Whenever I am in Maui, I stay at the Wailea Beach Villas. It is a beautiful place to stay. They villa that my boyfriend rents is so beautiful. It has a balcony that looks out toward the ocean and the family pool. The woman who owns the villa is great. She is always available for questions, leaves us lovely gift baskets and notes every time we visit. The grounds are very well kept. There are flowers are everywhere. The security is also excellent. The security guard is really great with faces and generally remember your car and face after the second day of seeing us. The pools are always very clean, as well as the gym. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Maui,

I rented M-311 or sea view sanctuary for 3/15/2020. Due to the corona virus and the experts recommending people with asthma not travel we decided to change our trip along with all the closeures (no cruises, no sporting events, no travel to Europe etc.). We wanted to practice public good health! Delta and southwest were wonderful and changed our flights with no penalties! The Marriott Bonvoy - Marriott Beach Resort also allowed us to change our reservations with no fee. Shashanah and allen stephensen who own M-311 said they would allow us to change our vacation from 3/15/20 to 3/27/20...??? No other option! Unbelievable! DO NOT RENT Wailea beach villas seas view sanctuary We do not want our money back! We simply want to reschedule our vacation! Do not #buylocal. #waileabeachvillas http://www.waileabeachvillasresort.com/

This was an AMAZING place to stay. Of course it ought to be with its price, but when you split it to consider that up to 7 people were sleeping here at one time, it becomes more affordable. (3 beds plus pull our couch.) If I'm looking at negatives I didn't like the stove top or oven. (The oven took FOREVER to heat up) but other than that everything was thought of. Fantastic small appliances. (vita mix blender! krups! breville! henckle knives!) As someone who loves to cook it's great having nice tools to work with. Except now I need to buy a $650 blender. The staff were very thoughtful, and helpful when needed. We had lots of problems with our free wifi, but they were pretty helpful about trying to fix it. I must admit it's also nice to have people in every other day to tidy up. The concierge was also helpful to us when we were trying to plan our weeks activities. The villa we were staying in wasn't ocean side (none really are), but a short walk, and I didn't mind walking for 5 minutes. The complex has two pools (one for kids, and one adult only), and an exercise centre. There is also access to a private beach shared with the Grand Wailea and the Fairmont. All in all, this is living the sweet life. The only problem being I had to return home disillusioned to my measly blender!

The beach is right behind the villa! About a 5 min walk from the lobby

Amazing place and customer service. The villa is huge! It has two pools, a gym, jacuzzi, and much more. Stayed here for 5 nights and I enjoyed every minute of it. The beach in their backyard is the best beach IMO. The sand is perfect for there is no rocks or shells. The beach is nice and clean as well. I enjoyed that the shoppes were right across the villa for it made it easy to grab something to eat such as Longhis or Ruth Chris steak House. The shoppes also had a market with lots of food/drinks and items ranging from clothes to memorabilia. In addition, there are high end stores such as Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Gucci and more. The shoppes is a two story mall and it was very nice. The penthouse I stayed had 3 rooms and a huge kitchen and living area with a 1900-2000s game console. It came with plates, utensils and everything you need in a kitchen and in addition, it has a washer and dryer. The service there is excellent and quick. I liked how you get your own private parking spot as well. I recommend this place to everyone if you are staying in Maui.

High end finishes and immaculate cleanliness. Amazing

Stayed 3 nights at the 2 bed 2 bath penthouse unit- simply blown away. Almost 2000 sq ft! The place was the nicest , most luxurious vacation condo I've ever stayed in. Top end finishes. Soft closing cabinets. Dimmable lights. Remote ceiling fans. Soft towels. A "garden view" that had plenty of ocean. And the house keeping staff who keep this place immaculate making it feel like you are the first person to ever stay there. Bravo WBV! Truly impressed. No wonder it's so expensive :)

The facility was an amazing place to share and stay with a bunch of friends. We had two confidence go the trip. Service, however, was kinda slow or non existent without reminders. We raise more towels and a roll up bed on the first day. It never showed up, so a follower was required the next day. Then, as we wake on the third day, we realized one of the fridges was not staying cool. Several hundred dollars of food spoiled. The coffee maker doesn't drip, instead we reused the filter and poured hot water into it to drop coffee that way. Compliant on that went on death ears. Finally, by the end of the trip, the other fridge died! The maintenance of appliance seemed to be subpar. Other than that, the amenities were nice and access to the ocean or private pool and hot tub rock pool were nice. Being adjacent to the mall was nice as your could get away with not having a rental car. We had two cars, and parking was ample. Penthouse rentals, looked both of ours comes with one space in the covered garage. I would stay here again, but the property managers and condo owners beef to keep up their service and appliance maintenance, respectively! This is why I have this 4 and not 5. At this price point, my experience should have been at a 6.

