We couldn't be happier with Matt and Absolute Home Comfort. We found him on Yelp and decided to trust the opinions of previous reviewers. So glad we did! We hired him to move an electrical box for us, and to check/replace a few outlets. There are many things we can do ourselves, but electrical work is definitely NOT one of them. He showed up on time, did a fantastic and efficient job, and his pricing was incredibly reasonable. Since then, he's been back a couple of times to either check out new issues, or just give us advice on how to handle things on our own. I'm pretty sure Matt is tired of hearing from us by now but you would never know it. He is very friendly, patient, and doesn't treat you like an idiot who has no idea what you're doing. He is also very fair with his rates. No complaints at all! We have been incredibly satisfied with Matt's work and I highly recommend him for your electrical and carpentry needs. I'm sure we'll be calling him again soon! read more

Matt has been doing outstanding electric work -- he is extremely responsive, helpful, communicative with pricing and logistics, and prompt. I will be using him for all my electric projects moving forward! read more

Matt is fantastic! Recently purchased an older home and needed some electrical upgrades. For the first job, Matt installed the wiring for a Nest thermostat and turned our outside receptacles into GFCI certified ones. Price was very reasonable. Second job was installing a new ceiling light upstairs. He said the old wiring in the ceiling and the switches was something he had never seen in his 25 years of electrical work! But he fixed our issue within a day! Hire him, you won't regret it :) read more

I am guilty of reading many Yelp reviews but never writing any, so here goes! Our condo's heat and a/c were coming on at the same time and it was driving us crazy. We contacted SEVERAL heating/cooling contractors and couldn't get anyone to even come look at it. Finally we contacted Absolute Home Comfort via their Website, received a return call and scheduled an appointment. The soonest opening was 2 weeks out but still we were grateful to get someone to finally help us! Brendan came out this morning, diagnosed the issue, and gave us some recommendations for the future around servicing our heating and cooling units. He was very friendly and resourceful. I would definitely recommend Absolute. read more

I called up AHC to install a downdraft for our cooktop after our regular HVAC guy became a flake. They were quick to call me back and came out to do an estimate at no charge. Brendan was very helpful and informative and their price was in line with other estimates we received. He came to do the job and was quick, clean, and even offered up a solution that cleaned up the ceiling in our basement. Great guy and I'm definitely going to use them again if I need anything. read more

I did not get any major work done, just a routine furnace cleaning. But from what I've seen so far, I'm impressed. Brendan was courteous, clear, and professional. The work was thorough and reasonably priced. I'm a fan! read more

Absolute Home Comfort is the best. We bought an old house and needed a new boiler/hot water system. Joe came out, explained all the options and gave a decent quote. They then killed themselves putting in a great, efficient system in two days. Fast, clean, and really good at communicating - there when they said they'd be, everything works perfectly, and they filled out all the paperwork for some rebates. Great guys, great work. read more

Matt come out this morning to make the repairs that he quoted from our last meeting. He did an awesome job, was prompt (called to let me know he was stuck in traffic on a rainy Mon morning), efficient, and professional. I would highly recommend their services or would be happy to refer them for work! ----------------------------------------------- Matt came out this morning as the entire furnace in my North End condo has blown out. He called to let me know he was on his way (much appreciated) and would be there in 30 minutes as promised. He was professional, knowledgeable, and can do both the electric and HVAC stuff that the condo needs. As a first time homebuyer the appointments with contractors can be daunting and half of them never show up even with an appt! Not true for this company and would def recommend them again. Also Matt does some carpentry work so its good to pick his brain for other stuff around the house. read more

I had an unusual HVAC noise and called several places. Most don't work on all electric systems, so after talking to Matt on the phone who answered all 100 of my questions I felt really good about having them out. Brendan arrived when they said he would and got right to work looking at the system. He said my noise wasn't worrisome and explained in detail the cause of the noise. He recommended a cleaning of my unit in the summer time. I appreciated that he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need and I believe that is due to their $50 service call fee. They are getting paid for their time (and developing a customer) and therefore don't need to talk you into services you don't really actually need. From that perspective $50 is a bargain! I'd definitely recommend them and use them in the future. read more

