We should have asked up front about his rates, but other services have offered it up front before agreeing to come out, and we got complacent and ended up with a $400+ bill for 'weekend' rates. It just like it was a surprisingly high bill that jumped out at us after he did the work. That's on us I suppose, just be prepared to spend money, and don't hire on the weekends or after 4PM if you have the time to do so, in order to save some money. Can't really speak to the quality of work, since what he did was fairly simple, though his expertise did confirm that a replacement was needed.

The job was done quickly and the work site left quite clean. In addition, both me found outside outlets that were out of code. They showed me and replaced them. The second job John (the owner) came to install dimmer switches, an outlet in the basement and a motion sensor light outside. John did a fantastic job. Not only did he install everything exactly as he said he would, but he also located several additional code issues-one potentially very dangerous-and repaired them. I found Jolt to be an excellent service. The price is very reasonable, the quality excellent and the staff professional and affable. John runs a very tight ship, with attention paid to detail and the right way of doing things. I highly recommend Jolt Electric.

Yelp came to my rescue. I message many, called others. But they either did not have the time for small jobs or were not available to do this work for another 3 months when the hot season is done with. When I called Best Wiring Electrical, my call was received, was asked couple of questions, I asked if it can be done on a Saturday when my building is mostly empty. Even a Saturday visit was ok. He said 9 am. I was surprised that they showed up promptly on the dot. The big challenge with this small job was that they had to bring in a tall latter to 3rd floor and be able the reach the high ceiling surrounded by ceramics! One bump and it would not have a happy ending. Amid and his co worker Cory worked very well as a team, even though I had my dog pestering them from time to time. The fan went up, and unlike most fans you see which wobbles, this one is assembled perfectly. As a added bonus I asked while they are up and above if they can be kind enough to hang this ceramic lamp for me. With out any attitude this was also done for me. I'm so pleased I decided to not wait for the old man who works at the speed of a snail for my building and hire this company in stead. Their price was comparably very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this company for any electrical work. I'm so very happy to have my fan on now that the weather is hot. Thank you Amid for coming through for me.

We had an electrician come to diagnose arc fault issues. - The electrician reported that the issue was due to a particular AC using too much amperage. But when we unplug the AC - issues still persist. - The electrician claimed (without measuring anything) that the AC used 20A, but the label says 11.5A - The electrician ended by recommending I pay $5000 to upgrade the Amperage for the entire apartment I immediately called the office so they could send a different technician to re-evaluate. They stonewalled me, refused to re-evaluate the issue, or admit the absurdity of the issue First call cost $360 (already very expensive) and Colman refused to send anyone to reinspect the issue or issue a refund.

What it would take to get an electrician out to our house on a holiday? Was this a major problem with the electrical panel or was this faulty wiring in the wall? Was this a fire hazard? How much would this cost to fix? We crossed our fingers and called Nick, and he answered the call right away. He was very reassuring, and explained to us that it might be an electrical problem outside the house. He asked us to reach out to National Grid and to call him back when things were back up and running. Nick was right. A neighbor's tree was rubbing against the power line attached to our house, and the electric company was able to address it right away. (National Grid gets an honorable mention here for the quick response time.) We called Nick back to thank him and he appreciated us closing the loop.
