Had my bmw battery replaced and "coded + registered" here at the end of 2020. Noticed the car had various problems after: stuttered idling, parking lamps burning out, engine misfires, crank but no start, etc... Originally, I thought these issues were due to the age of the car, but I recently had to replace the battery again and to my surprise when the battery M Tech Autocare sold me was pulled out, it was a plain Lead Acid battery and not an AGM battery although the car was currently coded for an 80 Ah AGM battery. The battery history also said it had never been replaced. Additionally, the car had many many error codes due to overvoltage and undervoltage. It looks like they simply swapped the battery and never coded and never registered the new one although I was charged $120 for labor including the programming and registration. Had the right sized battery for the vehicle installed and correctly coded and registered a week ago, and the car has been driving a lot better and smoother. Hate to leave a bad review but I have been reading that the wrong battery and coding on bmws can cause serious problems, very very negligent by M Tech Autocare. read more