Very nice, efficient, fixed wiring and part problem (i.e. Last years company screw up) in under 2 hours. Costs on par with others. A pleasant, live person answers the phone, and they showed up on time booked. read more

Came on time and knew what was wrong and fix the problem and was friendly and great knowledge. Good customer services

Despite the 12 inch storm last night, Joe from Absolute Home Comfort came out to my house, on a Saturday, and were very pleasant to work with. They fixed a burst pipe in my radiant heat system and did another minor job on the fly as well. Good guys, didn't feel like they were trying to put the screws to me. They responded immediately to my service call as well. As long as the work holds up, I'll definitely call them again. They do plumbing, electric work, HVAC and other general work. read more

Too notch customer service. Matt went above and beyond what I would expect to see that we were happy customers and the problem was resolved. Highly recommended! read more

Fantastic customer service! Ken was wonderful -- he got a bit hung up at another job (which happens, I completely understand) but called us and still managed to come and resolve our problem later that evening. Our other regular HVAC guy turned out to be a flake so we had been without AC for a week and we were miserable. We couldn't be more pleased with Absolute Home Comfort and especially Ken!! read more

While my initial rating would have been much higher, the follow-up I received from Ken and Sarah was absolutely hideous. I called Absolute this past winter when our furnace stopped blowing hot air. Ken was sent out and fixed the problem...temporarily. The second time we called, Ken did a much better job of actually diagnosing the problem and fixed it properly. I had requested a quote to replace the entire furnace unit - no doubt a tedious job. Ken made it sound that they could do the job no problem. Then, I never heard back from him. I called and spoke to Sarah who assured me I would hear from Ken. I never did. If you can't or don't want the job, tell me. Don't just leave me hanging. That is the absolute worst type of customer service you can deliver, especially when you have someone with money in hand. Communication is easy. Someone should have called me back. read more

I asked for a quote and one of their guys came to take a look. They said they'd get back to me in ~1 week. I waited, but didn't hear anything. So I emailed and asked about it, but they said it will take another few days. Waited again, and asked them again, still told me to wait. It's been over a months, but I still haven't heard back. Horrendous customer service. read more

Brandon came out looked at my property and then never came back with a quote or a reply. After trying a few times to get a response I gave up. I would give them a one star but he was at least pleasant before he stopped responding. read more

6 stars! Absolute Home Comfort was an ideal experience. My wife and I are new homeowners, and we inherited a faulty heating system (one zone was always on even with the thermostat off) and water damage from 3 separate leaks. Absolute home comfort diagnosed and fixed all our issues with great care on an aggressive schedule for a very competitive price. Matt first came over to fix my heat, and I knew I would like him immediately. He was super friendly, and he patiently and enthusiastically showed me (a dumb new home owner) how my heating system works. One of our heat zones was constantly running even though the rest were working fine. Matt correctly diagnosed and fixed the issue (leaky check valve). While he was here, he diagnosed our leaky roof. Our insurance assessor could not figure out where the leaks were coming from, but Matt figured it out in 20 minutes! Turns out we had two leaks in opposite sides of the house, plus a leaking shower floor. Matt and his team repaired the leaks and all the water damage in all 3 rooms. These guys work hard (I get tired just watching them), and they do great work. And they were really flexible on schedule, which was great since it was during the winter holidays. All my interactions with Matt and the crew were pleasant and productive. He was super helpful at explaining things, giving us options, and clearly explaining all price implications. He really understood our price restrictions, and he worked hard to give us the best deal for our budget. AHC didn't just repair our home, but they left me with a much better understanding of my house overall. I love working with them, and I will continue to do so for future home repair projects. read more

Brendan is a great salesman and will put you at ease and feel confident in their work. I had a really big home renovation and wanted to hire them because they promised to be able to pull many pieces together and communicate well. They also promised to be on the job every day until the job was done. Alas, they were at my house about as consistently as the Easter Bunny. Often I wouldn't hear from them from one or two weeks at a go, Brendan's phone "wasn't working" so often I think he must have used it for a hammer. Some of their work was quality, and some was shoddy. Halfway through the job they fired half their workforce, including the only guy who would show up to work on my house semi-reliably. Many months and many thousands of dollars later, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

We used them a few years ago and they were GREAT! I can't believe I didn't think to call them sooner! I'm ringing them tomorrow!

