I had a really great experience with The Rock Handyman. We had several issues in our house that we needed resolved before we moved out in a couple weeks - repairing drywall and painting in two areas of the house due to leaks, broken door handle, leaking door, flaky lighting, and a stuck toilet. They gave us a quote that was below what we expected to pay (and was about the same price as another company charged to just remove one piece of drywall). I was almost skeptical that it was too cheap and that we'd regret it, but they really pulled through. They were extremely professional and respectful of our house (i.e. not tracking dirt in, being quiet while our baby was sleeping, and making sure we could use rooms overnight that they were working on). They said they could do ALL the fixes in one week, and I was actually skeptical given how long our other contractors took to do a subset of these tasks. However, they finished in 3 days! And they also didn't charge extra for looking at the toilet last minute (that wasn't part of the original quote). Overall, it was a great value for quality work. Damaged first floor ceiling and drilled through HVAC duct when securing second floor subfloor. Maybe it is an accident, but it makes you wonder if they are really experts in the construction field. We had significant water damage in the bathroom that required removing a good portion of the walls, floors, bathroom fixtures, and the bedroom floors adjacent to it. What was left to work with were basically bare studs, a gutted bathroom, and unlevel concrete floors. Orlando, Gloria, and the entire team did a fantastic job restoring the rooms to their former comfort and beauty. From the beginning of the project to the very end, they were great with communication (ie. the initial consultation, keeping me updated on the work completed, and concerns that I should consider, etc). They showed up promptly each day, right on time, and worked nonstop throughout the day. We have a family space/garage leading up to the room, so it was a comfort to see how clean they were as brought tools/supplies in and out of the rooms. At the end of each day, they neatly stored their supplies out of sight so we could have the space for the evening. Lastly, the folks were all so friendly and courteous to work with. I had a great chat with one of the team members (Jose?) on some hobbies we had in common. All in all, it was a great outcome and a wonderful experience. Orlando and his crew replaced old, inexpertly DIYed and water damaged paneling walls in our basement with real drywall, and was able to adjust the project when we discovered there had never been any insulation in the walls and to do a little electrical work so that outlets were installed at the normal height instead of in the middle of walls. We plan to ask Orlando if he is interested and available in any future project because he and the crew were reliable, communication was clear and frequent, the project was done in the timeframe and at the price agreed upon, and the work was gorgeous. Even better was that they were really thoughtful - we were also having the floor epoxied after the walls, and he offered to come back to install the baseboards after the floor had cured so it would be easier for the epoxy crew and look nicer at the end. First of all, they were responsive. Orlando actually physically show up for an estimate. These days there were people who thought that they could do an estimate by just doing a video call. Not sure how. The estimate Orlando provided was right on the ball park. So at least he was being fair. The job was a gate and a wood awning over a window. I can't say enough good things about Orlando and the company. They did a reasonably large project for me which involved taking down walls, new flooring, sheetrock , painting etc. and also some roof and gutter work. Their estimate was very reasonable and I now have been superb in every way and I now have a room that looks like new, plus they figured out where the leaks came from which the company that. had put in the new roofs had not figured out! The workers were punctual, the work was done professionally and in a timely manner, communication was open throughout (the work lasted more than a week), and the result is outstanding. Rock the Handyman provided a great experience updating my kitchen. I had my cabinets painted/ modified as well as my countertops and sink replaced. They also did a great job replacing the overhead fluorescents with dimmable embedded lighting. Orlando provided a detailed estimate and timeframe for the job. This was my first project of this size, but I did go into it knowing that I would have to be patient due to scheduling and supply hiccups.
