This will be a nice interlude amongst many other visits to the Hawaiian islands near future. Thank you for this experience. It was a birthday gift to myself.

Gotta stay at the famous White Lotus when I visit Maui right? Unfortunately, my experience was…read moreextremely mediocre. I have stayed at many luxury hotels by now. In comparison to some other brands such as Aman, Four Seasons Maui felt below average given its price point. The resort itself felt small and a bit old. The service felt very below average and inconsistent. One employee would tell you the sun umbrellas at the pools near the bushes are not adjustable while literally 2 mins later another employee came and adjusted the sun umbrella next to me and also mine when I asked. When we went to the adult pool we were told by one employee that we needed to be on a waitlist. After 3 hours when we finally got notified that it was our turn and went back we noticed other guests just literally went and grabbed empty benches and staffs were just setting the benches up for them(no, they didn't even know there was a waitlist)... Our canoe experience at the last day of our stay got canceled due to high wind and the concierge never notified us etc. Many employees gave me the vibe that they don't really care. They just gave me fake smiles and robotic responses. Maybe Amond would take better care of us...if he is still alive... The view was very amazing. We even spotted whales many times.

The suite was incredible. Roomy, spacious, on the top floor. Full ocean view, amazing sunsets. The works. This is the best Maui can offer. Spectacular. And I could go on and on with superlatives until I run out. Service was exceptional. Well, people in Hawaii suffer from what they call "Aloha Spirit", which probably means they are always happy and smiling. Surprisingly, it's easy to adapt to this spirit. But at Fairmont Kea Lani, they took it up a notch. All staff, from the breakfast maître d' to the last of the chamber maids, from the reception attendants to the concierge desk - all were courteous, helpful, listening. I am going to stop now before someone tells me that I'm overflowing with praise. Bottom line, this week was the best hotel week we ever experienced. And we have plenty of great hotel experiences to compare to. Fairmont Kea Lani is by far the best.

Anniversary trip and first time staying at the Fairmont; glad it was at this location. For context,…read morehusband and I walked into and toured all the resorts along the wailea beach path and agree that Fairmont was #1 based on our preferences (yes, even compared to Four Seasons based on overview of pool amenities haha). Although the only other resorts I actually stayed at were Andaz and Wailea Beach Resort Marriott. Reason being that rooms are exceptional (all suites) and I highly recommend upgrading to ocean view if possible. They have prime real estate directly facing the sunset, making each night so memorable. For amenities, pools are more spread out and does not feel as claustrophobic compared to Four Seasons in my opinion. I'd choose Fairmont again for our next trip. Special shout out to the housekeeper going above and beyond who shapes our lei into a heart each time they tidy our place. This person deserves a raise/promotion. Barry the manager at the hotel breakfast buffet also feels like family; just so warm and friendly. Also deserves a raise or promotion.

My lady and I came here 25 years ago to celebrate our beginnings and returned to appreciate our quarter century with the 'Aloha Spirit'. In preparations for our festivities Sheree in Guest Services graciously cared for us - she is an extraordinary gift to visitors. Every moment on property continued the appreciation, Angel and Nilma's thoughtful care at the front desk, to the wait staff's attentiveness - Toby, Brant, Olivia, P.T.... at the Lehua Lounge and poolside and especially Braden at Morimoto. In addition to the magical ambience, you are treated like royalty. Complimentary snacks in the room are replenished daily, citrus infused water refills everywhere, Hawaii ice cream treats offered poolside, sunscreen dispensers at every pool. When you are looking for a chaise, they immediate put a chair cover on for you and bring multiple towels.... The culture of care (Hoʻokipa) begins with the Hawaiian culture and the exceptionally personable GM Richard Elliot along with Kodi a beverage manager with his "Andaz style" (personal service). Beautiful memories were created from dawn's light peeking into the grand Lawai'a Lounge to, chaises by the four descending pools, to complementary beach adventures - snorkeling, kayaking... to sunsets from our beloved poolside upper terrace table. Every dish was a delight, many 'the best we could remember'. Mahalo for creating a beautiful commemoration, may you ever feel the appreciation of your guests and colleagues.

Nice resort in Wailea. Everything was good, but nothing was wow…read more Rooms are on the small side. Low ceilings. Waterfall shower had good water pressure. Gym is good. Adequate ventilation and air conditioning, good assortment of cardio, weight machines, Smith machine, and free weights. Laundry room, including detergent and dryer sheets, are free to use. Three washers and three dryers available. There is a 1.5 mile ocean view path that connects the resorts, Shops at Wailea, and public beaches. Lots of people walking and running it. Lots of kids. There is an adults only pool in front of the spa, but it's not consistently heated and no ocean views. Free mineral sunblock at every towel station (SPF 30 and 50). We came after a big storm, and none of the water activities were available due to County brown water advisory. The rest of the resort fee activities were a nice add-on (e.g. smores at sunset, ukulele lessons, bingo, photography session). Cocktails were not great. Stick to the beer and wine. Breakfast buffet was good enough, but inconsistent and nothing exciting. Veggie fried rice was really good the first day, but lacked flavor the next day. Longans were a nice touch, but wasn't available every day (and no other specialty fruit replacement out of the ordinary selection). Ohana room (transition lounge) is available if you have a later flight and want to stay on property after checkout time of 11AM. Clean and has all the amenities needed to freshen up before a late flight. Includes a bathing suit spinner to dry it out for packing. All in all, they have everything you need for a Maui vacay.

Our favorite being Kingsland & Waikoloa Village on The Big Island. We have been looking forward to the opportunity to visit the new Maui Bay Villas but were left feeling severely underwhelmed with this property. The room itself is updated and in great condition, but the premises are lacking.. Pros: quiet area near Kihei, good for families looking to hang out by the pool, large pools, water slide. Cons: small fitness center, no water in fitness center or filler stations anywhere on premise, pool across the street requires a separate key card that must be checked in and out each day, pool gates are locked until pool opens which forces you to walk around the entire property to get to places like the lobby or fitness center early, limited/no special events like live music, activities, etc. jacuzzis where down for maintenance throughout the duration of our trip. Only 1 restaurant on property with a menu on the smaller side.

To top it off I has just come up from beach to make an important call. Had to go on deck outside- no service in room. poorly managed, amenities are not accurately depicted in the pictures posted online. Renters beware. Condo does not address repairs before rental is vacant. -The AC unit is filthy None of my concerns were ever addressed after many text messages and calls. I spent my time calling and text messaging. This is not the first negative review of this complex. They date back to 2012. This is an ongoing issue and all they care about is renting regardless of the condition of the units. If a Maui condo lied about a functioning hot tub and Wi-Fi, you should immediately document the issues and contact the property management or booking platform to request a refund or compensation for the misrepresentation Look for reviews from other guests to see if these problems are recurring, and understand your rights as a consumer in such situations to ensure fair resolution