Obligatory shot of view from our patio. Impossible not to be wowed every morning.

Just got back from staying 8 nights in Wailea Beach Villas and it was really really special. We stayed in Penthouse 504 which was a little bit of a walk downhill to the beautiful pool and awesome Wailea beach but the view from our villa was amazing. Everything in the villa was first class; the furniture, appliances, decor, etc. Very secure and private location, we had our own elevator to our Villa which required the room key to use. They've also got a private entrance to the Shops at Wailea across the street which came in handy if you need to pick up something from the ABC store. We can't wait to return to WBV and it's going to be hard to stay in a regular hotel after this. The only complaint we had was they are pretty strict about no kids in the adult pool which is the more desireable pool, infinity style, and is right next to the beach. If you're in Hawaii and paying that much $ you don't really want to have to swim in the kids pool when it looks like it could be anywhere. But regardless, the place was amazing, it's expensive but less than a suite at one of the luxury hotels in Wailea, great location, great service. Highly recommend.

    Beautiful villa along the water.
    Dennis F.

Perfection! This was the best choice for a week in Maui. The service was great and grounds are immaculate. The location is the best--and it just a few steps away from the beautiful beaches of Wailea. This place is Pure luxury and I would recommend that everyone stay here. We will be back!

    Rachel W.

SUCH a nice place to stay! Great people at the pool who will find you a place to lay down. We had great weather, the people who cleaned were amazing. Beautiful open setting, great view.

In comparison to some other brands such as Aman, Four Seasons Maui felt below average given its price point. The resort itself felt small and a bit old. The service felt very below average and inconsistent. One employee would tell you the sun umbrellas at the pools near the bushes are not adjustable while literally 2 mins later another employee came and adjusted the sun umbrella next to me and also mine when I asked. When we went to the adult pool we were told by one employee that we needed to be on a waitlist. After 3 hours when we finally got notified that it was our turn and went back we noticed other guests just literally went and grabbed empty benches and staffs were just setting the benches up for them(no, they didn't even know there was a waitlist)... Our canoe experience at the last day of our stay got canceled due to high wind and the concierge never notified us etc. Many employees gave me the vibe that they don't really care. They just gave me fake smiles and robotic responses. Maybe Amond would take better care of us...if he is still alive... The view was very amazing. We even spotted whales many times.

