Excellent workmanship. I asked for a quote to hang new drywall on a complete remodel of our 12x18 bedroom, with coved ceiling, as well as matching the knock down that was on some remaining closet panels. They are sharp and professional, they listened carefully and did everything I asked. Clean lines with smooth buildouts at butt joints, and the texture looks great. Nice touches, they kept the place clean with floor and door sheeting, moving blankets at the doors to keep our floors clean, and they cleaned up as they worked. I would hire them again.

    Awesome prep work

My experience with M G Drywall has been great! They textured all the dwelling space in my house. I had the bedrooms and a bathroom done with knockdown, another bathroom and two ceilings with smooth texture, and the rest of the house with orange peel. Service (5/5): Marcos is the owner. He came and worked with Omar and Mario to texture my walls. They were super friendly and answered questions I had. They started the work by covering everything and left making sure everything was clean. They are super neat and tidy! We did a quick walkthrough to fix any obvious issues. Orange Peel Texturing (5/5): I asked for fine texturing and they delivered it. I painted over it and it looks good. There are a few spots that's a little too thick, but that's fine. Knockdown Texturing (2/5): I had gotten the knockdown texture with the understanding that after it was painted, it would not be so rough and the texture wouldn't be too deep as the paint would fill in the gaps. It would be smoother and the texture would not be so prominent. However, once I started painting it, the texture was still very rough and deep. Like you could scratch yourself badly rough. I thought I was painting incorrectly. So, I brought in a professional painter to see if he can do anything about it. He said that too much mud was used and the texture should have been sanded. In order to fix it, I'd either have to sand it down, apply more mud, or paint at least an additional 7-8 coats. I got a second professional opinion and he said the similar things. I'm not very happy with the knockdown texturing. I spent a good amount of time sanding all the bedrooms. Smooth Texturing (4/5): Overall this was great. There were a few spots were the texture had small holes or lumps. It wasn't clear until I started painting because I started paying closer attention to details. I'd definitely hire them again. I know they will take care of me.

The perfect person for my project. Marco and crew are professional, fun, and on time. He goes the extra mile and wants everyone to be happy with his work. We needed windows and a door to my addition office and he put them in 5 hours all done including electrical because as he had promised, he brought the Electrisian with him. Drywall is next and it all happened in one week. Unbelievable !!

This review is only for the quoting process. He quoted almost $7500 just to demolish the existing walls. Pricing for project was outrageous!

Starting with Justin's prompt inspection, he objectively assessed the damage and walked me through the possibilities and next steps. He was realistic yet reassuring. Then the team of Camilo and Sophia were amazing. Arriving late in the evening they worked for hours on the water remediation job that included pulling off molding/floor boards and setting up fans/dehumidifiers. Despite the scope of the remediation growing, Camilo and Sophia showed their experience by staying calm and just working through the issues. Their professional demeanor and calm made you feel they were taking care of everything and things would turn out ok. The team provides an invaluable service in times of crisis. Bottom line, they will take care of you.

I've never had to use a Water Restoration service before so I browsed trusty Yelp and reached out to Fire & Water Damage. Glad fellow Yelp friend Karen W gave a glowing review! They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

We got a quote which was very competitive and reasonable and moved forward to setting a date for the crew to clean and do a deeper assessment. We had accidentally forgotten that we agreed for the work to start on a Thurs instead of Friday, and the office called right away to clarify and sent the team out very quickly after we sent them away. The cleaning crew themselves were great! Shu, the forewoman, was on top of it, communicated the problem and solution in a very straightforward and simple manner. Was very thorough with pictures, instructions, and her assessment. Craig identified that we may need a moisture barrier in the crawlspace to really help decrease the amount of moisture impacting the walls during the rainy season. Another quote for the closet and bathroom clean-up was sent to us, which had not changed in terms of pricing. We knew that the 2nd project would require a new quote later. After 3 days of drying, we contacted Craig to coordinate time for pick up of the equipment. We also received the finalized invoice- the cost ended up being nearly 2x the original quote, which caught us off-guard. Craig explained that the labor hours had to increased from an estimated of 4 hrs to 12 hrs and covered for travel (though we only live about 2.5 mi away from his listed office) and equipment loading time, which surprised us as it was never mentioned or called out. There was already a $100 service/trip charge, so for additional hrs counted for travel felt unreasonable. The crew was on-site for 5 hours max. He did give us a discount which was appreciated, but we felt that the quotes and pricing model were not transparent. This really disappointed us, especially given the quality of service and how easy it was to work with Craig initially. We had a 2nd project to encapsulate the crawlspace which we went with another company whose pricing ended up exactly as estimated, despite taking a 1.5 days more than anticipated.

Jose, the manager of San Leandro, did not call us back after leaving three voicemails spread out throughout the 2 weeks. That is super unprofessional! Poor workmanship and dishonest management…read more Water valve burst in my kitchen. Hardwood floor would needed to be removed and subfloor dried. Servpro put drying equipment and air movers in place. Walls were dry after 4 days. Project manager Pete Ekasone dried the wet damaged floor for a fifth day even though he knew the damaged floor would soon be taken to the dump. This ran up my bill by $200 for an extra day of labor and equipment. I complained about the unnecessary work to office manager Jose Medrano. After much discussion he eventually agreed to refund $95 for the equipment charges for 1 day of unneeded drying but I would need to pay the $105 in labor charges for 1 day of monitoring equipment that should not have been there in the first place. My requests for the $105 refund were ignored until I wrote about the dishonesty of this franchise on social media. When the work was finished, the crew ripped down the protective plastic damaging the paint in multiple places (photos attached). I was not at the job site and only learned about it after they had "finished" their work. I complained to the project manager Pete Ekasone and he informed me ServPro is not liable for any secondary damages caused by their work. Eventually I got a $200 credit on my bill for these damages. In this case the secondary damage is totally visible yet, I was not informed of it (tenants reported it later). If secondary damage occured in the subfloor I can't see it and I know Pete Ekasone won't report it to me. I have no idea how much additional "secondary damage" was caused or when I will discover it and how much it will cost to fix it. When this was all done and I attempted to pay my bill, the owner Roy Drake informed me there would be 2% surcharge for using my credit card even though the website plainly says they accept credit cards. This surcharge is illegal: oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/credit-card-surcharges The dishonesty at ServPro SanLeandro starts at the top with owner Roy Drake attempting to collect an illegal surcharge and continues with office manager Jose Medrano who wanted to charge me for labor to monitor unnecessary equipment and project manager Pete Ekasone who bills me for unnecessary work and then doesn't report the secondary damage he caused. One star is too much.

The mold dog flagged all the places that were "remediated" by all action. The drywall with mold were all taken out but unfortunately the studs with mold were just encapsulated and painted over, therefore still exposing us to molds. I've learned that the proper way of treating studs is to remove and replace and if that's not possible, sand, hepa vacuum, antimicrobal and wire brush all the mold out of the studs. Unfortunately, we learned our lesson the hard way. Please be sure to properly vet your potential mold remediation company and understand if they do things properly and rid of ALL the mold. If you need your house to be medically clean of mold, steer clear from this company. They don't care about clients, they just want to get their foot through the door, get rid of the easy mold on the drywalls and not put in the hard work to really get the mold out of the studs. They will just cover up all the mold with white sealant and call it a day. Again we had an ERMI done two years later, which stachy and chaet still showed up. Learn about your molds, these are the baddddd molds. We then took things further and hired a mold dog & she flagged all the places we remediated. They're also not IICRC certified. Wish I had done better research earlier. See photos.