Absolute Home Comfort was recommended to me by servicemagic.com. I needed to have my old gas stove disconnected & my newly restored 1950's gas stove installed in it's place. I also needed to have my shutoff from the city waterline repaired & updated. These guys (Joe & Jay) did a fantastic job. Great guys, great attitude, great work, & great prices. Words really can't say enough. These guys are my "go to guys" for any future plumbing work around my house. I got estimates from other plumbers for work listed above. Boston Standard Plumbing & Heating was extremely overpriced compared to what Joe & Jay charged. Tipperary Plumbing never got back to me after numerous attempts on my part. William J Malcolm & Son never got back to me after numerous attempts on my part. I highly recommend Absolute Home Comfort! read more

Absolute Home Comfort has just completed remodeling my condominium. I have a brand new kitchen, bathroom, hardwood floors, electricl systems and plumbing updated. The real estate agents who have seen the unit say it is the best remodel they have ever seen and there is nothing close to it in the price range. Absolute Home Comfort far exceeded my expectations and I was always confident that the work would be of the highest professional standard. This is the third time they completed projects for me and each one has been outstanding. read more

I called a few other guys including my regular HVAC guy but thought their prices were high, so I called Absolute. Joe came by, walked throug the job with me and wrote up a detailed quote right after. Price was great and the work they did was even better. They were on time, did everthing perfectly (moved a w/d from basement to kitchen), cleaned up, and left us 100% satisfied. read more

I recommend this company. In 2013 my Central AC unit was in need of Freon. This company gave me the best price. The technician was very honest and friendly. He gave important information about the maintenance of the unit. He didn't try to sell me services that the unit did not need. If you are looking for an honest and affordable company to do any jobs at home, Absolute Home Comfort is the right choice. read more

Scheduled a service call for a broken central A/C system. Brendan came out and determined that the problem was with the condenser, which is on the roof. He didnt have a ladder the right size to access it so had to come back the next day. He came back, examined the condenser, and said it needed a new part that he would have to pick up or order. Before leaving to get the part he tried to sell me on replacing the condenser in its entirety at an estimated cost of $2500. When I opted to just replace the broken part, he left and said he would possibly come back that night to replace the part, or would call me if the part had to be ordered. Didn't hear from him that night and had to text him for an update. He said that the store didn't have the part and since the order went in late that it might not make the morning truck but that he would let me know asap in the morning. Sure enough, no word from him the next day. I called him and got voice mail He texted me back saying that Monday was a possibility (it was Friday and scheduled to be in the 90s all weekend) but he couldn't guarantee it and that I should try to find someone else and that he "wouldn't charge me even though I agreed to pay for the service call". Ha! Pay for what? He didn't fix the problem AND wasted about 5 hours of my time. Definitely avoid this company at all costs! read more

Let me say, I couldn't wait to write this review. I originally wanted to use this company to do a kitchen remodel and I didn't because the cabinet manufacturer wouldn't warranty the product if someone else installed the product. Needless to say the manufacturer and installation service have been a pain in my side. I am so mad at myself for not sticking to my guns and using Matt in the first place. I had so much of an issue with the other company that Matt had to come in and do some of the work anyway. Even though I had to pay additional money for their services, which I did not intend because the previous company said they could do work they were not licensed to do, Matt and his team did exceptional work. They did it in one day and were able to pull the necessary permits to do the work. I couldn't have been happier. I wish I had used them from the beginning. Great company and will definitely recommend them to others!!!! read more
