They appeared before a judge in Rolling Meadows District 3 Court last month to resolve the matter. Miletic had contracted Bathhaus in March for a complete kitchen redesign to his home for an estimated $2,000 design fee, plus a $2,000 deposit for product purchases. However Leslie Haynes, who is Eiring's wife and design architect for the job, said Miletic was billed 35 hours for the design, which was more than estimated because the homeowner kept wanting new floor plans. COVID-19 cases are no longer dropping, leaving endgame uncertain " Advertisement Skip Ad "The design development was at a greater depth than we could have imagined or predicted," Haynes said after the court hearing. Because the design "had morphed into an entire first floor remodel," Eiring said, the project required more work hours. So Eiring increased the bill that Miletec disputed. In the end, Eiring said he agreed to lower the charge by $800. "It's important to know we are eating $800 in the design fee, and he still picketed us, twice," Haynes said. "We are very concerned about this. We are in the business of pleasing and serving customers," Eiring said, adding Bathhaus has operated in Barrington for 15 years and was in Lake Zurich for 10 years. " In court, Associate Judge Joel Greenblatt told Miletic the law does not allow him to "stalk and harass" people. "Stalking is a serious crime. I see here everyday where people suffer at the hands of others," Greenblatt said. "You have no right to picket, which can be construed as stalking. You should know it causes a reasonable person fear." Greenblatt also said the men were in the wrong court to settle their differences, suggesting they appear in a different court that oversees breach of contract cases. "It's a dispute, gentlemen. Deal with it appropriately," he said. "They were screaming at our customers," Haynes said. Eiring said no construction had started on Miletic's house

Please take this into consideration, especially if you are installing a natural stone…read more Stephen was nice, but I cannot express how completely unsatisfied I am with his company. Our shower renovation was an absolute disaster. When they installed our marble floor and shower tile, it was visibly not sealed properly, as dark spots were visible on the tile where the water hit. We were told the tile was sealed 5 times and that it was the tile that was just porous. There was also excess grout on the tile that was sealed into the bathroom floor. Stephen also told us it was not necessary to move the shower valve from the bath height to shower height, which looks very weird now that the shower floor was raised 6 inches from where the tub was. 6 weeks later, black mold appeared all along the faces of the bottom row of shower tiles. Stephen came back to reseal it with a different sealer, and afterwards the entire shower had uneven coloring, with permanent dark drippy spots and wiping patterns. A marble specialist concluded that there is a moisture problem stemming from the initial installation of the tile, and there was likely a chemical reaction that occurred between them cleaning off the mold and applying the sealer the second time. His opinion is that it wouldn't be worth trying to salvage the tile. Even if he sanded down and refinished the tile there is no guarantee how far down the damage goes. Once we got the opinion of the marble specialist, Stephen has ignored my calls and emails and refuses to take responsibility for his mistakes. I would never recommend him to anyone.

If you're planning a kitchen or bathroom remodel, I can't recommend Top Shelf Cabinets enough…read more Like most homeowners, my wife and I started the process feeling pretty overwhelmed. Cabinet selection, layout decisions, functionality, design--it's a lot if you're not in the industry. Working with Marc and Matt made the entire experience far easier than we expected. They took the time to understand how our family actually uses the space and helped guide us toward a layout that made sense for our daily routine. Their recommendations balanced functionality with a modern, clean design that completely transformed our kitchen. What really stood out was their experience and guidance throughout the process. They weren't just selling cabinets--they were helping us make smart decisions about our home. That kind of expertise made a big difference and gave us confidence in the investment we were making. It's now been over 2 years since the remodel, and the quality has held up beautifully. Our kitchen cabinets are usually the first thing people notice when they walk into our home, and the kitchen has become one of our favorite spaces to spend time in. If you want quality cabinetry and a team that will genuinely guide you through the process, Top Shelf Cabinets is a great choice.

A beautiful, complete remodeling of the kitchen, baths, floors, etc:…read more Excellent design advice and quality workmanship resulted in a wonderful home. Cabinets Plus did a full remodel in 2018 of the kitchen and both baths, hardwood floor, closets, doors and wood trim. Melissa and Linda's design advice was extremely helpful and they deserve full credit for how beautiful the kitchen and bathrooms look, not to mention the efficient storage. Their advice on other remodeling issues was very valuable, as they could visualize better than me how some of my ideas would actually look when combined, and the result was that I went ahead with great suggestions where otherwise I would have stayed with safer choices that would not have looked as nice. I came into the project with some design requirements (existing furniture and heirloom rugs) and a few ideas, but I could never have put together as fine a design as they did, nowhere near as good. When technical questions arose during the design, they Kent and his people were unstinting in laying out the technical facts so we could make the best choice. I'm very happy with the suppliers they suggested for plumbing and electrical, who were also helpful, and the products we settled on look great and work well--and again their guidance led me to make good choices I might not otherwise have considered. (So a tip of the hat to Banner Plumbing, Northwest Electric, and Abt.) The remodeling teams did excellent work, and what's more they were very careful to not make a mess or unnecessary noise, which pleased my condo neighbors. All the neighbors, condo board and management company had nothing but good things to say about them. Word of mouth counts: A former neighbor recommended Cabinets Plus, and my discussions with them gave me confidence that they would do a good job. I visited several remodeling companies but got the best vibes from Cabinets Plus. If I ever do another remodeling I will go with them.

Designers Point Review…read more What a wonderful team!!! I started working with Karen & Dick in the fall of 2024. I wanted to take the time to design and find just the right finishes. I did have very strong ideas that may not be for everyone and Karen was able to adjust her design ethos to mine. So, Karen & Dick worked on design, Ed on construction and Dawna on financials. There are many more aspects of the project and people involved. The entire crew consisted of people who are masters at their craft. They were respectful of our time and our home. We were quoted 6-8 weeks for a full Kitchen remodel. 98% was done in 5 1/2 weeks. The budget was firm and detailed. Any changes made during the project were noted and costs were adjusted. No Surprises! I made the changes and the crew adjusted to the work. Make sure you know what you want. Speak up and they will work with you to find what works best for you.
