These guys are the best. I hired them to do interior painting on my art studio. They did a great job at a reasonable price and quickly. They found damage which they also repaired - full service! Then the studio needed a new roof, which they also did well, quickly, reasonably. They are very communicative. And Orlando's a nice guy to boot. read more

I had a fantastic experience with O and A Remodeling Service! Orlando was a pleasure to speak with--very friendly and quick to respond to my inquiry. He promptly sent Jony, who was incredibly professional, polite, and clearly skilled at what he does. I had attempted to do some of the drywall taping and mudding on my own, and let's just say it didn't go well. Jony had to reverse some of my work and redo it properly, and he did so with great care and attention to detail. He even went the extra mile by sanding the ceiling to make everything look perfect. The price was very reasonable for the quality of work delivered. I highly recommend working with this company--they're reliable, professional, and produce excellent results! read more

Orlando offered a free estimate, gave me fair pricing, and completed the job in a few hours. He and his crew are trustworthy and reliable.

O and A were extremely professional and prioritized getting the job done right. When any issues came up they were very positive in presenting options to resolve them. Their main goal was client satisfaction. This included working in the rain and on Saturday to get the project done before the holidays. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

Orlando and his crew have now completed several jobs at our home. This last job was to replace 2 windows and install a new one. In addition, he also removed a closet from one of our rooms. We are incredibly picky and have very high expectations from the people we work with, Orlando and his crew were communicative, on-time, worked hard, worked incredibly neat and clean (one of the cleanest we've had) and the final work was impeccable and I was able to check all the work through the process to assess any issues. We highly recommend Orlando and plan on having him back for other jobs at our home. M&C read more

Orlando and his crew are amazing. We had a number of drywall, plastering and painting jobs that needed to be handled quickly last spring. while other contractors were onsite. We had contractors all over the house! In the chaos, Orlando and his crew continued to focus on their own work and patiently navigated around the other contractors. I was very pleased with how all of the jobs they did for us came out. They were excellent at communicating and flexible with some unexpected scheduling changes. read more

I had a really great experience with The Rock Handyman. We had several issues in our house that we needed resolved before we moved out in a couple weeks - repairing drywall and painting in two areas of the house due to leaks, broken door handle, leaking door, flaky lighting, and a stuck toilet. They gave us a quote that was below what we expected to pay (and was about the same price as another company charged to just remove one piece of drywall). I was almost skeptical that it was too cheap and that we'd regret it, but they really pulled through. They were extremely professional and respectful of our house (i.e. not tracking dirt in, being quiet while our baby was sleeping, and making sure we could use rooms overnight that they were working on). They said they could do ALL the fixes in one week, and I was actually skeptical given how long our other contractors took to do a subset of these tasks. However, they finished in 3 days! And they also didn't charge extra for looking at the toilet last minute (that wasn't part of the original quote). Overall, it was a great value for quality work. I would definitely want to work with them for any future projects we have. read more

I made a mess pairing and stripping our front door. I received many quotes which seemed overly expensive to me. Orlando gave me a very fair quote. He sent his painter Johnny who did an amazing job. He was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through everything that needed to be done. It was a bigger job than I realized and Johnny made it look easy. I'm really grateful for their professionalism and a job extremely well done. The next time I need something painted I will call Orlando first! Thank you both so much. read more

I reached out to several companies and Orlando immediately understood what I was envisioning for my accent wall. I had my wall retextured and completely smoothed out, custom board & batten then, painted. The job took about 4 days and the crew who came to my home was skilled, professional, and reliable. I was so impressed with the quality of work and the cleanliness of the job. We had our master bedroom done and we were still able to sleep in it every night despite work being done in the room! Orlando's crew completely covered and protected every inch that would be affected. They left the home spotless and I'm so happy with the result. Thank you Orlando! I can't wait for the next project. read more

