Jesse, who came to bid the job, was knowledgeable, helpful, and obviously had authority to respond to questions and concerns. Peter, the owner, reviewed Jesse's video of the job, and approved the written bid. We chose 312Flooring. Their bid was not the lowest, but they were not the highest either. Peter and Jesse guided the project through our Condo Assn., stayed in touch with us reporting their progress, and were ready to start on the date promised. On the appointed day, the installation crew, Juan and his two sons, arrived. The next three days were almost pleasurable -- they were skilled, polite, respectful of our home, and enormously helpful in resolving the difficulties that arise during any remodeling project. Our floor was finished on time and on budget and we are very pleased with the finished product. When the installer team came out, they did not replace the boards and told me new boards were unnecessary. I was still charged for the board replacements anyway. I disputed this directly with the company on March 19th, the day of the installation, and did not receive a follow-up. I had to reach back out on March 31st to continue addressing the issue. At that point, they asked for photos, despite my earlier explanation that photos would not prove anything because of the nature of the work. Today, they responded by saying the pictures were "not proof" and agreed to issue a refund, but only after I pushed the issue. At that point, it's no longer just about the money. It's about integrity, poor internal communication, and how a legitimate customer concerns are handled by this business.
