What a wonderful unit....we walked through the front door and all we could see was the beautiful blue Ocean. Went to the Lanai immediately to take it all in. Everything was there that we could need to feel right at home bonus items included beach chairs, Iron and Iron board, beach towels even a hair dryer. The unit was very nicely appointed with Corian Counter tops that go well with the new tile floors and new appliances. The furnishings had a tropical theme and lovely Hawaiian prints.. Lots of space and hangers (yeah) in the closet. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well with the lanai door and bedroom window open allowing a comfortable breeze and the peaceful sound of the ocean blowing through the unit. We walked everywhere including a short one to Sugar Beach for a longer walk on the lovely beach. In the other direction it's a short walk to the Wharf where you will find shops, restaurants, deli's, my favorite the open restaurant/bar Beach Bum and the wonderful Maui Ocean Center, the best Aquarium. Oh and the Sunrises over Haleakala were spectacular, what a way to start your day. Overall the entire area had a very local feeling without the hustle of a crowded tourist location. Yet it was a short drive to larger shopping areas and centrally located to all the must see spots on Maui. Sigh....wish I was still there. read more