Ceilin earned a 5-star review for O&H Remodeling. He got all the tasks done quickly. He did it so well that the city inspector who came the next day was pleased. He's friendly and communicates professionally. Ceilin left no messes for me to clean up. He arrived on time and finished on schedule. read more

We've now used the Rock Handyman twice - this time to patch / paint the many, many holes we had from an electrical retrofit. They did some great work trying to keep the mess to a minimum and artistically trying to match the color of some exterior patching to our brick. They worked quickly and we will definitely use them again in the future. read more

Pros - Lowest bid. Responsive. Nice people. Kept the site clean during duration of work. Cons - Questionable quality of work. Damaged first floor ceiling and drilled through HVAC duct when securing second floor subfloor. Maybe it is an accident, but it makes you wonder if they are really experts in the construction field. I would consider Orlando again for basic jobs like drywall repair but would probably look around for larger renovation. read more

Please DO NOT USE this Company aka The rock Construction Specialist. There are no such things as specialist as this person is. Orlando Hernandez is unprofessional, Malingers, and No integrity to his work ethics-they leave you hanging without follow through. They said they will give you estimates, time and messages- was all a lie. They keep you waiting until your patient overflows. My patients run out when i call they're bad behavior. They argued back, they dropped the job they supposed to do and have the arrogance to reverse that is my fault. I am the costumer here and i have been waiting since early April 2023 to do there job but it never came. DON'T WASTE your TIME/BREATH to this people. They are unprofessional, arrogance and malingers. read more

The Rock Handyman was the quickest to respond and get us a quote, which was thorough and competitive. We decided not to go ahead with the job, for reasons unrelated to the quote, but we were very appreciative of the excellent communication and attention to detail we received. read more

We had significant water damage in the bathroom that required removing a good portion of the walls, floors, bathroom fixtures, and the bedroom floors adjacent to it. What was left to work with were basically bare studs, a gutted bathroom, and unlevel concrete floors. Orlando, Gloria, and the entire team did a fantastic job restoring the rooms to their former comfort and beauty. From the beginning of the project to the very end, they were great with communication (ie. the initial consultation, keeping me updated on the work completed, and concerns that I should consider, etc). They showed up promptly each day, right on time, and worked nonstop throughout the day. We have a family space/garage leading up to the room, so it was a comfort to see how clean they were as brought tools/supplies in and out of the rooms. At the end of each day, they neatly stored their supplies out of sight so we could have the space for the evening. Lastly, the folks were all so friendly and courteous to work with. I had a great chat with one of the team members (Jose?) on some hobbies we had in common. All in all, it was a great outcome and a wonderful experience. I will certainly be using them again for my next project. Thanks again, Orlando, Gloria and team! read more

Orlando and his crew replaced old, inexpertly DIYed and water damaged paneling walls in our basement with real drywall, and was able to adjust the project when we discovered there had never been any insulation in the walls and to do a little electrical work so that outlets were installed at the normal height instead of in the middle of walls. We plan to ask Orlando if he is interested and available in any future project because he and the crew were reliable, communication was clear and frequent, the project was done in the timeframe and at the price agreed upon, and the work was gorgeous. Even better was that they were really thoughtful - we were also having the floor epoxied after the walls, and he offered to come back to install the baseboards after the floor had cured so it would be easier for the epoxy crew and look nicer at the end. Orlando does many kinds of work but will tell you if something is not an area of expertise, which I also appreciate. Tip: Orlando's preference is for Zelle. read more

O & A Remodeling SRVC - Impeccable finish and outlet where you would expect one - General Contractors Near Me

We had a good experience with Orlando and Jonny - we had some mold / water damage and while we had the mold removed by a different specialist, Orlando / Jonny put down new flooring, replaced drywall, painted, replaced / painted trim and also sealed the exterior area that we believe the leak came from. I was happy with how quickly I received an estimate and how tidy they were. We are really happy with their work and we'd use them again for any issues we come across in the future. Thanks so much! read more

Orlando and his crew did a great job in removing old lead paint in our entrance hallway. They successfully removed the lead paint (multiple layers) and repainted the hallway. During the process they we're even able to obtain and replace some old wall base moldings that were damaged. Orlando was very responsive and his crew paid attention to detail and went above and beyond in completing the project. We enjoyed the quality of work so much that we had them paint our living room as well. Great job over all! read more

Orlando and crew are really good!! He was very prompt on request a quote, came over, checked out the project and started promptly the following day. Called for ceiling repair. Received quick response, good quality work and great value.

