The good: * Quick to respond * Provided a professional-looking quote with a breakdown of services * Very available The bad: * The big one: electrical. I regret asking them to do electrical work, so so much. I had them replace a ceiling light fixture with an exhaust fan, and add a switch and a wall port. They did a horrible job. There's crackling, flickering, sometimes the lights and fan don't even turn on... I have to call a proper electrician now. Lesson learned, only use licensed folks. * While up in my attic, they seem to have kicked over a cable, because ever since that day one of my nest cameras has been on the fritz. * The first person I spoke to, Marcos, speaks English. He was there on the first day for a couple of hours. For the rest of the project, he wasn't there. The other person spoke a little English, but not at all enough for us to understand each other. * The caulking and replacement of shower door seals was done, but they didn't bother cleaning under and around the area before replacing. I had to remove and replace the seals myself to clean under them. I can't do anything about the caulking. * The paint job had multiple issues. Once again, they didn't clean underneath. I was told they would apply a mold-resistant primer. Now, I'm seeing bits of paint chip and fall off my ceiling. Didn't last even 3 months before it started to go bad. * There are a number of stray paint splotches, so they clearly didn't take enough care to cover surfaces before painting. * I had to call them over multiple times to fix problems that weren't there before they started. Isn't that just a joy. * One of them must have forgotten to wear shoe covers, because after they were done there were multiple places stained by this weird yellow-grey substance. Was very hard to get off the carpet! All in all, I wanted a full service hands-off job. I paid nearly $3k. I didn't get the kind of quality or service I expected. I had to clean up behind them. And I have to call in a specialist to fix the severe mess they seem to have made. read more

I called Marco after I found him on Yelp. He responded right away and show up on time. Marco was one of 5 others estimates I was reviewing. The hardest part is always choosing and I'm really happy I picked Marco. Marco basically gutted two bathrooms and a kitchen, and painted the entire interior of my rental house in Hayward. I had dry rot in my exterior window and door trim. I met with about 10 different companies/handymen before I decided to go with Marco and his team. And I'm so glad that I did! They found more dry rot than expected which included having to remove some of my stucco so they could replace the necessary studs and framing. It had been about ten years since I'd painted my house last so this smaller job turned into a big job. Here is a list of all that was done: exterior trim around windows and doors removed and replaced with PVC trim, cracks in the stucco were repaired and sealed, all new trim sealed, new front door installed, new stucco where old was removed, house, trim, and doors painted, front porch and back deck were sanded, a few boards replaced, and painted with a non-slip deck paint.
