The bigger furniture couldn't be moved to a different floor. In 2 1/2 days they took everything up by moving furniture back and forth and then replaced the old stuff with luxury vinyl planking. It looks great now and we appreciated Rhema's willingness to be flexible with our situation. TJ made sure we understood what they were able to do with a cement floor that was not ideal to work with and supplied workarounds that were fine. Everybody was professional and friendly and they did their best to keep the mess in check. Highly recommended. The flooring looks great, and the price was definitely reasonable for the work.

We are very happy with the Epic Floors -- the total experience, start to finish. Epic walked us…read morethrough the entire selection/planning process. Janis and owner Tom answered all our questions, kept us apprised of product delivery and installation dates. Every home has its own idiosyncrasies, imperfections that force installers to improvise solutions few homeowners can come up with on their own. Epic's installers killed it. Owner Tom stopped by 3x to see how things were going, to answer questions and see if we or his team needed anything. Everything went super smoothly. We especially appreciate installer Louie's advice. I thought I wanted transition pieces where the wood floor met tile. Louie scowled his disapproval and suggested another idea with better aesthetics: With expert workmanship, he and his partner created a clean line between the two surfaces (no transition piece). Beautiful! My idea: circa 1980. Louie's solution: Timeless, classic, elegant. Louie could have stuck with the plan. He gave us something way better. Before starting this project, I thought: I'd really like to patronize a small local business -- even if that meant paying more. Surprisingly, Epic's price came in lower than the big box. We are thrilled with the results and will return to Epic for our next floor project.

The project included sanding and refinishing the existing worn oak wooden floors through-out our main living area (kitchen, eating area, entry way and hallways) and repairing damage due to scratching, gouging and wear and replacing broken wooden vents. In addition, we contracted Floors U Walk On to install and finish a distinctive oak floor in our dining room that needed to merge and match the existing flooring. Veny, one of the owners, met with us and advised us regarding the project and gave several recommendations, including options we hadn't even expected were available. We took most of his expert advice and are glad we did. Our expectations were exceeded. The entire project was completed in two days and the floors are absolutely stunning. The transitions from old to new areas are seamless. The refinished floors look amazing despite the prior wear and indentations due moving furniture. What made the project enjoyable is the excellent communication by the owners, attention to our needs and follow-through. In addition, the project team put up extensive plastic barriers to protect our home from dust and did a thorough clean-up afterwards.

While the job was completed at a reasonable price, it was more trouble than it should have been. I'd choose another company if I had to do it over again. Despite paying Dan to handle all aspects of the install, his contractors relied on my condo building engineer to complete some of the work, and even left early before the job was finished. When Dan sent a final payment request without following up on the end results, I messaged him to let him know there were some areas that required touching up. As a paying customer, I didn't think it was unreasonable to let him know that some areas were not completed to my satisfaction, but he didn't respond well to this communication and got very defensive. Another resident in my building reported a similar experience with Dan. Eventually, one of his contractors came back out and begrudgingly completed the requested touch-ups. A little less than a year after the install, I had some issues with an area of the install. I reached out to Dan for recommendations, but he never responded.

I was also selling a condo which had very worn floors that needed refinishing. Dan Corvo came, evaluated & made recommendations that were all amazing. For the bungalow, he suggested I go for a darker color to match the wood. He asked something like, " do you want to refinish or restore?" I was a little tentative but decided to listen to the expert. I am so glad I did!! They are stunning!! As for the condo, he suggested I don't use a stain. Just refinish & protect. They are beautiful, light & clean looking. Of course, they could have made more money if they had also stained the floors, but suggesting otherwise proves they care about customers more than the almighty dollar. Last but not least, all the workers on both jobs were nice, respectful and cleaned up after the project. The price for both was very fair. I am so glad I used Great floors & listened to Dan.
