I brought my daughter here for make up application. I was told over the phone when making an appointment that the make up application would be free with purchase of $60 worth of products. When I took my daughter for make up application I was not told otherwise, and the make up artist told me the same thing about the $60 purchase of product. However that was not the case and I was charged $60 for make up application plus products which was well over the $60. Meanwhile a lady who walked in the store got make up applied by make up artist because she walked to each type of make up ie: foundation, eyeliner, lipstick, blush and asked for assistance on application. She had a FULL make up application for FREE with out the obligation to purchase anything nor application fee. read more

I would like to give a shout out to *Miss Brooke* and thank her for the incredible customer service!!! My favorite lip glass color was out of stock in several stores in the region (including online). Brooke told me that when it came back in stock she would call to let me know. I thought it was a kind gesture of her to be willing to put forth the effort to contact me, but didn't think anything would actually come of it. However, to my surprise I received a call from Brooke approximately 1 week later telling me that the color I was looking for is being discontinued :o( , but their store received a few of them and she set them all aside for me :o) It is not everyday you experience such high quality customer service. No customer service, I went on Thursday during the day and it was not busy. 2 Customer service reps and neither acknowledge me or looked in my direction, I tried to get one to help me but never even looked my way or should I say, pretended not to look my way. The store is very small, there is no way they didn't see me. I stood by the new lip polish holding the color in my hand, nothing! 1 customer in the store and all I wanted was a lipstick, I knew the color, it would have been an easy sale. well to from long to short, 3 months ago i got dumped over a text... Like all girls when you really liked or possibly love someone you get into a depressed stage... well i was in that stage for about a month... During the time i dated this person i hardly wore make up, i gained weight and over all i was the type of girl that said " if you like me with make up you'll get the worst of me and if you like me without make up you'll surely get my best." so i was with natural beauty half of this relationship. and of course i went from a size 3 to a 7 in the 5 months i was dating this person of which i knew for 5 yrs. he dumped me 1 WEEK before my BIRTHDAY! so i was devastated. then i went to vegas when i turned 21 and when i was putting on my going out make up my friend comment on how beautiful i looked, and joke around by saying "fuck if you would of looked like this maybe Eric would of stood with you" of course i got hurt but i thought maybe shes right! then after i got home from vegas i decided i wanted to change my look i wanted to blossom so that if that guy ever saw me again it wouldnt be make up less or fat lol.. so like me i am a pre-med student so i never have time for nothing.. and i finally got a day off and decided to hit the arcadia mall. me and my best friend went to dave and busters and got drunk.. we later went to spencers and bout big yard cups and walking back to the car we went through Nordstrom drunk i notice MAC. the girls laughed and asked if i came from Vegas and i said no and was looking around, i usually bought my compact and foundation here but i never really talked to the girls because they really gave me a impression of cockiness . but i always wanted to look like them.... Little did i know i met the most AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL ASTONISHING woman there. .."Felis Cabrera" we chatted and i told her about my experience in how i got dumped and how i wanted to change my look. She was perhaps the most HELPFUL employee there. She honestly gave me so much confidence and self esteem that i always go to her. She honestly changed my life, and i am so grateful that i met her that day because she honestly gave me more than self esteem she gave me inspiration to be more beautiful... She helped me with my eyes and how to apply make up.. honestly i bought so much stuff that all i have is mac now lol. she kept me updated on the gift sets and everytime i went she always showed me how to apply the make up or what was in style... I hardly sleep since i am always studying but i will not lie and say the 4 hours of sleep i get a day i wake up 30 mins earlier to do my make up. cause i told myself one day i will met that dude i dated and he will see me like this and BAM he'll regret letting me go.. With felis's help i did gained confidence, i lost about 18 pounds i am now back to a size 3/5 and i look even HOTTER than ever.. and it isnt the make up its the enjoyment of practicing my make up. and that makes me look hott! :) Everytime i need something or i get inspired by a look i go to her and she is more than pleased to help me achieve the look i want. she goes over the steps and i even have her under a personal contact so if i ever needed help she is just a text away. And the more i went and got to know her better, believe me or not she is the most down to heart girl there she is a precious gem to MAC because she actually loves her job and you can tell when she helps you, she isnt trying to pressure you into buying things you dont need or just there to help a customer and get a commission. we usually spend 30min - 1 hour together and honestly she never is in a rush to go to the next client unless its a schedule client. Felis, if you get to read this words can never express the happiness i now feel. especially when people compliment me in how beautiful i look... and the day that dude see me i swear you'll be the first person i text :) Associates like felis are hard to find. she isnt rude shes magnificent and very talented!!! AND MAC SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO HAVE HER AS AN EMPLOYEE. if its a slimmer nose, face, bigger eyes etc Felis knows her stuff and will shock you with her talents cause she did to me haha... so if your looking for a better you or even trying to do something new i recommend Felis at nordstrom Arcadia MAC because honestly that kind of associate she is will make you feel like you known her for years and i guarantee you'll love the way you look when you leave that store! read more

