCTS: I love that unlike Sephora, Ulta has cost-effective options in a separate section. Some of the products can be tested, but unfortunately not all. That's my only qualm. PERFUME SELECTION: Ulta in-person only has a select few designer brands (Prada, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, etc) compared to Sephora of which has an entire wall dedicated to every single line of a vast amount of perfume brands. However, I specifically came to test the brands I mentioned above & appreciated the little cup of coffee beans to recalibrate your sense of smell. Recommendations: Prada Paradoxe (lovely packaging & invigorating scent) and Gucci Bloom (one of the most beautiful floral scents I've ever had the joy of experiencing). Honorable mention to Kate Spade New York & Marc Jacobs Daisy Love (my fave scent ever but it just doesn't stay very long). DESIGNER MAKEUP: You'll find the popular designer brands like Tarte and Clinique. Tester items are always stocked & it can't just be me who enjoys having a little "makeover" by sampling products on my bare skin. HAIR CARE: Huge variety of hair products & tools, but unfortunately most hair products don't have an available tester. Unsure why. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Employees will come to you if you look like a lost puppy (it's me, hi, I'm the puppy it's me) but do their own thing & are receptive & friendly to questions about products. ATMOSPHERE: You just feel pretty in here. The lighting is 5000K (lightbulb daylight colour) so makeup will look as if you were outside. Love you Ulta! I love that I can come here & visit Ulta, get Chipotle, buy pens from Staples, and pick up groceries from Sprouts all in the same trip.

I originally planned to buy online using an influencer code, but decided to shop in store to support the associates with commission. Unfortunately, the customer service was extremely disappointing. I knew exactly what fragrance I wanted, but barely received assistance. After purchasing Christian Louboutin Fétiche, I was told they could not fill the atomizer because they "only had a tester," despite the tester being full and the atomizer only requiring 5mL. No alternative solution or accommodation was offered. I followed up multiple times and Assistant Manager Brandon repeatedly gave the same unhelpful response and never followed through on calling me back as promised. The entire experience felt dismissive and frustrating. I came in ready to spend money and left feeling undervalued as a customer. I'm honestly considering returning the fragrance altogether.

To the phenomenal Toni at the MAC counter, NordstromNewportBeach--thank you for giving me back my…read morereflection I waddled up to the counter yesterday feeling every ounce of third‑trimester weight and worry. Sleepless nights with a toddler, fifty new pounds, and zero recent photos had left me convinced the glow everyone talks about had skipped me entirely. My only goal was a replacement eyeliner. Toni changed everything. He noticed the fatigue in my eyes and--without a hint of rush--invited me to sit. he made the busy store feel like a quiet studio. He asked gentle questions about how I wanted to feel when I looked in the mirror, then built a routine around those answers. One by one, he placed products in front of me, demonstrating each stroke and blending trick until I could mirror the motions myself. He never spoke down, never pushed a single item--just taught, encouraged, and celebrated every small "wow" moment as my face began to brighten. Somewhere between the soft‑focus concealer and the finishing mist, something shifted. The swollen cheeks and tired eyes were still mine, but Toni showed me how to see past them to the woman who's growing a life and still deserves to feel lovely. When he handed me the mirror at the end, I saw her clearly--and my husband saw her too. The time he spent was more than a makeup lesson or him selling me an eyeliner ; it was a reminder that compassion and artistry can lift a spirit as surely as mascara lifts lashes. Toni, you gave me a transformation that settled far beneath the surface, and the confidence I carried out of the store is still echoing today. I walked out with an entire bag of new products a fresh start and for the first time in a long time I didn't feel good, I felt incredible. If anyone is searching for more than products--if you need patience, sincerity, and the kind of talent that reveals the beauty you've forgotten--sit with Toni. Let him hand you the mirror. You might just meet yourself again, the way I did.

They even have items that are relevant to current social trends like Disney princesses and Mandalorian. Summer scents are great. Men's selection has a great stream-lined look, and simple in its presentation. It is a bit pricey though, especially for the type of store. My only gripe is having the rewards app. Not only to the points expired, but they expire very quickly. I spent quite a bit in May for a large purchase had over 400 points and come back in June and the points are completely wiped out because I didn't use them within a certain number of days that's a little much for the amount of money that you're spending. So unless you shopped several times a month, it's not really worth it to have the app. I don't even get coupons in the mail or emails with it. That's kind of disappointing, especially since I just made another purchase for over $100. We purchase items not only for body and bath care but also for our laundry.
