We used Cabinets Plus to design and install a new master bathroom in our 20 year-old house. The Kunzweiler brothers were a pleasure to work with (Dave for the design, Kent for the installation). They came up with a great design - Asian theme (per our request) with custom cabinets, mirror and tub face all designed with beautiful fretwork. The cabinetry and woodwork was top notch. The fantastic tile selection for the shower and floor (heated), and bamboo-themed satin nickel faucets really pulled it all together. The Cambria Quartz vanity and tub tops were the icing on the cake. The Cabinets Plus installation crew (led by Ron) was very friendly and professional, always on schedule, and very attentive to taking care of our house and keeping the job site as clean as possible. In fact, we trusted them so much they had full house access and completed most of the project while we were in Singapore! Having had such a great experience with Cabinets Plus on our master bathroom, we just had them design and install a new kitchen. We wanted open cabinets across the top near the ceiling to display our mask collection from our travels around the globe. Dave pulled together another beautiful design, including hidden LED light strips in the open cabinets and three upper cabinets with glass doors. The backsplash around the kitchen is antiqued mirror, with the electrical outlets and phone jack hidden under the upper cabinets. A special tile (floral pattern) from Artistic Tile (Chicago Merchandise Mart) was used for the cooktop backsplash. The dishwasher and refrigerator were paneled to match the white cabinets, and Dave found a Blanco Silgranite sink in white that blends beautifully into the design. We had the same installation crew that did our master bathroom, and once again the craftsmanship was superb, and the project was completed on schedule. The kitchen is stunning, especially at dusk with the masks illuminated and the island crystal chandelier lit. We are very happy with the results, and wouldn't change a thing. I waited a very long time to update the kitchen in my tiny 50's ranch. I'm so glad that I listened to my neighbor's strong urging to have Cabinets Plus do the work. From the first meeting with designer Melissa to the completion of the project, my every concern was addressed, particularly those of design and budget. Once the project began I received a daily agenda of the work that was to be done from Ken of the home office. I believe that there are several different crews, but, lucky me, I got the number one team of Kevin and Mike. They were really terrific! In 2016, Cabinets Plus remodeled our master and hall bathrooms. In 2017, they remodeled our kitchen including removal of a wall, remodeled our powder room, installed hardwood floors throughout the first floor and second floor hallway, and installed hardwood treads on our previously carpeted stairway. This is the third time we've worked with Cabinets Plus. Our first two times we just had a few things done in our kitchen and one bathroom. This year we completely remodeled our kitchen. They are fabulous to work with from design through to completion. They don't start until they have all their materials and workers available so when they start, they have a schedule which they follow closely so they were done exactly when they said they would. We highly recommend them and would use them again. My son and his wife have used them twice....once to install a bathroom in their basement where none existed and to remodel a powder room. I'm always nervous about contractors, having been burned in the past. So I wanted to highly recommend these guys. They did awesome work on our kitchen - the design was terrific and the whole project came in on time, and on budget. All the workers were clean and pleasant. I really like that it's obviously a second- or third-generation family business. The father and brothers all work together, they're local residents, and you can see that they really care about the work and their long-term reputation. That was important to me - we had a contractor once who seemed really nice, then after we paid our deposit he disappeared. I'd use them again for a bathroom remodel, no question. read more

Our master bathroom had never been upgraded since the house was built in the early 1960's. Cabinets Plus did a complete tear down to the studs and replaced everything.
