A recent rain lead to a leak in my kitchen behind the high end stove and custom cabinetry. When the water remediation people got on there they had to cut the entire wall to the studs and treat the mold. I got multiple quotes on rebuilding the entire wall...WITHOUT having to gut the entire kitchen if you couldn't rebuild the custom cabinets and find tiles close enough to the 20-year-old travertine backsplash. I recently posted a small job to repair and repaint a ceiling in my house that had a water stain. The stain was from a leak in an upstairs toilet that had already been repaired by a plumber. Almost everyone who responded provided minimum pricing that was far beyond the scope of my small project and claimed they would need to come out to do a visual inspection before they could give me an accurate quote. Although this Review is a bit late , PLEASE take the time to read it Work was done in Feb 2018 Let me begin with how professional Carlos is, he came in to see my home gave me a solid bid and said he could do all the work in about 6 weeks. I wanted all the floors in all 3 bedrooms done, new kitchen floors, new living and family room floors. I wanted walls knocked down and paint throughout the house . Carlos was there 5 day a week on time, never late, stayed later at times to finish that days work. We has a bit of a Snaffu with the counter tops but Carlos came to the rescue. As the weeks went on , I kept adding additional projects like, ceiling fans in rooms, fix the bathroom fan, adding sconces to fireplace. Not once did he say no and to top off how wonderful I think he is. HE finished on time and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how my home turned out. If I could give Carlos and his crew a higher rating I would. If I could give 10 stars I would. I had a family room project that was too big and complicated for a handyman but too small for a general contractor. Carlos fit the bill perfectly. I wanted to build a sheetrock A-V and display cabinet for the family room and have a sliding door removed. Removing the sliding door, sheetrocking the interior, and replacing stucco on the exterior was a straightforward job which Carlos did excellently. Building the cabinet to my specifications was a different matter entirely. It required very careful framing and sheetrocking with rounded corners, appropriate texturing, and built-in strip lighting. I have attached photos of the framing and final cabinet (minus painting and glass shelving which I will do myself). The finished project speaks for itself. Despite a long commute to South San Jose, Carlos and Luis were on time for 11 straight days, and even worked one Saturday. Working through the exact details of the framing was complicated, but Carlos was always beyond pleasant. I just can't say enough about how pleased I am with how the whole project turned out. read more

Carlos and his partner did a couple of things in my house, and I am very happy how they turned out and the price was right too. The ceiling in my kitchen was ruined after the skylight leaked. They patched it and blended in so well that it's impossible to see where the damage was. To me, it's still a bit of magic how they did it so well. They also patched the wall in the bathroom that was ruined from the moisture, painted the whole thing, installed a new toilet and a vanity. Everything was done top-notch! Carlos is awesome. He repainted some ugly walls in our townhouse a couple years ago, so we called on him again to repaint all of our bathrooms, upstairs and bedroom walls and trim. He and his team started on short notice, and worked super hard to finish in a week so that we could move in on-time. We had a slight miscommunication during the initial quote process, so the scope was larger than he initially thought, but he still rolled with it and managed to finish the whole project. He gave me an estimate of the amount of paint needed, and I purchased ahead of time. But I think I remember that last time, he was also willing to purchase the paint himself once I gave him the colors. Anyway, the point is that he's flexible and easy to work with, easy to communicate with over phone or text. He's also super knowledgable in other areas.
