They do not look like they were painted, they look like I bought them that way. That's professional. That's beautiful. That's art. They do not cut corners! Please note that they do not just paint your cabinets and call it a day. It's an extensive and laborious multi-step process, which they take care and effort to complete. Lots of washing and sanding and priming - then painting. They even patch any existing damaged areas. They are thorough and detailed! Clean. I confess - I'm a bit of a neat freak. I also have really expensive wood floors that I was slightly freaking out about them getting paint on. NOPE. Not one tiny little, stray spec of paint anywhere. Nico made sure to clean up after himself before leaving everyday. He even mopped my kitchen floor one day, which officially makes him one of my favorite humans. Timely. They gave me a start date, which they very much started on. And kept me informed of how things were moving along. They didn't waste my time. Nico was at my front door when he said he would be - not one minute later. Transparent. From the quoting process, to project start, project duration, and project completion - I knew what was happening and what to expect. We originally contracted to have only the cabinets and doors painted, but then opted to have the inside of the cabinets painted, as well as the inside shelves. Do not consider this company when looking for your cabinets to be painted. When I decided not to get my cabinets painted, he would not return my money. It cost him absolutely nothing and the start date was never ever confirmed. It was my mistake that I didn't get a firm start date. He repeatedly kept saying how honest he was and quite frankly, he is the opposite. Do not give a down payment unless you have a firm start date. I was contacted by HomeAdvisors recently after posting a negative review about this company and the owner immediately contacted them demanding that my review be removed. They would not agree to remove my review because I was stating the facts, he took my money for nothing in return. His wife had the sense to contact HomeAdvisor and ask what could be done to remedy the situation. HimeAdvisor contacted me and I agreed to take my review down if I received by down payment back. She agreed to do so. That was yesterday. Today the owner called HomeAdvisor and said that he won't return my down payment. Stay far away from this company and it's owner!.It is his way or no way. Fantastic - describes the process from beginning to the end! Tommy took his time to explain the process over the phone. He pointed to his website where I could learn more. Nico came at the start of the project and patiently explained the process. Over the next few days he transformed the cabinet frames in the kitchen and bathrooms. After the completion of the project, I asked Nico about the appearance of a cabinet door and drawer. As throughout the entire project his attitude was "let's see what we can do". Tommy had the same attitude. Nico brought the two pieces back and Tommy had done his "magic" on the two pieces. Donna kept me informed throughout the difference phases of the project. My only regret is I didn't book earlier. The price had increased by the time we confirmed the start date. Fortunately, Tommy's other son has a painting business. I'm concerned another painter might mess up the cabinets so I have asked Tommy's son to paint the kitchen walls. read more

If you are debating on whether or not you want to wait for Got a Painter due to all the jobs in front of yours or the price is a little higher than other bids, this review is for YOU!  My wife and I decided we just couldn't wait the 3 month lead time for Got a Painter to do our cabinet refinishing.  We hired someone else who said all the right things and could start right away.  The result was a disaster and Got a Painter saved the day!  That someone else did not do the proper prep work on the cabinets, cut corners, used an incorrect primer and paint combination and ultimately we ended up with a mess that cost us thousands of dollars to fix.  Small claims court is in our future now due to our lack of patience.  Don't make the same mistake!  Tommy and his wife were compassionate and empathetic to our situation.  They were willing to work nights, weekends, and early mornings to fit my job in to rectify all the damage.    No one knows more about paint, primers, clear coats, sealants, or refinishing cabinets than Got a Painter period.  You will not find anyone who is as professional, knowledgeable, or dedicated to the craft of cabinet refinishing as Got a Painter.  I have gutted 3 kitchens and I have never met someone who takes such great pride in producing quality work.  Don't risk it.  Wait for Got a Painter.  I don't want to see anyone go through 8 months of hell like we did or spend thousands of dollars to clean up a hot mess.  Just hire Got a Painter and sleep well at night knowing your cabinet refinishing will be done right the first time.  I am happy to speak to anyone who is on the fence as to whether or not to wait for Got a Painter.  I have the pictures of what Tommy fixed to prove he is worth the wait.  Don't make the same mistake my wife and I made. read more

My kitchen cabinets were completed yesterday by Nico and Frank from Got A Painter, and the results are amazing! I loved my natural maple cabinets, but after 20 years, wear and tear start showing. Now they look fresh and modern! My countertops look amazing against the base cabinet color I picked, and with new hardware, I've got a kitchen that looks brand new at a small fraction of the cost of replacing my cabinets! This is a family owned company that recently refinished my kitchen cabinets, butler pantry cabinets and bathroom vanities. Tommy is the father who I first spoke with and explained how the process would go, what the job would involve, what their experience was and answered all of my questions. Nico is their son who came to my home with another co-worker who is professional, polite, answered all of my questions, and was very easy to communicate with. Donna is the mother who manages the financial part. At first I did not think I would work well with her, however I believe this is in part that she only communicates by email or text and this form of communication can be easily misunderstood. The process working with Donna turned out to be just fine. I am extremely pleased with my cabinets, the finish, the quality, and how new my kitchen looks.
