Some helpful hints based on our experience: 1. A big countertop dealer like MSI, located in Elk Grove Village, has a very large showroom where you can see the full countertop slabs. We had some preferences based on the web site pictures and the little quartz samples, but ended up selecting a different slab once we were in the showroom. You really want to see the full countertop slabs before your decision is finalized. 2. We were really disappointed with the Home Depot service, which is The Countertop Factory - Midwest. There was an extremely hard sell visit to our house and a take-it-or-leave it price. 3. Many quartz countertop installation services want you to select quartz they already have in stock. Davan let us shop around and we selected an MSI countetop, which MSI already had in stock. Our job therefore proceeded quickly from final slab selection to installation (less than two weeks). 4. I was unnecessarily nervous about our kitchen tile backsplash when our old formica countertops were replaced with new quartz countertops. We wanted to retain the old kitchen backsplash. That was not a problem and the installation occurred smoothly.

But after many unanswered emails and phone calls to them, we became frustrated and decided to look for another company. I did a Yelp search and sent messages to 5 different businesses. Dejan was the first person to respond (7 minutes after I sent the initial message - talk about responsive!!!) I can confidently say that DK Stone's prices are the best in the market after comparing them amongst the other 4 competitors. The best part is that everyone else had told me that I would need to buy at least 2 slabs for the dimensions of our countertop. I asked Dejan how many slabs we would need and he said ONE SLAB for both island countertop and stovetop countertop!! He was able to calculate a configuration that would get everything done with minimal waste - this was huge in terms of cost. He had his guys come out to measure 5 days later and the counter tops were installed a couple of weeks after that. Everything was perfect, they were so efficient. Okay so now you have an idea of their work but what about service? Someone had accidentally taken our garbage disposal ring when they were cleaning up after the job so we couldn't get the disposal installed - we reached out to Dejan and he had someone drop it off. He could have easily ghosted us since the job was done but he was still just as responsive. We seriously cannot recommend DK Stone enough - we are so impressed and after being let down by so many other companies this was the breath of fresh air we needed.

We made it clear that the counter had to be lifted at anytime if a repair was required on the washer or dryer. Upon install, they glued the counter down. Shortly thereafter, they had to remove the glue. Since the wall was damaged at that point, they tried to cut the stone down some. We just had to lift it again yesterday and now the wall has to be repaired again.... And I need to find someone to grind it down. I reached out to them another time in the recent past about it still not being the right size, but didn't get a response.

We could not believe he was able to only have one seam, which is very difficult to see. He blended it beautifully with a difficult pattern, and managed to "hide" it well! Since there are not many reviews for granite best price, we were a little nervous. We certainly made the right choice and highly recommend! Julian was competitive on price as well, not sure why other poster was upset, we received several quotes and in the end Julian was certainly among the best, with zero surprises added!

Ordered a quartz countertop and a sink from Victor who I found through Facebook Marketplace…read more Picked it up on Friday and Victor wasn't there but his employee was. The employee put the sink on backwards. He had to rip it off and put it back on again. He did not do a good job as it shifted off of the countertop on our way home. Plus there wasn't a good amount of sealant or whatever between the sink and the countertop. I reached out to Victor and told him, sent pictures per his request and no response. Reached out six days later and still no response. Even got a read receipt from his iPhone saying he read it. Had to remove the sink ourselves and found the sink was defective with a bump in the porcelain plus his employee got adhesive, (like caulk but nothing would take it off), on the porcelain. Had to order a new sink. As my spouse and I were installing the sink correctly, we realized Victor's employee had cut it wrong. The unfinished side with the side splash should have been seven inches and the finished side should be six, (as it's not against a wall). Instead the unfinished side is six and the finished side is seven. With the side splash on it looks ridiculous and uneven. I messaged Victor, (no idea if that's even his real name), though Facebook messenger and he wasn't responding even though I could see he was reading my messages. When I said he doesn't care because he had his money he sent me a message back that made no sense and blocked me. Absolutely will not recommend. Avoid at all costs. This guy and his team are a scam and have no business doing anything with quartz or granite. Shoddy work. I'm out hundreds of dollars, but you don't have to be! Find someone else. Anyone and anywhere else...just not this place. This place shouldn't even have one star. It's that bad.