Very recently we hired Orlando and his crew to paint the exterior of our house. I almost never bother to write reviews, but I will make an exception here: They were superb. From the bidding process to the final touches, everthing was professional, courteous, on time and on budget. Our house was a big, complicated job. Their bid was fair (not the highest and not the lowest), their communication and scheduling were clear and consistent, their skill is top-notch, they paid attention to details, they didn't cut corners, they followed up with every single question and detail we had . . and they didn't stop until the job was totally complete. We interviewed quite a few companies, and it's always nerve-wracking to undertake such a large project, but we could not be happier. We made the right choice. read more

An absolute pleasure! Orlando and his assistant installed a kitchen exhaust for us. Orlando is a quick communicator, punctual, and thorough. He shows up when he says he will and gets the job completed in a timely manner. When the job was done, there wasn't a spec of dust left on the area worked on. I highly recommend him, and would definitely do business with him again. read more

First of all, they were responsive. Orlando actually physically show up for an estimate. These days there were people who thought that they could do an estimate by just doing a video call. Not sure how. The estimate Orlando provided was right on the ball park. So at least he was being fair. The job was a gate and a wood awning over a window. I had some design in mind and they were able to carry out precisely. We talked throughout the course of the project and Orlando and Jose provided their opinion on certain aspect. I thought that it really turned out quite well. Already I was talking to him about the roof of the same house. read more

We are very happy to have had the Rock Construction team install three toilets including one washlet as well as some ceiling drywall repair work. Orlando is incredibly responsive, super courteous and very knowledgeable. Each team member took great care and pride in their work. In particular, we were concerned about dust spreading but Santos took great care to not allow that to happen. The installation of the toilets went smoothly and although not a very big job, the work was done flawlessly. We look forward to working with The Rock Construction Specialist team again. read more

I can't say enough good things about Orlando and the company. They did a reasonably large project for me which involved taking down walls, new flooring, sheetrock , painting etc. and also some roof and gutter work. Their estimate was very reasonable and I now have been superb in every way and I now have a room that looks like new, plus they figured out where the leaks came from which the company that. had put in the new roofs had not figured out! The workers were punctual, the work was done professionally and in a timely manner, communication was open throughout (the work lasted more than a week), and the result is outstanding. Orlando had been recommended by my son and daughter in law because of the incredible work they had done for them in Kensington and also the very reasonable price that ihey charge and they were 100% right. I am recommending them to all and would hire them again in a heartbeat. PS. I think the name Handyman is underestimating what they do, they are a full service construction outfit! read more

Orland's crew did an outstanding job on my project, removing old wall trim located just under the ceiling throughout my old house (plaster-on-lath construction). Orlando was communicative, came over and did a walk-through with me, and I was able to schedule the work quickly, and the cost was highly competitive. The quality of the work was high, with care taken with the underlying plaster walls, and they left all the walls smooth and ready for priming. Thanks to the team for high-quality work and an easy experience. read more

Rock the Handyman provided a great experience updating my kitchen. I had my cabinets painted/ modified as well as my countertops and sink replaced. They also did a great job replacing the overhead fluorescents with dimmable embedded lighting. Orlando provided a detailed estimate and timeframe for the job. This was my first project of this size, but I did go into it knowing that I would have to be patient due to scheduling and supply hiccups. Whenever there was an anything outside of scope, Orlando would communicate so there were no surprises. I found Orlando and his team to be highly skilled and hard workers. Communication is key for a project like this, and Orlando always came through. I will work with him again in the near future! read more
