Les Schwab Tire Center - Exterior: new/replacement front tyre

Les Schwab Tire Center

I use only COOPER TIRES on my (motor)vehicles, and was confident they would hold up after hitting…read morenumerous potholes/boulders during a journey from the Bay Area to St. LouisMO. Whilst underway, severe shaking of the steering wheel gradually decreased to barely noticeable, but when re-fueling in FallonNV, I noticed the formerly nearly-new Cooper tires (front) had developed serious bald spots. They required immediate replacement; I consulted coopertires.com, and was referred to LES SCHWAB TIRE CENTER (2555 Reno Highway, FallonNV 89406 USA; 775.423.7722; lesschwab.com). ¡What an excellent recommendation! Within 15 minutes, I was speaking with front desk man DAVID, who assured me about replacement wheel choice, and STUART, who ensured the necessary alignment could be accomplished at the same time that the new tires were installed/mounted. I was SO PLEASED at their immense professionalism/courtesy/efficiency, effectively returning me to safely operating my 2008 Ford Ranger on the roads within THREE HOURS of motoring onto the lot. I highly recommend LES SCHWAB TIRE CENTER for any motor vehicle/wheel/tire problems! They definitely have my coveted "iWheel of Approval!"

Went in for an oil change and new tires. They took my vehicle without letting me know and when they…read moreleft they cut across 4 lanes of traffic with no signal. Then proceeded to slam on the brakes and do a U-Turn across the lanes. Then drove it like they stole it back to the shop. I wouldn't be to upset but it was raining hard out and I'd rather them not crash my sports car. When I told them I had a dash cam and informed them what happened they got quite and said it's not the technicians first time doing that.

After diagnosing the problem, they then quoted me a price. They did the job in the time quoted and in the price quoted. They even took me home when I dropped off the car as I didn't have a ride. Car is still running great! In 2012 my other son was having issues with his fuel gauge. They had us bring in the repair book we were using and showed us what wires to look for and how to test those wires on the tank.........no charge! If you just need them to listen to your vehicle and give you an idea on what is going wrong, no charge. If they need to put tools or gauges on it to get more in depth on a tricky problem, then they charge. I will go to them anytime we have an issue we cannot figure out on our own as they are very friendly and aren't nasty to DIY "shade tree" mechanics like some I've run into over the years.

I'll make this brief. I don't even know if they're still around because I'm just back to visit but…read moreI could not believe some of these other reviews that are just hogwash! In 2018 I had my '98 Nissan Maxima towed and dropped off because there was some electrical problem and it wouldn't start. Ted fixed it, charged me $250, and it started up in the parking lot of Fernley Tire but then died again before we left! He kept it for 3 days after that and never found the reason it wouldn't start but promptly gave me back the $250. He said he had spent hours on it but it had become a "personal issue" and was not going to charge me any more than the original $250. All of this mumbo-jumbo about Ted being dishonest is not true. Ted's the MOST honest I've ever dealt with.
