Pineapple Inn Maui is like a slice of heaven! It is tucked away in a peaceful residential neighborhood. The rooms are plenty comfortable and clean and stocked with a wonderful variety of continental breakfast food items including coffee and OJ. The Inn also provides all of the needed amenities for your day away at the beach such as a cooler, ice packs, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, etc. The grounds are perfectly groomed and absolutely beautiful! The pool and hot tub are very nice with relaxing island music playing poolside. :) The Inn is very conveniently located very close to many beautiful beaches, restaurants and activities. Unfortunately, our experience didn't quite match the positive reviews. We encountered ongoing issues with bugs during our stay, and found communication with Angie to be slow at times. We had to vacate our room on two occasions for spraying, which was inconvenient, especially without much notice. After one treatment, we returned to find a terse note about not leaving food out--though we'd only left a sealed soda bottle on the counter. The bug issue worsened throughout the week, and by the end of our stay, I was finding bugs in my makeup bag and personal belongings. On the morning of checkout, I received several texts from Angie asking us to allow pest control into the room, which added stress as we were trying to pack and leave. That said, the property itself is lovely--beautiful grounds, peaceful surroundings, and well-maintained outdoor areas. With clearer expectations and more responsive communication, this could be a great place to stay. For us, the experience didn't quite meet that bar. read more

I just finished a stay in the cottage and couldn't have been happier. There was a welcome basket of goodies waiting for me, plus everything I could possibly need like beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs for use while I was there. This was our 4th time staying at the Pineapple Inn and it feels like paradise every time! Even the most expensive hotels in Wailea can't compare with the lovely bird filled garden around the pool. While there are three other guest rooms and a cottage on the property, the place feels like your own private oasis. We first found it mentioned as a "Best Value" on Maui years ago in a a guide book, and after one stay, we could see why. We're never tempted to stay anywhere else! Angie who managed the place during three of our stays has also always managed to make us feel like family--giving us wonderful suggestions and helping us out with various travel issues. have been coming to Maui for over 40 years and Pineapple Inn is one of the nicest places I've stayed in. It's about a 5 minute drive to Elua beach which has amazing snorkeling and another block or so youre at the Shops at Wailea. If you don't mind being right on the beach then this is the perfect spot. The grounds are impeccably kept and the pool area is as good or better than Ekahi or Elua. The view from the Wailea room is beautiful and the bed is very comfortable. The food in the fridge is amazing as well and lots of it. Mark was a wonderful host and was always there to answer questions. He really went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. The Pineapple Inn is a gem of a place. So special in fact that you want to keep it a secret because the place is so perfect! Why? Well it's within a mile to some of the best beaches and it's perfect for those who want quiet solitude during the day or evening. The inn is kept small for a limited amount of guests. The guests we met were respectful and friendly. There is a pool and hot tub, along with other stunning plants, flowers, birds, etc. The price is affordable and you can use the summer kitchen for cooking some of your meals. Breakfast foods are stocked in the fridg with choices. Mark and Steve are the loviest welcoming couple and their love for nature, their home, property, respect for guests is top notch. This is a beautiful, boutique BnB, located in a neighborhood away from all the larger resorts. The grounds are stunning and the views are amazing! A pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen are available for guests. They also provided everything else we needed such as sunscreen, beach chairs and towels, and breakfast items to enjoy in our room each morning. We absolutely loved everything about this location, and even though it was away from the big resorts, it was only a 5-minute drive from restaurants and beaches nearby. This is a clean and lovely place to stay at. It has a very well maintained yard which is a botanical garden by itself. The rooms and the hallways are beautifully designed. Everything looks aesthetically pleasing. The pool is nice and clean in a cozy corner along with a big hot tub. You would find the fridge fully stacked with food including bagel, muffin, fruit, juice, yogurt and of course cream cheese, jam and butter and they don't mind providing more if you go through it all . Wow! Our trip to Maui was awesome and we couldn't have asked for a better stay other than the Pineapple Inn. It was paradise in hotel form. The grounds included an incredible lush Hawaiian garden atmosphere with a pool, hot tub, lounge area and ocean views where you could relax in privacy and unwind after daily island excursions. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage that was super clean and comfy with every amenity that you would need. We loved making coffee and a light breakfast in the morning and enjoying it on our patio before heading out for the day. It was so nice to meet Angie and Ty and get their tips on their favorite spots and things to do on the island. They were so helpful and available with anything we needed throughout our stay. They were also stocked full of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and everything you need for a perfect beach day!! We were so glad to find a place with such affordable and reasonable rates in such a unique vacation residence. Aloha! The Pineapple Inn Maui is such a gorgeous place. We stayed in the Wailea room on the 2nd story. It was perfect for my hubby & I. The room is beautifully decorated, spacious, has a nice bathroom, and lovely balcony to watch the amazing sunsets . There is a mini refrigerator stocked up with fruit, bagels, muffins, yogurt and our fave Hawaiian sodas. It was also nice to have a cute welcome basket with yummy goodies such as the chocolate macadamia nuts candy box. We met the owners Mark & Steve and they are very gracious hosts,. We utilized the fabulous pool, hot tub and the putting green one evening and it was all perfect. Very well kept and 5 stars all the way. When I come back to Maui I will definitely stay here again!! We love The Pineapple Inn Maui! Such a lovely piece of Paradise! It is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, but its extensive lovely landscaping--flowers, greenery and towering palms--creates a spectacular private haven. The backyard pool is so gorgeous and it is the perfect temperature and a perfect size! The majestic palm trees stretch overhead, against the blue Maui sky, and we often were the only ones in the pool. My husband saw five new birds on his life list at the feeder near our lanai. Mark and Steve are the best hosts and they immediately take care of any little glitch. The Pineapple Inn is in a perfect location, where we can drive five minutes to have a meal at the fancy resorts at Wailea and then go back to our own special escape. We have gone to Maui three times over the years and we have stayed at The Pineapple Inn all three times. Exceeded my expectations! It's a tropical paradise from the moment you enter the grounds. Serene and beautiful are apt descriptions of this property. Sunset views over the water were a plus. The manager was very nice and extremely helpful. Room was comfortable (best bed and pillows I slept on of the 4 places I stayed in Hawaii) and stocked with goodies. This location near Kihei is perfect for getting around the island. But don't overlook the beautiful beaches and enticing restaurants nearby. As for the Inn itself, it is an exceptional value on an expensive island. Mark and Steve are there as resources, but they are unobtrusive if you are looking to chill. The grounds are lovely. Pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, grill. You can be happy staying on the property. Each unit has a well stocked fridge. Washer, dryer, and beach paraphernalia are easy to access. The rooms have good climate control, comfortable beds, and a kitchenette for do it yourselfers. It is a B and B. Where is the breakfast? It turns out to be against the law to serve one on Maui. So this inn is everything a B and B should be, while staying within the law. read more

