Radek suggested keeping the (expensive) maple floors, sanding and then stained with a dark brown stain to cover up what the sanding would not get out. This is the 2nd review we posted regarding our experience with the flooring contractor. The job was completed on Monday February 14, 2022. Overall we appreciate the crew meeting out deadline and stay in budget. However, we were not happy with the quality and some mistakes the crew made (please refer to the prior post and the chat history). After sharing our perspectives, we received very defensive responses. We paid in full anyways when the job was complete. Even though there's incomplete work, we decided not to have the contractor come back because we went to Floor and Decor and learned that the approach proposed by the contractor won't fix the issue. Almost a month later on March 13, 2022, we received another defensive text from the contractor reiterating the mistakes were not their fault after he read our Yelp review. We went with World Flooring and More after getting several quotes for our stairs. Radek was the only person we had out who could do everything we wanted: fix the squeaky stairs, sand/refinish them, and sand/paint the risers. For all that work, his price was very reasonable. The job ended up taking a bit more effort than he had anticipated (extra prep removing staples and sanding, and an extra day+), but the guys worked hard to make sure the end product was right. Would not recommend. I inquired with this company via Yelp to get a quote. Very reasonable pricing through the app. When he gets to my home, the price of the install of laminate doubles from what online said, price of underlayment TRIPLES, and the cost of demo even goes up 50%. What a joke. I know the exact amount of the SQFT of my unit since I just bought/surveyed it. I ask why the change? "Ohhh the square footage is larger", he didn't even walk my whole condo! Radoslaw was super fast to respond to every question, this may seem normal, but I ask a lot of questions. To the point my mortgage broker told me not to talk to him until 2-3 days from closing. Radik installed new laminate flooring on top of underlayment that we bought on Amazon. The team came in, no small talk, no wasting time, started working on cleaning the floors right away to put the underlayment down. My wife is picky, like "I'd like a cheeseburger with nothing on it but beef patty, also no bun" (Just beef basically... type of picky). But even she loved the flooring installation quality. We used Radek and his company after getting plenty of estimates. Not only was he incredibly responsive, but he came out and got us a reasonable estimate within days. We had this crew refinish our floors in are whole home and we could not be happier with the result. The team worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. They also did a bunch of demolition work for us and saved lots of headache in that process. We will definitely use this crew in the future and have already recommended them to friends in need of flooring/demo work. read more

We made the mistake of hiring World Flooring for epoxy work, which they falsely claimed to be experts in yet completely messed it up. They did not have the skill to complete this work and should never have taken on an epoxy project. It appears they may have subcontracted this work but did not disclose this information to us despite us asking. Working with Radek was extremely challenging. There was poor communication throughout the project. He ignored and did not respond to our emails, texts and calls on multiple occasions. We asked to see samples and techniques of the epoxy work before and during the work and he did not provide it. There were spike marks and bubbles throughout the floors. There was sharp debris, hair, dust, and dirt embedded in the epoxy as part of the final delivery. There were cut and trip hazards throughout. The design and technique had poor quality. He left the project for 2 weeks for vacations and other jobs and we had our pets, kids, and elderly parents living in a hazardous construction zone for over a month. He also ruined the stair work that we hired him for and the returned after 2 weeks to fix it after we had to stress the urgency multiple times. We had to constantly call and text to get him to respond and finish work. We had to chase him down multiple times with no response to even sign the basic contract. He missed the planned completion and delivery date by over 4 weeks delivered a horribly unacceptable result. He did not show up on the days or times he said else would and we waited over 11hrs for him over two days. On top of all the extremely poor communication, poor craftsmanship, and delays, he never once admitted that the project was delivered with poor quality and never offered to fix at no cost. He tried to sell us a new floor as a new project costing thousands of dollars more and disregarded the bad epoxy job. He made it seem like he was giving a discount but still quoted a significantly higher amount for fixing his mess. He only seemed interested in responding to us when he knew he was going to make more money from it. They over committed, underdelivered and should never have taken on this epoxy and wood floor project. We are beyond disappointed with the low quality of service, lack of craftsmanship, and extremely poor communication we received. There was a general lack of business professionalism while working with Radek. We had to resort to firing Radek mid project and hiring another more reliable and professional company to finish the job the right way and at a lower cost that what Radek was quoting, including the free labor that he quoted. He said that he would offer a refund but we received no money back from this business. Out of the $32K+ contract, he kept $30K+ and did not finish the work that was committed in the contract. We lost over $15k from this project. We certainly did not get what we paid for from World Flooring. Our experience with this business proved they were highly unethical and fraudulent while working on the project with us. We have detailed documentation including pictures, videos, phone logs, email and more to confirm all our experiences and feedback. Overall, this was one of the worst flooring contractors we have ever had over the past 25 years of multiple flooring projects, and we wish we had never worked with Radek and World Flooring and More. read more

