He was professional, efficient, clean & not only fixed my problem quickly & expertly, he made suggestions of some cost effective ways I could prevent this from happening in my entire home. He was able to make these upgrades on the spot after he expertly explained and showed me the problems. I fully intend on referring him to all of my friends and family and will not only use him for my home again, but also for my business. I am already planning to have him come back to upgrade all of my lighting now that I have someone I feel I can trust in my home and give me great suggestions and a fair price.

He shoveled out his truck and was here in the South End by 5 to diagnose and replace a very old breaker that had stopped working and showed signs of arcing. While in the panel he tightened things up and replaced a few other breakers. Given the late emergency call I thought I would be paying out the nose for the repair, but his price was unbelievably reasonable and he had everything fixed in an hour. Can't recommend James enough.

We should have asked up front about his rates, but other services have offered it up front before agreeing to come out, and we got complacent and ended up with a $400+ bill for 'weekend' rates. It just like it was a surprisingly high bill that jumped out at us after he did the work. That's on us I suppose, just be prepared to spend money, and don't hire on the weekends or after 4PM if you have the time to do so, in order to save some money. Can't really speak to the quality of work, since what he did was fairly simple, though his expertise did confirm that a replacement was needed.

Jim was the only electrician to return my call promptly and was at our home within an hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a temporary fix. He and his assistant Austin were professional, communicative, clean, and respectful--especially while we worked from home. The entire job took about a week and a half. Dave Lowe was the electrician responsible for designing and wiring my entire 4000 sqft gut…read morerenovation of our 1880s victorian house. He made such a positive impression on us for that experience that we've reached out to him for home electrical needs since the remodel, and he's been an absolute joy to work with. A few things i want to highlight: 1. Responsiveness: Dave is quick to respond and readily available; this is definitely not the case with many electricians (or contractors, for the matter). I also appreciate that once you've done business with him, he keeps you in his contacts - having a pointperson to go to who knows your house, particularly for the ins and outs of circuitry...SO helpful. 2. Professionalism: Dave is always very courteous when entering our home. For example, he is aware we don't wear shoes in the house; he's always thoughtful and asks us about expectations + puts on booties when in the house. Super helpful, given I have little kiddos running around. Another example - we had a piece of glass on a lighting fixture break in the install. Dave replaced the piece, no question asked, no cost to us. 3. Quality of work: Like I said, 4000 sqft of lighting is a lot of lighting (and electricity). We've had no issues, and honestly he was helpful in those early days when we were figuring out what the right thing to do for our home was. We even had him working with some newfangled technology (smart home stuff); he did it with ease and we're super happy with the end-product 10 for 10, happily continuing to work with Dave, and happily recommending him to all friends and family.