We've stayed at the Pineapple Inn a few times - in one of the rooms in the main building, and most recently in the adorable 2-bedroom cottage. This B&B is a treat in and of itself on Maui. It has this lush garden with a saline pool, hot tub, and beautiful view of the rolling hills and ocean. The owners are super friendly and hospitable. The inn is stocked with a lot of what you need, like sunscreen, toiletries., beach toys & boogie boards, etc. It's close to some great beaches in Kihei and the shops at Wailea. I really loved staying here. The entrance to the inn is gorgeous, with a path that leads past super tall trees and plants. It's beautiful. I stayed in the Lanai. It was well stocked with chocolates (yes, I devoured them immediately), muffins, and oatmeal, and a bunch of other tasty foods and snacks. The room and bathroom were all neat and comfy. I loved the balcony that, like the entrance, was covered in beautiful greenery and plant-life. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and around the bird feed was great. The pool area, grilling space, mini golf space and hot tub all felt like an oasis. Shout out to Angie for being a lovely host. Highly recommend. read more

What a delightful place to stay! Mark could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. Their inn is beautiful and the garden rivals most botanical gardens. The room was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Would have loved to stay longer. Definitely recommend staying here. Their website pictures don't do it justice. They are 2 mins from Kihei and some incredible snorkeling. From there about an hour and a half to Haleakala. Great location to explore West Maui. read more

This is a wonderful intimate accommodation away from the busy area of Kihei but conveniently located to fantastic beaches and restaurants. You can see the pride in ownership that is displayed throughout. Our room was so comfortable, clean, and well maintained and with quality features and fixtures throughout, it had everything we needed. It's truly the most comfortable bed I've slept in, I'm very picky. There really aren't enough positive comments to give about the grounds, which are beautiful and comfortable. We had gorgeous sunsets from our lanai where we enjoyed the provided breakfast items each day. The fan above the bed provided plenty of cool air, we are often too hot in the evening. Appreciated use of a cooler and beach towels. Mark and Steve are so friendly and were there to chat, answer questions or provide anything we needed, but also were fine to allow us as much privacy as we desired. Perhaps my favorite feature was "the magic hamper" where I could leave towels as I needed them replaced or leave notes for other items I might need and watch clean towels and all other requests magically appear! There is traffic noise from the busy piilani highway, but you can't hear it at all in the room and you are able to easily tune it out it this oasis. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others. read more