I would highly recommend World Flooring for your flooring needs. I've had squeaky floors in my 1929 Bungalow for the 23 years I have lived here. I have hardwoods downstairs and am installing new carpet upstairs. Radek repaired my squeaky dining room floors easily. His attention to detail was remarkable. He uncovered construction issues in my upstairs addition, removed and replaced the plywood (where necessary) so they floors would no longer creep and squeak. He also removed old drywall in the basement to shore up that area. He was very professional, timely and left the house in great shape. He is very honest and his prices are reasonable. I was disappointed with both the result and lack of professionalism of the crew. They locked themselves out of the house which we had vacated for the duration of the project. Debris was left on the front porch overnight. The transition from the hallway to the kitchen was not only unsightly but a large dip from the sanding of the wood was evident. The transition from the kitchen to porch was clunky. The work completely lacked esthetic. Go elsewhere. First off, he lies. Second, he's unreliable. Initially, I thought it was going to be a positive experience with Radek. It deteriorated from there. Although the floor refinishing was good, it wasn't any better than I could have gotten from another wood flooring company and without the unprofessional headaches. Radek committed to tiling two additional floors in my house after he refinished the first floor. He tore out the old flooring then stopped communicating (I'm out of state) until I had to ask him what the heck was going on. He never told me his wife and him were expecting a baby when he committed to the job. I was understanding when I found out but he just dropped off the jobs. Why do you plan additional jobs when a due date for a baby is usually pretty known? I was stuck with no additional backup and it was delaying all my other contractors during this rehab. Also, his guys left messes, which included removing the electrical panel door and not replacing it. This door was consequently was picked up by a junk hauler and thrown out during a debris removal. Radek promised over and over he would replace it (we are talking $15 here). He never replaced it. I cannot stand liars and unprofessional contractors. I'm letting the other contractor who referred him to me know that he should not be recommended. I would have done my own research and found a better contractor. Again, go elsewhere. read more

Radick kept me updated with texts and photos throughout the entire process and they applied felt pads to my furniture before replacing it. If you are looking for someone to refinish your floors, then look no further! These guys are top notch and do incredible work. My floors in my rental building have never looked so amazing! This would have been a 5 star review, except that I also had them paint the trim in one of my rentals and it was a disaster. They only did 1 coat so there was lots of streaking (which I can deal with) but the real issue was that they got paint on the wood floors all along the baseboards. What made it worse was then they put the clear coat (or whatever it's called) over the pain on the floors, so there was no way to really get it off without removing the baseboards, refinishing the floors, and reinstalling the baseboards. I had to get another painter in and spend more money to try and fix the damage. He did give me a discount due to the issue. Ugh... such a disappointment for such amazing looking floors. I will use these guys again, just not for painting. read more

We have had multiple dealings with Radek (World Flooring) and I cannot say enough good things about him and his workers. We first contacted Radek when we were getting ready to put our home on the market. We had a flooring emergency when we were in the process of listing our home and needed repairs quickly. He was amazing and extremely responsive. The second time we contacted him was when we had purchased our new home in the western suburbs and wanted hardwood installed in our second floor bedrooms. He responded quickly and installed our floors within a month. The workers were professional but also friendly. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. Radek and World Flooring really saved us. We were 3 weeks away from closing on the sale of our condo when the upstairs neighbors water heater busted, flooding our unit. We had soggy drywall and soaked/ warped hardwood floor. After runaround with various insurance companies, we only had 10 days before closing to repair the damage. That's where Radek stepped in. World Flooring was in our unit working the day after we contracted with them. They replaced flooring and hung drywall and painted on time and on budget, even though the floor was more damp than they anticipated. The finished product looked great. Not only did he not provide an estimate as he stated; after 3 attempts (over a 4 week period), to contact him he communicated back that the quote would be done 'that day'. Nothing.
