From the moment we called to the time the work was completed, it was about 1 week start (quote sent and reviewed) to finish (work completed and paid). They sanded and perfected trim and recently replaced drywall, and primed and painted walls, ceiling, and trim. They were able to use the specific paint brand, quality and color that we selected without a significant price increase. We felt they offered a great value and we appreciated that they offered a discount for cash. Petr came in the beginning and at the end to ensure we were satisfied with the work quality. Sharing a few photos of completed work for a sense of interior quality, as many projects featured here are of exterior paint projects or in-progress projects. Overall, we recommend Signature Paint and we would work with them again on future projects.

I like that he suggested painting the entire kitchen ceiling and not just a section to keep a uniform look. Two men came for the estimate but one man came out for the job which was fine, he did a decent job by himself. Price was fair to boot. However, there was a slight issue. The contractor caused some very light damage to my 75 year-old hardwood floors that have been resurfaced. I did not see it initially because it was late when he finished and the light didn't catch it. I called him the next day to let him know my floor had been damaged and he came by later to view. After a little talking back and forth(not arguing, totally professional) he agreed to give me some of my money back. I had mentioned doing some work on another painting project and he said he'd give me a discount that project. While he did give me my money back, he was not enthusiastic the 2nd time around about the 2nd project. For example, he gave me an initial estimate but when I sent follow ups with questions he said he'd get back and ultimately didn't. This wasn't the case at first. Coincidence? Perhaps it was. Still I can't say that I'd hire this company again. The work was acceptable but ghosting me on the potential 2nd project(especially since you offered a monetary credit due to you damaging my floors) was/is not.

FIVE DAYS later with no response emailed them again. Got boilerplate excuse (busy season, miscommunication, blah, blah) saying I'd have a quote by email. I followed up TWO DAYS later, and got a quote with a two page list of conditions, one of which required a 50% deposit with NO COMMITMENT for date(s) the service would be provided. Also they listed credit card as an acceptable payment method but DID NOT reveal that they assessed a 3% service charge (I had to ASK in a separate communication). Cannot comment on quality of the actual service I was requesting because I declined the quotation. If they CANNOT communicate in the quotation stage, how am I supposed to trust them by just GIVING them money in advance and no commitment for the work?

Imagine coming home for the new year and seeing your kitchen "raining." What a way to start 2025. I…read moredefinitely underestimated how slow water damage is until what I thought was a very small leak from my upstairs neighbor grew from a 1/4-centimeter gap to over 3 inches. I remembered how much I liked Adrian when he fixed our screen door locks and painted our exterior doors, but I didn't think Lookswell Painting did any kind of mounting or cabinet repairs. After an exhausting amount of estimates and insurance calls, I finally contacted them thinking, "The worst they can tell me is 'no.'" To my delight, they agreed to investigate my cabinet sagging and the water damage. (As luck would have it, my over-the-range microwave survived and had no damage at all.) Instead of Adrian, Guillermo showed up, who was friendly, informative and easy to work with. We did have a hiccup with the microwave, which ended up being broken during the remount. That is the only reason I'm not giving this a five-star review. For consumers, I STRONGLY recommend filming and showing your electronic appliances work BEFORE any contractor arrives. It's difficult to prove that an appliance used to work (especially during a water damage repair) when it stops working mid-job. Couple other critiques were that the microwave doors were out of alignment and one set of cabinet doors was put in upside down. Although Jim (the owner) is absolutely NOT a people person and could've made a bad situation much much much worse, I respect that Guillermo was reasonably cool and Anthony (office manager) was professional and polite too. To Jim's credit, he did offer a happy medium with the microwave that my insurance would cover. I was relieved when Guillermo returned with Angel because this was a two-person job in the first place and over-the-range microwaves are heavy. Although it was obvious that Guillermo was not nearly as enthused be there the second time around, he and Angel did the job that needed to be done. He also tested and photographed the microwave remount and made sure I did too. I've walked past my kitchen and smile every time I see that the cabinet and microwave are fixed. Family came over for my birthday and also complimented the work this week. Even through the hiccups, I would still say this is a job well done and would continue to recommend them to others since 2020. While I wish it could've been a smooth repair the way the other one was, life happens. I still respect this company's work.

Hired Northshore Painting &Restoration to paint the entire exterior of my over 100 year old wood…read moreclapboard home. I received 3 estimates including NorthShore's. Jiri the owner came out and spent a great deal of time looking at my house and the condition of the current paint. I found him to be very professional and trustworthy based on my conversations with him. He showed up when he said he would, and responded right away to any questions. After the contract was signed he received one third of the total amount, he informed me he would not cash the check until they were ready to start! He stuck to his word and held onto the check for a month. The process included: power washing the entire house, scraping and priming where necessary and two coats of Sherwin Williams Duration paint. His price was very reasonable, and a few thousand dollars below another estimate, and within the same range of the third. His crew which consisted of Santos and two other guys did a great job,cleaned up everyday, and were very respectful of my property. Jiri came by every couple of days to check on the progress and ask me how it was going, if I had any concerns or questions. The whole job took about one week, and the results are great. I would definitely hire Northshore again for any of my painting needs.

They got to work quick and made sure to cover all furniture, tape off the trim, and even did the cutting of the trim outside to avoid too much dust in the apartment. Was thoroughly impressed with the finished product and absolutely will use them in the future. Couldn't recommend them enough!