This is for the MAC store located in the shopping center. NOT NORDSTROMS MAC. I've visited this store a few times. The workers are rude and seem like they don't want to be bothered. Each time I did make a purchase after waiting over 20 min. They certainly don't greet you as you walk in. Today I walked in and they were not very busy yet I waited for 15 min and no one helped me. I came in to exchange a product I told the guy I wanted to exchange and buy some other stuff, he took my product and the receipt and he went behind the counter and started fixing his brushes in that belt pouch they wear, and he said "sorry I just had to fix my brushes" I was like OK, then he comes and tells me, sorry our computers are down and out we can't do returns, but he said I could still buy the other stuff I needed I said no it's OK thanks, I'll just return it to the mac store where I originally bought it (Torrance where they always give great service). I would rate this store with 0 stars if I could but aside from the employee im about to rant about I give them a two because there was other employees assisting other people and offered to fetch any item I was looking for or any questions which was very surprising for how most MAC stores go as... So this employee, I didn't get to catch her name but her face is imprinted in my mind including her red afro looking hair. Were barely approaching the entrance and this girl is watching me I mean WATCHING ME from behind the counter and I see her stare me down sooo badly. Literally trying to catch every detail about me. So I try not to be rude and smile at her and just say hello so she walks up to me and asks if I need help but she just looks at my face and stares. Like girrrl not even my boyfriend does that. So I said no. Why would I want help from someone who is soo rude and makes it obvious she doesn't want to help me. I started coming to this MAC store a couple of years ago and the minute I walked in, I received a warm welcome and the assistance I needed in order to leave a happy and I signed myself up to be MAC member than Im not too sure what it is, but they send me coupons and other cool stuff. BUT, as the saying goes...It takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. I recently came here on a Saturday morning with my daughter and when we walked in, there were already a few people in the store. It's ok...I understand Im not going to be the only one there. But after being there for about 10 minutes we STILL had not received any courtesy. No "do you need help with anything?" not one "I'll be right with you." So I go to the counter where I see a man with some FANTASTIC looking make up, and ask him to assist me with trying on a lipstick. So he comes out, cleans the lipstick so I can try it on, and hands it back to me...then leaves. I'm sorry, but that is NOT the kind of service I deserve when I am willing to pay $23.00 for a lipstick. So I suck it up and move on to the eyebrow section. By this time we've been here for about 15 minutes when a BRAND NEW customer walks in and IMMEDIATELY gets a "Can I help you?" from a staff member who clearly knew that me and my daughter had been in there first. So that was it. I left and took me and my money with me. I will NOT be returning to this location to buy any MAC products and I strongly advise anyone reading this to go to the Pasadena Location on Colorado Blvd. in Old Town. Buying cosmetics in Nordstrom is some times hard because most cosmetic counters only have one person working. You'd have to wait there forever for somebody to talk to you. However I came in and the very nice Oliva helped me match my foundation. She got it just it just right! She asked me questions and I gave her my concerns. She was very informative and helpful. Let me tell you they give way better customer service in the Mac store NOT at Nordstrom. They are actually willing to help you, some days are okay but they are actually willing to help even if I know they don't feel like helping. They're more considerate I can tell you. Other Mac stores I have been to, I had no service no great customer service other than the grove. I go here often and they helped me find my actual nude lip color that matches my lips. I go here more often than the Mac store on Colorado blvd because I don't feel like paying $9 for parking, and it's just more convenient. I've had a mixed experience here. For the most part the customer service is awesome, especially if the girl with the bright orange hair is working (love her). Every once in a while though, I run into one of the snobby girls and wonder why they're even in retail if they're going to blatantly ignore customers. Other than that this Mac counter is pretty good. I've also noticed that I tend to get more attention if I'm wearing makeup opposed to if I'm bare-faced with my hair in a bun. read more

I had the WORST experience at this location today. I was totally ignored by sales staff due to it being busy and when a sales person became available she went to another customer who arrived after I did. I finally left and went to another store. Do not go to the Santa Anita location, they have terrible customer service and they are extremely rude. Bad attitudes and even worst personalities. I will NEVER go to this location again. If I had not been a MAC connessuier from years of great experiences with the brand, I would be through with MAC after today's experience.
