This is the second job Jolt has done at my residence. The first was to have a heating unit installed in my basement. Both of the electricians were excellent. The job was done quickly and the work site left quite clean. In addition, both me found outside outlets that were out of code. They showed me and replaced them. The second job John (the owner) came to install dimmer switches, an outlet in the basement and a motion sensor light outside. John did a fantastic job. Not only did he install everything exactly as he said he would, but he also located several additional code issues-one potentially very dangerous-and repaired them. I found Jolt to be an excellent service. The price is very reasonable, the quality excellent and the staff professional and affable. John runs a very tight ship, with attention paid to detail and the right way of doing things. I highly recommend Jolt Electric. read more

Jolt Electric had an EV charger installed at my home very quickly and efficiently. Somehow they even had the connection running up the exterior wall to the charger match the color of the side of the house! I couldn't be happier with the work that they did. I felt guilty that I didn't pay them more,. read more

Jolt Electric - Great EV charger installation. Thanks, Jolt Electric, Inc! - Electricians Near Me - Salem, Massachusetts

So great being able to prepare for my electric vehicle! Very easy scheduling! John understood what would have to be done right away!

Haven't been able to use Jolt yet for a full job, but wanted to give a shout out for an honest appraisal of the what's involved in getting my building's amperage upgraded to meet the needs of a potential heat pump addition. Unfortunately, that project turned out to be DOA due to the logistics involved but I immensely appreciate being walked through what my options and risks were so I could make an informed decision. The next time I need an electrician for a real project, I will be going with Jolt. read more

Without a doubt in my mind, I just witnessed the most professional, courteous work done by John, the owner of Jolt Electric. Accommodating: John went out of his way to secure a time to some to the house to install a new outlet. Courteous: Just a good guy who went about his business without seeking any attention. Cleanliness: the two areas in question looked like they were never worked on. Price: very competitive in price. Bottom line: just call John at Jolt Electric; the guy is great! read more

These guys are insanely expensive. I met with John, went through everything, didn't hear back and got a call at 9pm the day before he's telling me he can come by. One part of the job he mentioned could be $550 and the other parts were much easier than that so I assumed a few hundred more, tops. Additionally, I specifically asked that they write a proposal for the third thing if it was going to be more than $200 as I would have to think about it. I was going to be hiking that day so I told him I wouldn't have great signal and that I wasn't sure if it was a good day. He ended up coming anyway but sent his guys and then he called for a run down of the work I needed done (and of course, I had not much signal and was trying to enjoy nature so this was frustrating). I checked in around 12pm to see what was happening and there was an issue where the $550 ish part -install a heavy light fixture in the dining room- couldn't be completed as desired so they were going to just put a modern light box in and not hang the light (which was apparently missing parts). So now, I'm expecting the price to be much lower since the most expensive thing couldn't be completed. Also, this was the only part of the job that required two people, so I was paying the 2 person rate all day while turns out, I didn't even need two people (difference is something like $55 / hr). I checked in around 2pm, John has no update since he's not on the job. Now I'm getting nervous because I have no way of knowing what time they got there or what time they are leaving. Here we are 3 weeks later and I'm just getting a bill for well over $1,000 and the light isn't even hung and they didn't install this bar that was supposed to allow me to hang a heavy light there when I purchase a new light. $170 / hr is the highest I've seen in this area and they definitely weren't any faster than anyone else nor more professional. I absolutely would not use them again on an hourly basis. read more

John was great, fast and responsive, and gave me a fair and accurate estimate to install our car charger and change some breakers. He listened to what I wanted to do and offered great advice. And Steve, who did the work, was very professional, friendly and efficient. everything got done fast and very nicely. Very happy with the service. read more

Jolt not only completed the work on time but they left our basement cleaner than when they found it! We received quotes from 5 different electricians and Jolt's professionalism and expeirence were clear from the start. We really appreciated the work that they did for us and would happily hire them again. read more

I work in the construction field and deal with many contractors. I have to say that John was one of the easiest guys to talk with about what I needed done at my home. His estimate was well below others I contacted and his guys did a terrific job with my outlets and lights they installed. When I got home I did not even know they were there as the place was as clean as I left it. I highly recommend Jolt. read more

The dirt bag didn't show up for a large job. Cost me two weeks time to find another electrician. Didn't even call to at least say he couldn't do it. Didn't respond to messages. He seemed competent but obviously he is not. Don't be fooled by his false professionalism. He probably can't wire a lamp. This review will probably get deleted as well. Location is Beverly, MA not San Francisco, CA read more

Blew a power leg on my old house in Salem and John came out right away to take a look. He was super friendly and informative, and got me a quote almost immediately. The crew showed up right on time and were very professional. Job was competed right on schedule and the invoice was the same as the quoted price. I am extremely satisfied with their work and will be calling them back as I continue to update the house. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. read more

Jolt Electric replaced all of the knob & tube wiring in my house in Salem. It was a pretty big job. They also installed flat screen TV mounts and wired the TVs so everything was hidden. Their estimate of cost and length of the job were right on. John and the crew were very professional and commicated with me throughout the process. I highly recommend Jolt Electric! read more

John Stavaridis and his team at Jolt Electric are superior to any electrician I or my uncle (a general contractor) have vetted. My uncle has been in the home improvement industry for more than 30 years, and he's never seen a more tidy, efficient and impressive electric contracting business. Everything about our experience with John and Jolt Electric was fantastic. From the initial evaluation and pre-project scope of work through to the job execution and billing, Jolt Electric surpassed our expectations, impressed us with professionalism and overwhelmed us with value. Also worth noting, it says on Jolt's website -- Please feel free to give us a call. We will actually answer the phone! -- and that couldn't be more true. From the first time I called John, to the weeks leading up to us actually closing on our home, he answered the phone each time, and was careful and calculated in the counsel he provided. Our project was unique in that we had to remove knob and tube wiring in a mixed wiring home. The Jolt Electric team is well versed in all wiring, and we were extremely happy to learn how well John and his team are in removing knob and tube as a weatherization barrier to utilize the Mass Save program to insulate the home. We are now graduated through the Mass Save/ CLEAResult program thanks to Jolt Electric. Additionally worth noting, we found the lead electrician on our project Keith to be extremely knowledgeable, respectful and responsive. We trusted Keith and his helper to come and go from the home via a lockbox, and Keith would call with any minor snag he hit or question he wanted to clarify with us. Keith is the sort of consummate professional you want working on important work like the electrical in your home! Last, we found the scope of work pricing fair, and were happy to discover that our final bill -- albeit with several project additions (my wife and I couldn't help ourselves) -- was nearly exact to what the original scope of work price was. I've also really grown to appreciate Jolt's owner John Stavaridis as a person. He's an honest man, a family guy and truly has been a pleasure to have in our home interacting with us, our dog and our young daughter (nearly 2 years old). You're lucky you found Jolt Electric. You won't regret calling John! read more

I've found John to be responsive, helpful, and reasonably priced. He's helped with a few small jobs in my condo, he explains things well and I've never had an issue with getting estimates in advance. read more

I needed to have work done at our summer house in Salem and had a very unpleasent experience. John was not knowledgeable and rude. When I asked him a question regarding the work I knew the answer to he lied to me. read more

Previously was a 5 star when I had used them in the past, but now is a 1 star because he won't return calls or emails (a total of 5 of them) after visiting my home. While it may have been a somewhat small job, I'd at least expect a quote (which was promised twice) or a response that they are too busy. read more

Have used John on a big job before . Recently tried to get him back really gave a negative vib. I guess job wasn't big enough. I think he has grown too big and lost that customer one on one relation. Too bad read more