There is an adults only pool in front of the spa, but it's not consistently heated and no ocean views. Free mineral sunblock at every towel station (SPF 30 and 50). We came after a big storm, and none of the water activities were available due to County brown water advisory. The rest of the resort fee activities were a nice add-on (e.g. smores at sunset, ukulele lessons, bingo, photography session). Cocktails were not great. Stick to the beer and wine. Breakfast buffet was good enough, but inconsistent and nothing exciting. Veggie fried rice was really good the first day, but lacked flavor the next day. Longans were a nice touch, but wasn't available every day (and no other specialty fruit replacement out of the ordinary selection). Apparently it used to be a Japanese club called the Diamond, but was converted to a hotel after seeing the club die out. I booked this hotel for a variety of reasons. The biggest reason being that this is an adults only hotel. Upon doing my research of Maui, I figured that the south west side was probably going to be better for calmer waters and a more tranquil place for a relaxing vacation with my wife who is expecting. I am glad I chose Hotel Wailea rather than other hotels around the area including Grand Wailea or Four Seasons. Another reason is that I was able to book directly on their website and save some money on their insider rate (nonrefundable). I always try to book directly so that it benefits the hotel. It also benefits me because I was able to save 30% on the rate and got a few bonus perks. It was a little bit of a gamble due to the extreme weather that they had prior to coming, but luckily everything worked out and the weather was beautiful during my stay. Being a smaller hotel, I noticed more attention to detail and much better service than any other hotels that I have stayed at in the past. Upon coming to the hotel with my rental car, the valet service greeted us and took care of all our bags and showed us to the check in area. We were greeted with a flower lei for my wife and a kukui nut lei for me. The check in process took a few minutes to explain the layout of the hotel and details. We got a free valet parking since we stayed 5 days at the hotel and also got a $100 dining credit. I am glad we got the valet parking since I read that the parking spots can be tight and distant from everything. The valet took us to our stay with a golf cart loaded with our luggage. Upon entering our suite, there was a welcome gift including some chocolates and alcohol free champagne. The suite is filled with everything you need. They have a fridge stocked with soft drinks and sparkling water that is all complimentary. They also have bottles of water and you can request more. You are able to take beach chairs, umbrellas, parasol and towels to the beach. They have shuttle rides that can take you to nearby area up to a certain distance. They will also pick you up if you call them. The shower and bath had the best water pressure I've seen anywhere. The bathtub was huge and it actually filled relatively quickly. They have a TV in the bedroom and in the lounge area. The outdoor patio provided a really nice view towards the ocean, garden and sky. I stayed very close to the gym which was a huge plus. I was able to use it every morning and was the only one there every morning prior to sunrise. Working out pre-sunrise to sunrise in a open door setting was a great experience. They have some unique free weights that mimics a natural wood look. There is a row machine, a coupe of treadmills, elliptical and peloton for cardio. Other basic machines that uses a pulley and weight system are available. They have several yoga mats as well for any floor exercises. The pool area seemed busy during the day so I went after sunset mostly. The water is heated so it is very comfortable. There is a beautiful sunset view from the restaurant or from the birdcage. Depending on who you ask and what circumstances they have, it could vary what expensive is, but it is certainly not cheap or affordable here. You are paying for more than just a view here. The entire experience is curated for you. The staff here does a phenomenal job at keeping this property well-maintained and running. The restaurant and hotel has a premium price, but for a premium experience. There are other experiences here that you can book on their website or contacting the front desk. The front desk, housekeeping and valet were all so easy to contact with the phone in the room. We tried the in room dining once and although it took some time, it was a nice experience. We do not recommend staying at this hotel for the following reasons;…read more 1). Front desk staff had an awful attitude when we asked questions and /or say hello, good morning etc. SPECIALLY THE TALL WOMAN WITH LONG HAIR (a local) you could tell she hated every guest. Everyone who's not from the island. We had no other choice lady! our company sent us there. we went there to work not to stay there forever. Also the other local women working in the front desk were very Apathetic/rude. In contrast the other staff who weren't locals were very polite and welcoming. 2). Rooms. The carpet is extremely filthy (wear flip flops otherwise your feet will be pitch black from the dirt ) our room was cleaned very late in the afternoon almost every day. Some days it was cleaned very well in the morning but when it was done in the afternoon, it wasn't clean well. No kitchen counters were cleaned, rug was not vacuumed and the shower had dirt on it, PUBIC HAIR! And on the sink counter as well. Very gross. Also the bed wasn't even made properly. 3). Noise! Walls are very thin. We could hear people screaming, laughing, slamming doors you name it! The good: The staff in the restaurant area were very lovely. The breakfast buffet was pretty good To the ladies or managers or whoever is putting a blind eye on how front desk staff is treating guests, you don't have the right to be disrespectful. If you can't stand/tolerate people who's not from your community, don't work on hospitality. Don't work for the industry that's bringing /welcoming people from all over the world. There's more to learn and see beyond your island. We come from a country/community that respects other people, cultures and will welcome you with open arms and respect. Don't hate us. Instead, focus your energy towards organizing and fighting the rich and powerful who are the real villains for taking away your land.

We stayed here right after the Lahaina fires so the hotel was fairly empty. The staff could not…read morehave been more welcoming and gracious. I initially planned on canceling our trip, but the hotel asked that we still come since they needed the business. I just didn't want to be in the way, but Lahaina is far away so we had no impact. It's a beautiful, huge resort with a great deal of amenities to include outdoor grills, basketball court, tennis courts, pool, etc. The onsite bar and restaurant is also very nice. It's in a great location near the center of Wailea and close to Kihei so it makes for easy travel. Love our stay here.
