They took our bathroom from 1986 Miami Vice on steroids and completely transformed it into a contemporary spa-like retreat. They did such a great job we had them return to build a new deck and remodel our kitchen. We will have them back again, whenever the next project rolls around. Deborah Pernice was our designer; she was able to use her expertise and our vision to design a beautiful, family-friendly kitchen in our 2200 square foot house that has allowed us to host our large family. Deborah went to bat for us in designing and redesigning our floor plan to make us able to knock down a small support wall and add an island so that our kitchen is now completely open to an odd-shaped dining addition that was done by previous owners in an aesthetically-pleasing way. We love our kitchen and all the smart choices Deborah made, such as a stick-vacuum and electronics cabinet, lazy susan, and beautiful lighting options. I recommend Deborah if you are looking to design your kitchen or bathroom in the Northwest suburbs.

Professionalism: From the outset, the owner, Karl, demonstrated outstanding professionalism. He provided a prompt, competitive estimate, and the final cost actually came in slightly under budget. The demolition was carried out with surgical precision, and the entire worksite was kept immaculately clean throughout the project. Karl and his partner David handled all the work themselves--eliminating the typical delays and coordination issues that come with juggling multiple subcontractors. Creativity and Craftsmanship: Karl's insight during the planning phase helped us reimagine the layout to maximize both space and functionality. He offered thoughtful, practical design suggestions that elevated the final result, guiding us toward choices that added real value. Karl and David brought an old-world craftsmanship and an impeccable attention to detail to every stage of the process. High-quality materials were used throughout, and Karl's network of skilled artisans--including a stone mason and glass cutter--ensured that every component was expertly sourced and installed at a fair price. In short, ABA Remodeling delivered exceptional quality and service at a value that's hard to beat. We had such a positive experience that we're already planning a second renovation project with them.

We liked what we heard and the vision they gave. Jeff P was our project manager and Dove was our decorator. We love our kitchen and they were great to work with. In fact, we loved the kitchen so much that we hired them to gut our family room and redo that the following year. PERFECTION! Chris Hilgers was our Project Manager (great guy) and Dove was back with us on this project. So, now that those 2 rooms were new and amazing, the flooring in the living/dining room needed to be the same and the carpet on the stairs and upstairs landing needed to be replaced to match. So, a year later we started that project and we were fortunate to work with Tammy and Sean. Tammy got everything ordered and Sean (so personable) implemented everything to again-PERFECTION! The one thing that stands out with this place are the workers. Every single person we dealt with was great. From the kitchen remodel-Jeff P, Dove, Will, Chris G, Tommy etc, to the family room- Chris H, Dove, Tommy, Will, Chris G and then to our Living/Dining/Stairs-Sean, and Tammy they worked hard to please us. John, the owner, got us started on each project, which was a nice touch. I hope I didn't forget anyone! So, if you are thinking of remodeling, OHI should be on your list of consideration. You won't be disappointed. Thank you.

What used to be a clean slate before, and then, after it flooded, a dump, became our pride and joy thanks to Robert, Dawid and their team. This has been our first extensive home project, and having them as our contractors made it that much more seamless and less stressful. We had a lot to get done within a specific time frame. Despite being booked for months in advance, Dawid found a slot to accomodate our project, and he and the crew knocked it out in 3 weeks. They even worked Saturdays and holidays to make sure it would be finished on time. Always punctual, hardworking, honest and respectful. We were in awe of their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Robert is a wiz at his craft, he accomodated several of our last minute ideas, made the impossible become possible in the nick of time. Dawid was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process, always communicated promptly despite his extremely busy schedule and always had an explanation, advice and an alternative on hand when needed. They even fixed numerous problems with our home that came to light during construction and weren't included in the original plan. Having this crew around brought much peace, confidence and enjoyment into what otherwise has been a stressful, challenging and testing time in our lives, having dealt with the flood, insurance company and our first major remodel.
