Carlos Amador came by to check on removing 2 floor tiles so that Home Depot could install my new dishwasher. Several companies wanted a lot of money for this job, but Carlos' charge to cut the tile and replace it later, after the new dishwasher was installed, was very reasonable. Even though Home Depot, with a 3-man team, failed to be able to drag out the old dishwasher (over a tiny 3/8" high piece of tile), Carlos instantly saw how it could be done. He pulled the old dishwasher out of its compartment as if it were a toy, without having to cut any tile at all, and carried it by himself to our back yard for the Home Depot installers to recycle after they finally install my new dishwasher. Out of the 15 people we called, Carlos was one of the only people willing to assemble a giant play structure for our triplet boys in the backyard. When we opened the boxes we discovered that we were missing the instruction booklet. Carlos actually started building the structure by looking at the picture on the box as my wife ran off to print off the booklet!! When he put everything together he actually did the extra work to make sure it was level by cutting extra wood and placing it underneath the play structure. It looks amazing and our boys play on it every day. At the same time, we also needed to re-caulk our shower and he did a great job at this as well. Everything was very clean. Contacted Carlos through Yelp for Drywall repair work. He may not respond the immediately but he responds! So you need to be patient with him. He came to check the work and gave very reasonable quote. I had contacted 3-4 people before him and all of them were quoting ridiculous high price for a straightforward work. We have had multiple jobs done by Carlos. He is a bit difficult to reach via yelp sometimes and because of projects but otherwise he does excellent work for reasonable prices. He doesn't cut corners - at one point during a conversion we found issues done by previous contractors and he fixed that even though it was beyond the scope of work originally agreed to. I patiently waited for 30 mins before I texted, and then I called two times, no one picked up the call so i texted again and again, and waited for 2.5 hours total, and gave up totally!!!!! Until now 3 days later, never called back to apologize or text back as a manner. I saw one review was the same issue but he called to apologized and changed the review afterwards.
