    Shitty valves from Mabbco
    Matt J.

I bought a supposedly 5.7 350 along with moly rings and high volume oil pump from Mabbco on 5/9/2022 at the price of just over $1900 After looking it over and checking the toque on the bottom end. I found 2 that weren't correct. I go to install the oil pump and the casting was bad they sent me a new one rather quickly. Once the pump arrives I bolt up my pan check the rockers I prime the motor getting 50psi with the drill. I noticed a few rockers were not getting any oil. This is when I found 3 bad lifters and one rocker arm. No big deal $50 later I'm good to go I thought. I drop the motor in my boat a few weeks later. At this point I have it installed ready to run I get it to start by it idles horribly I double check everything but found nothing wrong. At this point I do a compression test and found that I had one cylinder at 90psi on the left bank the right side was all under 100psi. Fearing the worst I pulled the motor back out. I get to the point of pulling the plugs out and noticed some rusting on several plugs. Take note this motor only has and 3 minutes or less actually running terribly. I at this point pull off the cylinder heads and this is where the nightmare begins. The cylinder heads which are 305 head's supposed to be a 350. Looked absolutely horrible lots of corrosion. (I'll have plenty of pictures at the end) I cleaned the heads and pulled some of the valves and I couldn't believe the terrible valve job that was done along with valves that were pitted beyond use. I couldn't believe I paid money to this company. Once I had both heads off cleaned and inspected I called Mabbco numerous time and emailed them I received nothing. I'm a professional mechanic I've rebuilt numerous motors and have never seen this bad of a job this place should be ashamed of themselves.. I had to replace every valve and lap them in every single one. Please stay away from this company their workmanship is 100% unacceptable along with their customer service. This business doesn't deserve a 1 star review.

Picture for proof of Quantity available on eBay.

eBay said they have more than 12 available I had to call to inquire about shipping and was told they were 4-6 months behind when I told the guy their listing said more than 12 available he argued with me and was rude. However this is a blessing no what I see all the reviews.

When I walked around digging through the wrecks I came back. He commented on how long I was out there. I'm looking in trucks too smashed to open up and I have a list of parts that I need. Not that it's any of his business. I put a handful of relays on the counter. He quotes $13 for the big one. I can buy 4 brand new relays on Amazon for $13.90 delivered to my house. The little ones he quoted $7 each. I can buy 4 of these brand new if Amazon for $11.99. I asked about a truck seat. First he Saud an electric seat with a console and manual on the passenger side was $120. Then he quoted $140 for a manual set up with all 3 pieces. I asked why manual was more expensive. Then he went up to $143 and $153. I felt like the man was just trying to screw me for his own personal reasons. It was not the first time an employee there was over harging me. The first time a manager it owner caught them and stopped it. He was not around yesterday. Too bad. I will be taking my money elsewhere. ‍

Anyway I found myself trying to locate two Tee-Unions that needed today, but most of the Truck Parts Dealers in Tyler all closed at 5:pm or earlier. I found Rush Truck Center in Tyler, TX to open until 7:30 and it was on my way out of town. What I found was the "Shop" is open until 7:30 but "Parts" closes at 6:PM normally. I said "normally", as pulled into their parking lot Chris was locking the door and heading out. I called out to him that I was need of a couple connectors, he turned around opened the door and told me to come in. He opened the parts department to a non-commercial truck owner, a guy with a small motorhome that needed a couple of inexpensive parts. It's hard these days to find someone that will do the right thing let alone a business with employees willing to help you out. Thank you!!

They recommended two places, the other shop, who eventually repaired the issue, didn't call us back. Until I called begging after being deserted by Rush. So first, the first guy arrived without the proper plug-in for testing. Based on a guess, he sent the TCM, transmission control module, out to be repaired. This was after he borrowed a pad and tried it. It was not the TCM. That company cleared the code and sent it back. This took two weeks. Next, they tried another pad. Each time, I had given them the trouble shooting guide to determine the issue. The 2nd man they sent went through half of the guide and determined it was wiring. He was directed to borrow a 2nd pad and try it, then take it back. He had said he was being sent somewhere else where the next day. He left everything unwrapped and disconnected. We didn't realize no one was coming back until I received a call to pay the bill by entering my credit card into a website. No bill, no explanation of what was done, nothing!! Not only did they not take correct actions to determine the issue, but when they couldn't, they just threw their hands up and gave up without
